That's a highlight from the video, somewhere near the bottom of the rabbit hole. She started Yoga innocently to help with her pregnancy. I know they are long videos, I watched one all over again because it is such such a wonderful testimony. But if you can't be bothered...

Yeah I watched a good portion of the video and she was definitely practicing a different religion than Christianity, and probably into the occult. Wow strange experience.

My ex-wife once had a sleep over with a friend that was a Buddhist. And she made fun of her Buddhist religion, and when she woke up she had a bloody nose and knew that it was because she made fun of Buddhist people. She was sure of it. Experiences are a mixed bag of nuts. But yeah this is a Christian site. I like prayer and meditation though. Which is something we're taught in the 12 step program. And I see nothing wrong with that, especially if it involves God.

If it centers around God I can't see a problem. I would be weary of any seemingly superfluous things, like mantras.

It just doesn't seem to be like the same thing to me. All I do is listen to calm music and sounds to meditate upon and flex my body in different ways. That's it.

Yeah, my kind of Yoga doesn't have to do with Buddhism.

My meditation was listening to relaxing music for a while, then I switched to praying to God. I fasted and prayed for 3 days on different occasions early on. But I really don't give that much time to it anymore.

Paul spoke in aboslutes . its men today who absolutely say there is no absolute truth . I dont , wont and shant fall for it .
Truth IS absolute and it absolutely is not subject to change . BIBLES OPEN . Judgment day is coming .
And we all better know its the BIBLICAL JESUS we follow and not a jesus of our minds creation .
well, we are often led to say stuff like that i guess, but many will come from East and west and recline at table with Abe in the kingdom,
I have other flocks you are not aware of,
even
There are many rooms in My Father's house, which I would not tell you unless it were true,
so no offense but i think ima let you dig a pit for others to fall into if you dont mind ok

we played a little game here before you guys arrived, viz "absolute truth," that i guess virtually everyone hated :D
wanna try? State a single Absolute Truth from Scripture, if you think you can

Paul maybe spoke in absolutes, but Christians believe they can Quote
"to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"
nonetheless, lol
and ps fwiw your yelling just makes a point other than the one you think, wadr

Noticed your post and verse. Been considering Titus 1:15 a lot lately with: Philippians 4:7-9 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. [8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. [9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.

could it be a matter of perspective? The lens through which things are viewed. Through Christ: mercy grace, forgiveness all things are pure. But through the lens of condemnation nothing is pure but instead darkened.
Something like that. If someone wants a peaceful mind and meditation helps them, we can see their purpose is pure.

Those with impure minds are apt to invent impure motives for almost everything else, the way Michal did when she criticized David. She imagined evil where none existed; and I would say it wasn't David cursing her, she brought a curse down on herself.

For the record, here is where I have discussed kundalini before. Readers can see what Prayer Warrior said about me isn't true.

I wonder where this might lead...

You got it. The non-Christians know about it. Why don't Christians? The serpent must be "lifted up." However I have a word of caution -- to the impure, all things are impure. Someone practing yoga or meditation to raise kundalini can put himself in grave danger. It doesn't work. The heart chakra must be pure first. If it isn't, the person is risking extreme danger -- spiritual madness being one. Seek first the kingdom is the only sound advice -- and trust that "all these things" will be added. Not too many people go completely insane by those practices, but some do and get carted off to mental institutions. What can I say? God is not mocked.

It is also a danger if the "inner eye" chakra (called the single eye by Jesus) is in darkness. The person can be dong black magic without knowing it. The things in his evil imagination of that impure chakra can do some damage, that's for sure. Better then to let the serpent energy lie dormant until the upper ones are purified.

Yoga for relaxation is one thing, as harmless as taking a walk. Doing it to raise the kundalini can lead to serious trouble. I repeat: Seek first the kingdom and all the other things will be added. Obey the Golden Rule; and seek the pure heart.

Lol, "Yoga condemnation." Sounds ominous.

Yes, I do condemn Yogo as an occult practice that opens a person to demonic influence. You can do what you want to do, but if you're wise, you'll listen to these former yogis. They know what they're talking about.

I pray that no Christians will fooled into participating in practices designed for any occult purposes.

Unfortunately many think it is alright.....

Perhaps we should also pray that God opens their eyes to occult practices and they turn away from these occult practices.

there's a semi-famous little old lady in yoga cirlcles, shes like 90, and had a hunchback, looking straight down it was so bad, until like 6 months of yoga straightened her out. Guess i could prolly dig up the video. Point being that yoga can be a lifesaver too i think

There's nothing wrong with meditation.
It depends on what kind of meditation. Eastern meditation alters a person's consciousness. That's the whole point of doing this kind of meditation--to empty the mind of thought....

When I meditate on Bible verses, I fill my mind with God's Word.

Isaiah 55:11-- So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
