Sometimes, it is not so much just the dream, or just the vision. Sometimes looking behind the dream is needed as well. And yes, He has heard you and stands with open arms(like the prodical son) to welcome you home. The dream is about timing for this, as things are about to get rough for mankind. And then The King of Kings and Lord of Lords shall return at an hour they least expect. It is not His will that any should perish.

I took it personally as for me to get back to my spiritual path.

I've been having them since I was a newish christian but not so much lately. If I don't fully understand straight away I ask him to show me. And I know they are God dreams and I can always remember them exactly when I wake.
I had a vision of the Second Coming as a fairly new Christian that didn't fit with any of the pre-trib messages I had been taught. I didn't understand it until I studied scripture like this:

2 Peter 3 (KJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. ¹¹ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, ¹² Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? ¹³ Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

1 Thessalonians 5 (KJV) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹ But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. ² For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. ³ For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. ⁴ But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. ⁵ Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. ⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. ⁸ But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. ⁹ For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁰ Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. ¹¹ Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

What I saw in vision completely lines up with those verses...watching for His coming, and the atmosphere appeared to be on fire (although we who were ready and watching for Him felt no heat). The whole vision was so glorious and powerful, my unsaved cousin tried to shake me out of it and couldn't. When I came out of the vision, I felt such unspeakable joy and thought it was literally happening or about to happen. My cousin said my whole body was shaking. You know, this body cannot contain the power and joy of His glorious coming. In my vision, I saw myself and others who were looking (up) in a field or pasture. We saw the skies as if they were on fire....it all rolled back and the most beautiful glorious light, the Lord appeared ...and our arms went up as we worshiped Him, "It's Him! It's Jesus!" As our arms and praises went up, we were drawn up (quickened by Holy Spirit), and garments were changed.....then I came out of the vision and ....wow!!! Words can't describe it....!

Thank you :)
I’ve had some weird dreams myself, a while back had a dream I was placing dead men on an alter of a church, felt a strong sense of urgency as if I couldn’t get them placed quick enough.

I believe our subconscious mind is always at work while sleeping trying to work things out.

do you guys have a lot of tornadoes in your area?

I'm not sure what that has to do with the post you quoted. ? ?

Just sharing an experience with my sister and family here. I am sorry if I offended you. (But I do not regret sharing it.)

I've had many 'God dreams' and like you I always know without a doubt that they are Spirit inspired and I always understand them.
When I have a dream about someone I know, it is a signal for me to pray for them that God will meet whatever need they have. Another dream I had was when I was in a car going over a cliff. In that dream I had no fear of going over the edge into whatever was awaiting me. Right at the point of going over the cliff, I woke up. Since that time, I have had absolutely no fear of death. In the middle of the night once, I woke up with a Scripture reference going over and over in my mind. I turned on my light, got my Bible and looked it up. It was one of the most amazing promises that I needed to know at that time.

So, I am not against dreams as such, but I don't go along with people with a "ministry" of interpreting dreams. That is not found in the New Testament, but features in Sigmund Freud's book "Interpretation of Dreams" which is the foundation of New Age occult practice.

LoL. Farouk never misses an opportunity to discuss it though, does he. :)

Good perspective. :) And despite his better qualities, Paul Christensen is one of the ones you'll need some armor for. Though politely, he won't hesitate to inform you that instead of being from God your dreams are suspect, and if you're not careful you may be riding around on a broom soon, LoL.

God bless, and that's why I gave you the heads up. ;)
Hahaha! That is so very funny! :D I knew you'd pop up here before long.

I'm not against dreams as such, as I posted just before. I have all sorts of dreams, most of which I say to the Lord, "That was a crazy one, which I'm, not even going to try to interpret". I think I described some of my other dreams on CF.
Some recurring dreams have been:
As a teacher trying to find the classroom where I am supposed to be teaching.
Knowing that I am going to be late for work.
Trying to stop my car with failing brakes.
Driving backwards at speed worrying that I might hit something.
Trying to get through narrow doorways.
Being trapped in some way and yelling for help (woke up groaning).
Meeting my deceased father and saying the things I always wanted to tell him.

I guess that there are New Age sites which would provide the appropriate symbolism to show a possible interpretation to these dreams, but I just don't go there.

Also, I have a problem when people start to depend on dreams and visions as their principal method of guidance, and instead of letting their fingers do the walking through Scripture, ask God for a dream or vision instead.

In my first year of teaching (1987), my supervising teacher was a bully. She didn't want a male typing teacher in her department so she did what she could to scupper my teaching career before it even started. I could quite clearly imagine her riding a broom! :p
