You missed my point which had nothing to any chronological order of essentials if there is such a thing. It was rather the refusal of many people to admit that they themselves might be in error.

I also without a doubt have errors and/or incompleteness in my understandings. The words of Jeremiah still apply to us and will, as I understand it, until and if we have completely overcome the world as Jesus did:

"O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jerem 10:23
I asked for an example. Give me an example of something. Everybody likes to talk in generalities but that gets us nowhere. People are in error. The Bible isn’t. If we want to gain a better understanding then we have to study it one passage at a time, and be willing to accept the truth.

Study on my friend, but your way is not the way I was traveling. Your tangent moves away from my leading. Sorry...

The salvation of the Jews in Acts 2 and Gentiles in Acts 10 did not involve faith only or a sinner's prayer. Both Jew and Gentile had a role in their own salvation (save yourselves - Acts of the Apostles 2:40) by being obedient to the command of God in submitting to water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, (Acts of the Apostles 2:38 cf Acts of the Apostles 10:47-48).

In Luke's account of the great commission, Luke wrote "and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name unto all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem." (Luke 24:47). All nations (Jew and Gentile) would be saved by "repentance and remission of sins" and this salvation would "begin from Jerusalem". This was fulfilled in Acts 2 when Peter was in Jerusalem and preached "repent and be baptized for remission of sins". This same message was preached to all nations, both Jews and Gentiles.

I couldn't have said that any better myself.

Keep up the good work.
God Bless!

That really seems to be the "norm".
All roads do not lead to Rome...

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

God Bless!
