Is this what you believe? How can a Christian say such a thing???
ha look you are good hearted, and have imo just accepted what our pastors taught, like we all do at first; but Giuliano has a point, that could easily be brought out Scripturally. We all start out deceived, i guess, thinking Christianity is about going somewhere after we have died, right, either heaven or hell?

Good for you. Many people cannot really discern what are their own ideas and what were "injected" into their minds from the outside. The goal should be to return to being as innocent as a little child . . . before the "ideas" from the world came and confused us, even making us think the bad ideas were ours -- so we felt guilty and shame and wanted to pretend we didn't have such thoughts. Get back to being a child -- they aren't really your thoughts!
We cannot return to innocence @Giuliano ! However, we have the righteousness of Christ when we are born again.

Yes it brought me closer to God. And to be honest I was freed of childhood entanglements, but also meditation can make one selfish I think, at least it did for me. So it kinda healed me but channeled me away from Christ a little. But I was in church at the time and I was steered back shortly thereafter.
interesting, by and large meditation is credited with divorcing most ppl from their egos. Im curious how it made you selfish?

I should have explained, sorry. I didn't want to be slow to be offended. And for a while would attack people that were not acting peaceful and graceful. Only thru Church and realizing that I needed more patients in long suffering did I finally feel OK to be offended from others not being like little children. And then I got on social media, and wow, that took some time to become thick skinned too, and I'm still getting stronger :)

What the serpent is remains a mystery within Christianity in large part.
Not if you read to the end of the Book!

Revelation 20:1-3--Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven with the key to the abyss and a great chain in his hand. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years. He threw him into the abyss, closed it, and put a seal on it so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the 1,000 years were completed. After that, he must be released for a short time.

The "ancient serpent," the one in the Garden who lied to Eve was the Devil and Satan!

That doesn't explain why he referred to him as a serpent. There's symbolism not explained.

ah well, all of them i guess, or at least any of them that have an arrangement with the government that makes them tax-free. I know that this is likely a um completely foreign understanding to you right now, so ill say that imo this does not condemn you, or even them, necessarily; they are playing a valuable part, even if that sounds impossible to reconcile at first lol, the heir is under servants until he inherits and all that.

its kinda hard to produce evidence for your hearing, but you might note that your understanding of Christianity has you currently focused on your "afterlife," right?

can you Quote the lie then, if you would, ty

I don't think you're correct here, we can return to some innocence thru counseling, meditation and religion.
People can talk about their own ideas of what "conversion" is -- but Jesus was clear about it. We'd better do our best to return to innocence.

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

That may even involve becoming as clever as the serpent while retaining the loving innocent nature of the child. If people cannot see how they were fooled into thinking "bad ideas" were their own, they can be fooled again and again.

Matthew 10:16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

It is more dangerous to try to raise the kundalini up to the inner eye chakra via meditation or yoga. Jesus mentioned that chakra too, calling it the "single eye." If that single eye is pure and in light, it's wonderful to have the kundalini reach it; indeed miracles can be performed that way. But if the inner eye has a slight impurity or darkness and kundalini enters, it can exit, going out into the world -- and that can take someone into the area of black magic without his knowing what's going on. There are some "Christian" "miracle workers who perform their miracles using kundalini without knowing it, and sometimes they fall into black magic too.
Explanation of chakra from Wikipedia:

Chakra
(Sanskrit: चक्र, IAST: cakra, Pali: cakka, lit. wheel, circle; English: /ˈtʃʌk-, ˈtʃækrə/ CHUK-, CHAK-rə[2]) are various focal points used in a variety of ancient meditation practices, collectively denominated as Tantra, or the esoteric or inner traditions of Hinduism.[3][4][5]

The concept is found in the early traditions of Hinduism.[6] Beliefs differ between the Indian religions, with many Buddhist texts consistently mentioning five chakras, while Hindu sources offer six or even seven.[7][3][4] Early Sanskrit texts speak of them both as meditative visualizations combining flowers and mantras and as physical entities in the body.[7] Some modern interpreters speak of them as complexes of electromagnetic variety, the precise degree and variety of which directly arise from a synthetic average of all positive and negative so-called "fields", thus eventuating the complex Nadi.[8][4] Within kundalini yoga, the techniques of breath exercises, visualizations, mudras, bandhas, kriyas, and mantras are focused on manipulating the flow of subtle energy through chakras.
You said that "Jesus mentioned that chakra too, calling it the 'single eye.'"

This is nonsense! Jesus said nothing about chakras. I suppose you think Jesus was a Hindu. Or do you believe that all religions lead to God?

Being converted doesn't mean being like a child. It means being born again of the Spirit. But unless we come to Jesus LIKE a little child, we cannot be born again.

John 3:5-21--Jesus answered, “I assure you: Unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. Whatever is born of the flesh is flesh, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again. The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear its sound, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

It is very important to know the devil's strategies. Paul said the he was not ignorant of Satan's schemes.

ha well if satan appears as an angel of light then it is at least advisable to contemplate whether every single thing that initially sounds good to us comes from satan or not eh
The "ancient serpent," the one in the Garden who lied to Eve was the Devil and Satan!
see, when you cannot Quote the lie, then you become the serpent, imo
bc you have now made a statement of Absolute Truth, right

(just an example, pls dont get offended)
Being converted doesn't mean being like a child. It means being born again of the Spirit. But unless we come to Jesus LIKE a little child, we cannot be born again.
"it's like this, it's like that," see, we are trained into talking like snakes early on

now, if being converted does in fact mean exactly like becoming a little child, you have been made into a serpent, yes? Not agreeing or disagreeing with the premise, right now

By your own words, you stand condemned. You show us you do not know what "born again" is.

Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

You have not yet seen Jesus as he was raised up like the serpent on the pole. You have some other christ. You are still stumbling about in the darkness, convinced you have the truth. You may be too busy imagining evil in others than to be able to recognize it in yourself?

I honestly hope that you are saved, Matt. But if you believe that you are God, I have my doubts. I'm praying for you!!

I can assure you, I do not believe I am God. But, God dwells in me. "Christ in you, the hope of glory." I do not believe in New Age religions. I do believe that God's wisdom is beyond human understanding, so I do not claim to know that people who practice yoga are sinning.
