That our present Federal government has constantly and consistantly ursurped, or taken upon itself powers not delegated by the Constitution, is a fact not debated by most reasonable men these days. There has been a heavy sense upon most of us that our country is no longer our own. If it is not ours, then who owns it?

This topic begins with the assertion that the leaders of our country are taking at least some of their guidance from Mr. Alinsky - an admirer of ideals which are in opposition to the teachings of Christ, American national interest, and simple common sense. The path we are now treading is full of traps and holes, not least of which are those created by the banking industry. We also see that America is not the only country suffering from financial woes.

Are these international difficulties the result of greed, neglect and debauchery or are they an organized attempt by a cartel of international bankers to seize control of global assets? If so, who would be elected the CFO/CEO of such an organization? Such a man would have the global power of the richest nations on the planet at his disposal.

I don't know if you watch Glen Beck on Fox News, but he has been explaining what is going on. Those in office who claim to be members of the "progressive party" are those who believe in socialism, marxism. Unfortunately also many of our college professorsalso members of the same party. Also though this present Administration would deny it they fall under the same party. Also the mainstream media. Want to take away the leadership that the United States has enjoyed for years. They hate that the US has been looked up to by other countries. Their task is to make the US dependant on all the World Bodies. Have you ever seen a leader apologize for the strength of the US before this bunch came into office. As long as they are in office say good bye to many of the freedoms we have enjoyed since our founding. This November 2 election will be our only chance to turn things around. Christians must make sure they know their candidates, pray for them, go to the rallies , ask questions, etc. Any that do not have Biblical Principles keep them in the unemployment line. Go Green and recycle government.

That's an understatement if ever I read one. A BIT over the top ??????

I was shocked to hear him talking about matters I've been researching privately for quite some time. He said nothing I didn't already know about, but his interpretations and predictions are unsettling to say the least.

According to my own information, our republic as we know it has between five and ten years remaining.

Beck's predictions fall just short of that mark. I've only watched two shows, but he painted a pretty bleak picture. However, it was curious to note that he stopped just short of predicting the total collapse of the United States. He walks right up to the line and then stops. Additionally, Beck does not suggest what sort of national condition will be evident AFTER this general collapse except to warn of loss of liberty (that'a pretty generic statement since most prophets of doom say the same thing).

IMO we will see one or more of the following or perhaps a combination of the following;
1. Secession of many states resulting in a dozen or so independent countries and a smaller Federal union.
2. Secession of states following by a minor reinstatement such as a commonwealth of states.
3. Rioting and violent demonstrations followed by martial law; severe restrictions on personal liberty (most predictions take this line).

Beck asks his viewers to pray for the nation. I have a hard time with that. It is my belief that we have already gone over the cliff and are now experiencing the weightless sensation of free fall. The ground is coming up fast.

I have received only two revelations from God regarding the current status of our country and what we may expect.
When I pray in fright - the Lord has answered me with the following:

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. Luk 21:28

With regard to the political situation, the Lord said to me; "It's not about your country."
I can only guess what that means except to qualify it by what I know of His intent in the matters of man. That is to go back to square one and remind myself that ALL prophecy is centered upon Israel. If that is the central point, then what is happening to the USA has a direct or indirect effect upon the Holy Land.

Despite Mr. Beck's admonition to pray for our country, I find that I am having a hard time. I pray that the Lord would help all those who are called by His name. That's about it. I think we as a nation are so far gone that there is little of redeeming value left to pray for. If God were to intervene, there would HAVE TO be a massive revival from sea to shining sea. That revival would have to be something greater and more powerful than anything yet seen in history, American or otherwise. While I do not doubt God's ability to create such an atmosphere I have serious doubts as to the possibility. The last such national revival was in the late 1960's and early 1970's. I was saved in those years and remember that it created divisiveness among the established denominations. The priests and ministers actually rejected the work of the Holy Spirit in the midst of revival.....and it was nation wide. I remember hearing stories from people of many different denominations. I remember sitting in on committee meetings that tried to 'deal' with the Holy Spirit.

I have great respect and admiration for the Holy Spirit, but wonder if such a wave of national revival will ever happen again on our shores. Such a thing MUST happen before any political, military and financial reversal of fortune. Will it happen? I wish it would. I really do, but I have grave doubts.

Mr. Beck is predicting a great stock market crash in October. That may make for an interesting election the following month.
