Does any of you may consider that the gift of Holy Spirit is a peace (Galatians 5:22-23), but why did the church also used the baptism of fire ?
Are those baptism of fire were also misused as a marketing tools of mass media these days ?
Regarding of this web article I've found that there is a misused of spirituality as a marketing tools of worldly product, and we can surely know that fire itself was the temptation of the guardian of the tree of life (Genesis 3:24; Job 4:12-18; Jude 1:22-23; Matthew 4:1-11; Matthew 3:10; James 3:5-6), that's why the fire must be called as part of God because he must be not blasphemed (Jude 1:9; Deuteronomy 4:24; Psalms 83:13-15) as what moslem called him as the father of handsome (cyclone) and mohammed was also tempted and ruled by him.
So, how would you say from this fact, does Holy Spirit represent water or fire ?
If we see these scriptures, we can surely give a correct answer that Holy Spirit is a water through Baptism (Mark 1:8-11; John 3:5), Creation (Genesis 1:2), Flood (Genesis 6:17), Abraham wells (Genesis 21:22-31), Isaac wells (Genesis 26:12-33), Jacob wells (Genesis 29:1-10), Ishmael wells (Genesis 16:13-15), Jesus gave the wells of life to Samaritan woman (John 4:1-42), Holy Spirit is a spring of life (Revelation 21:1-6; Revelation 22:16-17).
But God can make the fire as a tools to work through his gospel to spread and to teach the world what is exactly the works of redemption accomplished by Jesus in the past (Isaiah 64:1-12; Jeremiah 20:7-9).

Baptism by Fire, as the entire Bible seems to clearly indicate, would be all-inclusive to the Holy Work of Christ. More on that in a second.

When fire refines metals, what is left is pure and the "dross," or, rubbish - that which is worthless is burned out.

Isaiah 1:24-31 NIV - "Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: "Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes and avenge myself on my enemies. 25 I will turn my hand against you; I will thoroughly purge away your dross and remove all your impurities. 26 I will restore your leaders as in days of old, your rulers as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City." 27 Zion will be delivered with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness. 28 But rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those who forsake the LORD will perish. 29 "You will be ashamed because of the sacred oaks in which you have delighted; you will be disgraced because of the gardens that you have chosen. 30 You will be like an oak with fading leaves, like a garden without water. 31 The mighty man will become tinder and his work a spark; both will burn together, with no one to quench the fire."

When Jesus baptizes with Fire, it is He who removes all that is impure. And what is impure? Our hearts!

Jeremiah 4:4 KJV - "Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem: lest my fury come forth like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings."

Do you see it? But who is it that performs this Spiritual Circumcision? It is God.

Ezekiel 11:19 KJV - "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh . . ."

Ahhh . . . but Jesus is also God, isn't he? Yes, for Colossians 2:9-15 shows us that it is Jesus who Circumcises our hearts.

Colossians 2:11-15 NLT - "When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision--the cutting away of your sinful nature. 12 For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead. 13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross."

Therefore, when it is said that Jesus will baptize with Fire, removing the Sinful Nature, the Dross, is exactly what is meant. The result? A totally purified soul.

Luke 3:16 NLT - "John answered their questions by saying, "I baptize you with water; but someone is coming soon who is greater than I am--so much greater that I'm not even worthy to be his slave and untie the straps of his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire."

I may be wrong . . . but as I have found, this is the most reasonable explanation.

Spiritual Circumcision is the Core of the entire Bible . . . I hope this helps!

Jesus was crucified to help those people who commit deadly sins in the past such as idolatry and other violations against 10 commandments to bring up captivity going through the guardian of tree of life (Genesis 3:24; Ephesians 4:1-16). Because in the day of Moses whosoever violates the 10 commandments will be put to death as a victim onto a snake bite (Numbers 21:4-9) where snake bite here was the serpent of garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-24; 2 Kings 18:1-6), and actual serpent were those who practice black magic and whosoever shake hands with the Evil One. So, it was not God who bring out the fire of temptation to us but the serpent itself who asked it to God to tempt us just like Job (Job 2:1-10; James 1:12-13) because we were weak in flesh as Adam & Eve but our spirit are willing (Matthew 26:41) and that's why devil always uses our mind to deceive us (James 1:14-15). Our circumcision on the fire is our willing to keep stand before God and keep our faith in Jesus until end.

Ordinary Christian baptism in the name of the father the sin and the Holy Spirit includes the baptism of fire refering to the love of God! The tongues of fire at Pentecost are a type of the light of truth and the fire of divine love!

Ez 36:25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put withi n you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
