Don't you understand what the three "Woe's" mean?
It's not going to be pleasant for us... scriptures weren't written to heathens...it was written to followers of Christ.

You don't fear death, but you fear only silly things? How is that possible?I used to fear death, not really anymore though. I still have fears, but they're usually silly things. I can't help it, they pop up, any suggestions?

You're the one that doesn't fear death, why are you asking us on how to overcome your silly fears, I still fear death, very much???
Well, I'm very sorry to hear about your condition, but fears of all sorts are prevalent in each and every one of us. I've never met anyone who doesn't fear death, at least who are able to face it or look it in the eye (as opposed to being unaware when it happens).Death comes in many forms, from very painful as in a crushed car in a car accident or crushed under a roof in an earthquake, to not so painful as in one's heart stopping suddenly and black out of the mind. So perhaps I still fear death sure.
But I have some mental disorders I have to deal with so my mind produces odd things that normal people don't experience. I take medication for it so I function pretty well, but weird things still surface.

I've heard jshii makes this claim way too many times, but even the first time that he said it I did not believe him. It takes either a great man of faith, or one with a death wish, to not fear death, and the former is derived from his faith and understanding of the after-life.
I'm not the wise, I'm not that faithful, spiders still scare me, and I still have some immature personal insecurities - so sorry, I'm probably not the right guy to help anyone else with their issues.
Yes, but your final remark requires a profound conviction. Yes, a less painful death would scare me less than a torturous one, but both will make me fearful and weak. Ideally, no Christion should be anxious, for as Paul said, no one can fathom what God has in store for those who love him. To the point, we'll be ashamed to think that we ever had an attachment to this putrid world, all its conventions and all the decay that is in it. But again, what great faith and wisdom is required to attain to such a lofty conviction?I've had a lot of interaction with God, and I feel safe in him. I used to fear death and had to go to the ER every time I thought I was having a heart attack, when in all actuality it was weird anxiety mimicking heart attack symptoms. But God brought me past that, and now when I have anxiety, I don't fear that it might kill me (the heart attack), cause it's not so bad of a death. And if I pass onto the other side, well, I'll be OK.

Well, that's a very good point. Yes, when one behaves correctly, in a manner where there is no guilt, then yes, fear of punishment subsides and one's character is strengthened with a clear conscious, with a fearless anticipation of the judgement to come. And, as you said, faith in God casts away fears, for if He is for you, who can be against you?I agree. No one really knows what awaits on the other side. Many would disagree with you on that also. But the conviction comes from the fruits of the Holy Spirit, namely "peace" and "love" from God, which casts out fear of judgment. See Galatians 5:22-23
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law."
And I believe that was from Paul as well. And this love I feel when the Holy Spirit fills me with it is the love of God for me personally. So personal convictions aside, these fruits have no law against them, no judgment will prevail against them.
My understanding of this "against such there is no law" is limited as I'm still somewhat new to them. Hope that helps get my point across though.
But basically when I'm filled with the fruits of the spirit I don't feel fears like those that could cause death anxieties.

Absolutely they were, but as far as you are concerned, you are too boastful about it, and not imparting a profound wisdom, but mere clichés, in order to instill it in others. So, I question the veracity of your affirmation.Stephen who was stoned, John the Baptist who was beheaded, neither feared Death!

A union of church and state which prophecy demands I see more coming from the right. I could be wrong. Politics is a strange beast when behaving well, but when it's behaving badly, is predatorial, tyrannical, dictatorial, and corrupt as a two bob watch. (An old kiwi idiom... Translated into American would be corrupt as a two dime watch.
