Miracles contradict human reasoning , understanding and science.

So Once again this makes my point even stronger.

No, it makes my point stronger.

did you study a specific field ?

was it a Christian college ?

did you have books you read and studied to get your degree ?

Why the sudden third degree?

yes, I went to both Biola and CCBC.

oh so you studied theology in School so you had to read books to pass your classes at Biola. So once again you ridiculed me for studying books yet you did the same thing. Double standards I see.

Reading books is fine and dandy, the Bible itself is a book.

But if you are getting your doctrine from human authors rather than the inspired teaching of the Holy Spirit (as you study the Bible in reliance on the Holy Spirit), beware lest you become flawed in your theology, having your doctrine colored by your reading of human authors.

Don't just take my word for anything that I might say to you. Be a Berean (Acts of the Apostles 17:10-11).

If the Bible contradicts what you have learned from human authors (and it does) then I would go with the Bible if I were you.

My doctrine comes from the bible alone as my source for truth. I can defend the Trinity and Deity of Christ from both Testaments. I can quote the scriptures from memory without looking them up.

hope this helps !!!

nothing I believe regarding the Trinity or Deity of Christ contradicts scripture but yours sure does since Jesus is not the Father like your learned from the heresy of Modalism.

My doctrine, also, comes from the Bible alone.

I defend the doctrine of the Trinity better than you.

How do you answer the contention of the Jehovah's Witnesses who say that 1 Corinthians 8:6 means that Jesus isn't God?

Jesus will be called by the name of "The everlasting Father" according to Isaiah 9:6...in order to deny this you have to change the wording of the kjv, not once, but twice. And that is utilizing eisegetical practices in your interpretation of the word of the Lord.

You still have not resolved your contradiction that the Son is not the Father. So until then I will not entertain you other questions.

You are not even in line with Biola University where you went jbf.

There is one God, eternally existing and manifesting Himself to us in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Our Lord Jesus was supernaturally conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin - Mary, a lineal descendant of David. He lived and taught and wrought mighty works and wonders and signs exactly as is recorded in the four Gospels. He was put to death by crucifixion under Pontius Pilate. God raised from the dead the body that had been nailed to the cross. The Lord Jesus after His crucifixion showed Himself to be alive to His disciples, appearing unto them by the space of 40 days. After this, the Lord Jesus ascended into heaven, and the Father caused Him to sit at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come, and put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him to be Head over all things to the Church.

The Lord Jesus, before His incarnation, existed in the form of God and of His own choice laid aside His divine glory and took upon Himself the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men. In His pre-existent state, He was with God and was God. He is a divine person possessed of all the attributes of Deity, and should be worshiped as God by angels and man. "In Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." All the words that He spoke during His earthly life were the words of God. There is absolutely no error of any kind in them, and by the words of Jesus Christ the words of all other teachers must be tested.

The Lord Jesus became in every respect a real man, possessed of all the essential characteristics of human nature.

Because you don't have an answer for them.

The Father is not the Son. He is a Spirit inhabiting eternity (Isaiah 57:15). He is not come in human flesh in that form as the pre-incarnate Christ.

The Son is the Father in that He is the same Spirit as the Father in His internal essence, if He be God (see John 4:24, Ephesians 4:4).

He is distinct from the Father in that He is come in human flesh.

Don't get on my case if you are a Tritheist because I am dealing with the heresy of Tritheism here.

No you are espousing Sabellianism/Modalism. A big Difference.

I disagree with none of this.

The Lord Jesus, before His incarnation, existed in the form of God

It appears that you don't believe this; but rather that He existed in the form of 1/3 of God.

In His pre-existent state, He was with God and was God.

yes, before He was incarnated He was the Father and existed side-by-side with the Holy Ghost whom He would release back into eternity next to the Father in Luke 23:46. The Holy Ghost is in fact God, you know.

"In Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."

But apparently in your theology 1/3 of the Godhead dwelleth in Him bodily.

strawman arguments.................

and until you fix your modalism ideas there is no point discussing anything else about God with you.

I would suggest that you read Hebrews 3:7-8, Hebrews 3:15, and Hebrews 4:7.

But it is fine with me that you will not discuss anything else with me...it means that I will have less opposition when it comes to what I am preaching elsewhere...

To the OP I 100% agree. I find all of scripture both hinges this and falls apart when this is denied.
Agreed sound doctrine begins with an understanding of Who God is, His nature, attributes and character.

For example the bible says that God is Love. This is the inherent attribute, character and nature of who God is as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. If God were only a solitary Person then love would be an impossibility for Love by definition needs another Person in which to share, know and experience that love. God as being the Father, Son and Holy Spirit have perfect love within the Godhead. So a unitarian god cannot be love and only a God who is Multi- Personal or Tri-Personal can be love.

There are numerous other examples which point to our Glorious Plural God where we derive sound doctrine from because of Who God is and Triune.

hope this helps !!!

Thi

This website acknowledge all whom claim Christ as Christians.
It might now but I've been posting here quite a while and there was once a doctrinal statement that defined Christian and consequently excluded some of the cults such as the Jehovah's Witnesses and the Church of latter day saints.
