Isaiah 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

The Lord Jesus Christ will sit on the throne of David in the kingdom on earth.

Psalm 132:11 The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

This Psalm is saying that the fruit of David's body will sit on David's throne.

Acts 2:29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.

In the above verse Peter is speaking of David.

Acts 2:30 Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Peter is saying what Psalm 132:11 said as well, that the risen Christ would be the one to sit on the throne of David; it is Christ who is the fruit of David's loins.

David's throne was declared an everlasting throne.

It wasn't Solomon's throne that had this declaration...

And it wasn't Saul's throne either.

And not even Hezekiah's throne.

And it's also that something was established and repeated over and over again.

Moses was judgment
Joshua was blessing

Elijah was judgement
Elisha was blessing

John the Baptist was judgement
Jesus was blessing

David was judgement
Solomon was blessing.

And so when you look at this carefully you see that Jesus is blessing while sitting in the judgement throne. This doesn't negate the judgement throne because we have a "fellowship of suffering". So don't expect to get out of judgement.
But it's much much better to have Jesus there than anyone else.

Philippians 2:10 "That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"
Philippians 2:11 "And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Isaiah 45:21 "Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me."
Isaiah 45:22 "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."
Isaiah 45:23 "I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear."
Isaiah 45:24 "Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed."
Isaiah 45:25 "In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory."

Deuteronomy 6:4 clearly tells us... "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:"

Luke 20:41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David's son? [42] And David himself saith in the book of Psalms, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, [43] Till I make thine enemies thy footstool. [44] David therefore calleth him Lord, how is he then his son?

Mark 12:35 And Jesus answered and said, while he taught in the temple, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David? [36] For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool. [37] David therefore himself calleth him Lord; and whence is he then his son? And the common people heard him gladly.

Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. 15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, 16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: 17 that the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. 18 Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

These verses are speaking of the kingdom on earth upon the return of Christ....the remnant of Israel will reign in the kingdom and the Gentile nations will come to salvation (Isaiah 49:6)....the Gentiles being dealt with in Acts 15 are part of the remnant of Israel and will enter into the kingdom.

Deuteronomy 6:4 clearly tells us... "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:"
GINOLJC, to all,
this verse is 100% correct, but not understood correctly,

Deuteronomy 6:4 "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:"

God is ONE "LORD", but is not God, "Lord" also? YES, then why did David say Psalms 110:1 "A Psalm of David. The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool."

the answer comes from Deuteronomy 6:4 itself. God is the "ANOTHER" or the Diversity or the "OFFSPRING" of his OWN-SELF. the term "ONE" there express this concept, it's the Hebrew word, H259 אֶחָד 'echad (ech-awd') adj.
1. (properly) united, i.e. one.
2. (as an ordinal) first.

[a numeral from H258]
KJV: a, alike, alone, altogether, and, any(-thing), apiece, a certain, (dai-)ly, each (one), + eleven, every, few, first, + highway, a man, once, one, only, other, some, together.
Root(s): H258

definition #2. reveals David, Psalms 110:1, and confirms also Psalms 132:11 in the OT, and is witness by the apostle a in Romans 1:1-4 and Acts 2:30.
simply put, God is Christ "diversified" in flesh. meaning that he God, "Jesus", shared himself in flesh as the another of himslf, which G243 allos clearly define as ONE "PERSON".

so true, God will sit upon David throne.

Mainly just a Bible study.
Secondly, some have said that Acts 2:30 is saying Christ was raised only to sit on the throne in heaven...it is clear Psalm 132:11 and Acts 2:29-30 is speaking of Christ being raised from the dead to sit on "his throne", which is David's throne. Israel by this would have assurance that Christ would return to establish their promised kingdom on earth.

without finding the text there is something to the effect that heaven and earth will be one, or something of a similar meaning.

one must understand where heaven is, actually is. heaven that which God called Heaven is the firmament (space) between the clouds and the surface of the earth seas included. also one should understand what Paul refers to the second Adam:

Luk 3:38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

hence the pecking order from Heaven to earth is supposed to be through the man. though a Psalmist has said that God's throne is in heaven there is more scripture that says heaven is God's throne, and also earth is His footstool. when Jesus "ascended" at the Mt of Olives to be at the right hand of Power a cloud or clouds could have surrounded Him which would be clouds or smoke like, or like a stage act that uses clouds of smoke to make some one appear to disappear, rather than Jesus going clear up to 3 to 5 thousand feet in the air. though ascending is to rise one should also understand the word ascend is also to describe ascension in places of power and authority in scripture as in the description of roman authorities ascending to higher courts when Paul was claiming roman citizenship.

so Jesus simplify ascended in to His place in Heaven, which by the way touches the ground.

man's purpose under the sun is to execute God's Judgements in the earth, and God gave man His place in the earth to do so. therefore the indwelling of the Holy Spirit (God's Presence) in man is God's place in the earth. and since God is in Heaven:

Luk 17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Luk 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

man is where Heaven and earth are to be one, of which Jesus restored.

so back to the subject at hand, Jesus shows the apostles the body they will have, which is quite able in the context of creation seeing He appears and disappears at will. the throne of David is God's chosen place for authority in the earth to do His Judgements. of which the Son of God sits in the flesh in the earth and the Kingdom of Heaven within Him and all those that were called, chosen and faithful that have the Kingdom of God within them also seeing that the Heaven is where God is and the faith have the indwelling of the Presence of God because they received the Life that is of God through His Son.

What verse says he isnt ?
A negative does not prove a positive statement, nonetheless:
Luke 22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.
Sitting on the right hand of the power of God is not the throne of David.

So Christ is reigning from Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2-3) and over the house of Judah (Luke 1:33)?
