I believe that God works in two ways. 1. that God chooses to intervene in the affairs of man. 2. Or to lets things take it's natural course, by that I mean for example, Joseph when his brothers but him in a pit to die, but God meant for him to live and become second in power to Pharaoh so that he could save his family.

Genesis 50:19-21 (New King James Version)
[sup]19[/sup] Joseph said to them, “Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? [sup]20[/sup] But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. [sup]21[/sup] Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones.” And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

I look at things a little different.....................Not saying the way you look at it is wrong though.

God gets involved when someone has faith. Believes God. He always gets involved at that point.

I don't believe in Natural course. There is a spirit realm, and it's very active. God did not intened for Joseph to be captive, but Joseph still believed God. God could have gotten him to where he was at without being captive. Because joseph trusted God, God was able to continue with his ultimate plane.

That is how I look at it.

Jesus Is Lord.

You are a rare bird. I've heard some very charismatic preachers say that God doesn't act in the affairs of men, that there is no 'divine plan' for one's life and that God only acts on the level of the nations. If one is to accept that as an axiom then Jesus' ministry was some sort of fluke.

As for me, I am living testimony that God does indeed intervene in the affairs of men. I'd be dead several times over if He hadn't; shipwrecks, drowning, storms at sea, traffic accidents, a Communist mob all survived by yours truly because of the grace of God.

I very much agree....He does work in the lives of many but my understanding is that He only does that in the lives of His elect. He doesn't interfere with those of free will for they must make the choice.

In reading your post I thought...this sounds like a great book or movie in the making. "A communist mob?" You really need to go into more detail on that one....please. :D
