Matt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Jn 3:16 believes, a perpetual state of believing, present tense, not a one time only past tense “I’m saved” now let’s play golf and get drunk!

Scripture says the following regarding salvation. There is a past aspect, a present aspect and a future aspect to our salvation.

Past
Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Present
1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

Future
Romans 5:9
having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

hope this helps!!!

Why do you always everyone always say “I’m saved” only past tense?

that actually refers to justification not salvation thru Mk 16:16 faith and baptism!

How can you be saved? Being saved? Gonna be saved?

Better explanation:

Redemption, Justification, Sanctification, and Salvation!

Redemption: 100 percent the work of God, thru the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ! All mankind are redeemed in Christ!
Galatians 3:13
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law...

Justification: our acceptance of redemption thru faith and baptism! Become a disciple and member of Christ and His Church! Mk 16:16 He who believes and is baptized shall be saved.

Sanctification: the life of grace, prayer, virture, and good works, the just living by faith, and faith working thru love!
All done in Christ thru His grace! Jn 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Salvation: a christian in the state if grace at the moment of death we enter into the salvation of the Lord! Mt 24:44-47 faithful servant! Jn 15:1-5 abide in me. Mt 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Redemption, Justification, Sanctification, and Salvation!
It seems you've left out "reconciliation.

God has reconciled us to Himself, and urges us to be reconciled to Him, in other words, receive the reconciliation. How reconciled are we?

Much love!

Good verses! But, you may also want to include these?

Philippians 3:12-14
3:12. Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. 13. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Yes, but each tense refers to a different principle or aspect of salvation. They only harmonize when we conclude that faith must endure until death, or Christ's return. For, one cannot be both presently and irrevocably saved, while being still in the process of 'being saved' or waiting in order to be saved 'will be saved'.
'Have been saved', past tense, means that the gift has been offered, it refers to God's grace. On the other hand, working towards, or anticipating salvation, refers to man's part in being convicted of both the need of the gift, and the availability of the gift, ...and the requirements in order to receive it - steadfast faith.

That's a very Biblical and Catholic understanding of Salvation.

We continue to be saved as we cooperate with God's saving grace by enduring in faith (Matt. 24:13, 1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 2 Cor. 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb. 12:14).

Like I have said maybe 1,000 times, I adhere to no one denomination, congregation or theologian. I, coincidentally, have convictions from many faiths (all substantiated from the Bible, at least in my mind, first and foremost), which is why I highly denounce anyone who is so exclusive with implicit trust towards a specific denomination, like yourself .

What you've ALSO done here, maybe a "1000" time is LIE.

On this and other threads I've exposed you. On another thread, I had to set you straight about history SEVERAL times and even on the difference between the Catholic Church vs. "Roman" Catholic, which doesn't even exist.

I'm not Catholic, Roman Catholic, popish, Western, Byzantine nor vatican. You are possessed by the secular institution called the Roman Catholic Church, which holds its headquarters at St. Peters Basilica in Vatican City - the devil's domain. I hold to no man-made institution or dogma.

Well if I could proclaim my own salvation then I must be my own judge, and God has no power to judge us. But in all honesty, I believe only God can say if a person is saved.

But the threat against salvation is death and hell. And the only thing that can deliver us from death and hell is the resurrection and judgment of God. Both are given from God after you die.

So would you swear to God or man that you are saved, or even to the devil? Then this applies:

Matthew 5:34

But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne;

Look BOL, I know that you have a short attention span, but try and follow. I am just saying that no matter what you call it, which you addressed in your previous post, it is not authoritative nor even Christian.

Hi DNB,

All men come to dogma thru their interpretation of Scripture. You came to dogma via your interpretation of Scripture. Soooo you hold to YOUR man-made dogma.
