The town square test...
If a person cannot walk into the middle of the town square and express his or her views without fear of arrest, imprisonment, or physical harm, then that person is living in a fear society, not a free society... (Natan Sharansky)

6 weeks ago the Victoria police (vicpol) lied by saying that protesting was illegal...
They used unreasonable force and violence to arrest people.
They even arrested people for "inciting protests" by sharing twitter posts...

Daniel Andrews perpetuated this lie in order to stop people from voicing their disapproval at his government...
A move that only a true dictator would do...

Now police Chief Wiggum confirms that protest is actually our human right...

Our government and cops seemed to remember this after someone took them to court...
This has infuriated the good people of Melbourne who have been treated like criminals and have had their lives destroyed.

Cannel 9 coverage of protests

Some protests got violent with Melbournians letting their anger show after 8 months being locked down for a flu-like virus.

Protestors attack police car

Despite the media keeping silent there were still thousands who protested

Sky news coverage of the protests

Avi's coverage... He was arrested a month ago for reporting on the protests

If someone can demonstrate that I have one "right", then I will exercise that "right" to make that person the Prime Minister of Australia irrespective of the "rights" that others in Australia might believe that they have.

It is a challenge for any liberally minded person to accept for the betterment of Australia no less.

What is tragic is seeing so many people risking getting infected and spreading the virus. No wonder the pandemic hasn't ended. People aren't being careful or wise enough to stop it in this manner. I think this is far too risky behavior. Then again, I resided in a nursing facility for over two years. I should know the danger because these were the true front lines.

Your not taking into account the unique situation we have down here...
We've had the longest and strictest lockdowns in the western world with the lowest covid numbers in the western world... Averaging only 3 new cases per day in the last 2 weeks... I don't know anyone who has had covid yet everyone i know has had their lives turned upside down...

Also this government has a carte blanche, they've effectively replaced democracy with dictatorship by holding onto these "state of emergency" powers...

Nothing and non actually, just like you, because we have no rights at all, only privileges and responsibilities which are known as liberties as defined within the boundaries of the associated laws of the region with respect to each liberty.

Rights, freedoms, liberties, call it what u like... U haven't suffered or sacrificed anything.
Yet there you are, on the other side of the country having a sook about Victorians, demanding that we all keep suffering... The hypocrisy...

U haven't got a clue mate, no one outside of Melbourne does...
Im starting to wonder if u even care about anyone else or if your just thinking about yourself, afraid of covid...

But why would anyone want to freely share and spread covid?

Anyway I respect the authorities and acknowledge that they are only trying to keep people safe during a pandemic.

For you its only political... That is sad...

Why is it political though?

We are in such a good position as a nation compared to many other nations who wish they were in the same position as Australia.

I did not vote for Daniel Andrews, I 2nd last preferenced the ALP last election and I still wouldn't vote for them, simply because I do not agree with a lot of their policies.

But I believe God has allowed Dan Andrews to be Premier of Victoria for this moment in time.

You trust Dan, right... U will support whatever decision he makes, true...
That's political commitment...

You can believe what you want to believe.

But agreement with one thing doesn't equal agreement with everything.

Hey, Josho, you’re sounding like me concerning MY president. I KNEW you and I had SOMETHING in common. I mean, at least ONE thing. :)

This is quite a report. You could be a writer.

Does your constitution state that y’all have the right to protest? The US Constitution states the we have a right to assemble and a right to petition our government, but not a right to protest per se. But I suppose protests would fall under freedom of speech.

The sad thing here is that it’s gotten very one-sided with the thinking that only radical liberals should be free to protest, even if it turns violent. It’s craziness. And all this violent protesting without masks!!:eek:

I think the refusal to wear masks and practice social distancing is selfish and nothing more than an stubborn rebellion. And the moaning about freedom being lost is an excuse to complain about being expected to put the welfare of other people before your own. It's a smoke screen.

Ah, anti-masker space like they used to give us non-smokers.

How nice. :) :) :)

And Neither did the Hulk! :D

Well, Superman wore his underwear on the outside of his pants and the Hulk couldn't control his temper.
