The NWT lied? Oh my!

NWT John 20 Thomas said to Jesus, "My Lord and my God"

Says who? Kingdom hall?

Nope, He always told the Truth! Why do you have a problem with what Jesus said?

I believe you are the one with a problem with what Jesus said at John 20:17 where he(Jesus)said he has a Father and God. What Thomas said at John 20:28 doesn't make Jesus a liar. Jesus still has a Father and God when Thomas says, " my Lord and my God."

Luke 23:43 (NKJV)
43 And Jesus said to him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise."

Didn't you say Jesus "ceased to exist" for three days?

I said that death is the opposite of life. Life or being alive means you exist. Adam didn't exist before God created him. So when Adam died or experienced death he ceased to exist. All those who have died and deserves a resurrection whether they are righteous or unrighteous God simply remembers them when time of the resurrection begins.

I never said it made Jesus a liar. You continually make stuff up, just like Kingdom Hall!

You really need to forget everything Kingdom Hall washed your brain with.
Adam didn't exist before God created him.
No kidding???

You're making that up!

I told you and again you ignore it. Read post #320 where I commented on John 2:19-21 a scripture that you say I ignored. I did answer it you may not agree with my comment concerning John 2:19-21 but I did comment on it. Even though you say I avoided it.
Quote my "lie" or be the liar that you called me.

You are the one who keeps trying to prove by what Thomas says at John 20:28 that Jesus is God, even though Jesus says at John 20:17 that he(Jesus) has a Father and God. That's why you focus on that scripture like you do. If I'm wrong about that, are you saying now, that Jesus isn't God but instead he's the Only Begotten Son of God as Jesus says he is, and that it's Jesus Father who is the God of creation who also is Jesus God.

So God creates them again? Oh my!!!

Adam did not go to heaven or pass on to some spirit realm. He had no existence before Jehovah created him from the dust of the ground. So when he died, he became as lifeless as the dust from which he was created. He ceased to exist.
A comment made by French Protestant Professor Oscar Cullmann. He writes in his book Immortality of the Soul or Resurrection of the Dead?: “There is a radical difference between the Christian expectation of the resurrection of the dead and the Greek belief in the immortality of the soul. I see no reason to hide what I and the majority of scholars consider to be the truth. . . . The life and thought of the New Testament are entirely dominated by faith in the resurrection. . . . The whole man, who is really dead, is brought back to life by a new creative act of God.”

Of course I do. Your own NWT says Jesus is God and Hell fire is "forever and ever".

Well since Kingdom Hall twists nearly everything in the Bible it's no wonder you twist nearly everything I say.

Says Kingdom Hall?
He had no existence before Jehovah created him from the dust of the ground. So when he died, he became as lifeless as the dust from which he was created. He ceased to exist.
Kingdom Hall told you that to lead you to eternal fire. Even your NWT says, "Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

You believe him over the Christian Bible?

I'm not twisting anything I believe you just don't want to believe Jesus when he says he has a Father and God at John 20:17, you would rather believe that Thomas was believing that Jesus was God, but what Thomas said at John 20:28 doesn't make what Jesus said at John 20:17 not true. So if someone believes what Thomas said at John 20:28 means Jesus is God, then what does it mean when Jesus says at John 20:17 when he says he has a Father and God. Is it a lie?

No Barney, I'm not Jehovah's Witness.
I don't care if you're not a JW you still want me to believe you over the Christian Bible. The scriptures testify that this conversation between Jesus and Mary Magdalene on Nisan 16, 33 C.E., shows that the resurrected Jesus viewed the Father as his God, just as the Father was God to Mary Magdalene. Two days earlier, when on the torture stake, Jesus had cried out: “My God, my God,” fulfilling the prophecy found at Psalms 22:1 and acknowledging his Father as his God. (Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34; Luke 23:46) In the book of Revelation, Jesus also speaks of his Father as “my God.” (Revelation 3:2,12) These passages confirm that the resurrected, glorified Jesus Christ worships the heavenly Father as his God, just as Jesus’ disciples do.

All you give are your Kingdom Hall doctrines. You don't care if someone is JW like you? Yeah right Barney.

You don't even read my posts. I already agreed that Jesus called the Father His God. So what???

Do you read posts before you reply? Ever?

You are the one who keeps saying Jesus is God, not me. I read your posts, and I have been consistently trying to tell you that even though Thomas said to Jesus, "My Lord and My God" doesn't mean that Thomas ignored what Jesus had said before when Jesus said he has a Father and God. So even though Thomas said, "My Lord and My God " to Jesus Thomas didn't believe Jesus to be the God of creation because Thomas knew the person Jesus called his Father and God was and is the creator of all things.

So your argument is that the Bible doesn't mean what it says. No surprise whatsoever.

Everything written down in John gospel from John 1:1 and including what Thomas said at John 20:28 were written down that we may believe Jesus is the Christ the Son of God not God. John 20:31.
