I think I am going through one of those rough patches. Sigh. I started my own business which is great, yes? I love it! Of course, it is still new and a huge financial struggle! Started in March so that new.

Here's my issue. For some reason I am questioning if this business is God's will for my life? I have had some success and some un-success so far. Am I being an idiot because the circumstances aren't perfect and jumping to conclusions of throwing in the towel because I have started thinking maybe God doesn't approve?

Gah! How the heck did I get myself so mixed up!? And, yes, I do pray. All the time and not just about this. Sigh. I am just not hearing what God has to say.

Thoughts!?

Glory to God!!! So glad to see you..............

First of all........... Never write this, never say this again.......... NEVER.... You have what you say. Mark 11:23

I am just not hearing what God has to say.

That is a lie.......... The word is the truth. Now say five times what Jesus said.

I hear the good shepards voice, for I am his sheep, A strangers voice I will not follow. I am a child of God, so I am led by the Spirit of God.

Joh 10:4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
Joh 10:5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

Best way not to hear God, is to confess and believe you don't..........

Now that is out of the way.........................

You doubt if God really wants you to do this business?

Now ask yourself why you would think that. If it is because of failures in the business, that is not a indication that God does not want you to do this. He said he would bless the work of your hands.

Psa 128:2 For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Now hold up your hands, and say. The Lord told me that these hands are blessed, and it shall be well with me. I will eat the labour of my work.

You must have faith in what your doing. your business will fail, if you are not trusting God. Wondering if it is God's will or not is not trusting him. It might be best to put the business on hold, and get this settled.

Failure:

If anyone could have thought they missed God, it would have to be Paul. I mean right after the shipwreck, and Paul had to swim to shore, he could have said that's it, I must be missing God somewhere................. he was also stoned and locked up. Not to mention all the bad treatment. So, setbacks and failures do not determine the will of God.

Now if God called you to do this, it will not fail, but will start to take off, more and more. So, what I would do, is say.........

Lord A persons heart deviseth his way: but you LORD directeth his steps. I present this business to you, I have doubt your will concerning this business, but that was not faith. I know that what is not of faith is sin. Lord, I am putting this care upon you, and trusting you with this business. I will have faith in you that this business will work, and in that you will show me What I am to do. I will doubt nothing I do, and give you glory in this business. I will also lay aside a portion of this business profits and bless your kingdom with it. I thank you Lord for being a faithful and caring God, for you said you would make perfect those things that concern me.

Now, lay the care upon God, and do your best!!!!

Jesus Is Lord.

Nobody every built a business up easily.... it takes a lot hard work, blood, sweat, and tears. And it will likely be a while before you start turning a profit. My advice is kinda worldly.... give it your best and don't give up if you really want it. Other than that... Brother Mike's post above is some great advice.

fassopony,

Diddo what Brother Mike said -- great advice! ;)

I guess my question would be, "Did you believe that God wanted you to start the business in the first place?" If yes, than, you don't have to question it just because things aren't going smoothly. If you weren't sure, well, God knows your heart. If you are really wanting to know His will in this situation, He will show you, but you have to be consistent; don't just give up at the first sight of defeat. People who give up are the failures; those who keep at it become the winners. Something that helps to hear God's voice is to "practice" listening. So many times, we spent too much time talking that we don't hear God's voice. And many of those times, all we are "praying" are the negative things and getting ourselves all worked up about them -- that causes our minds to be so focused on the negative that we can't hear God. DON'T speak the defeat into existence; speak God's Word! It is through faith in God that we gain the victory. So, my advice to you is to keep praying, keep reading the Bible, and just ask God to give you wisdom. He said that if we ask for wisdom without doubting (James 1), we can have it. In addition to all the great confessions that Brother Mike brought up, that is a good one to confess, too! Hang in there, and I will pray for you.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. I think I just have had a slow weekend and it is getting to me...bills are due on the first you know

Brother Mike, thank you for the verse! Isn't it funny how you think you know something then end up blowing it off when you feel like the chips are down? I needed the kick in the butt and the Word.

I felt that it was what God wanted me to do so onward I go....LOL!!

  LOL Erica.... you may need to put that in your signature or something, because knowing that, I'm gonna feel guilty if I call you fassopony if I forget your real name... now that I know that means basically fat horse with a big face

Have a great Sunday! This is my favorite day of the week!

fasspony, I'm sure I can speak for all your brothers and sisters here at CB, you are on all our prayer lists. Place your business on God's Altar by faith , if you haven't already. Let His Will be done. Give your business to Him, as well as yourself. Proverbs 3:5,6; Lean not on your own understanding, but acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Remember He is the God of the Mountain as well as God of the Valley. God of the Good Times as well as God of the Bad times. Another words put Him in charge, He is anyway. Love You in Jesus Name.

Bravo is a descendant of the horses Genghis Khan used to conquer the known world. He is not exactly, umm, stealthy. More like a one horse cavalry including drums and horn? Maybe an Arabian would be better LOL!
