Isaiah 48:11 AB version; For My own sake, for My own sake, I do it [I refrain and do not utterly destroy you]; for why should I permit My Name to be polluted and profaned [which it would be if the Lord completely destroyed His choosen people]? And I will not give My glory to another [by permittimg the worshipers of idols to triumph over you].
I wonder many times if we christians understand the full reason for our salvation and service to Him. Many of us strive daily to be like Jesus, to truly follow in His example during His ministry here on Earth, but it feels most of the time like a fruitless effort on our part. Couple of days ago I placed a shout from I Corinthians 10:31; " Therefore whether you eat, drink, or whatever you dp, do all to the glory of God.". How many times in our daily struggles to be like Jesus and falling or stumbling , have we failed to ask ourselves; "What I'm about to do or have done , was it to glorify the Lord?" How many pitfalls might we miss if we did ask ourselves that question? On my part I must admit many, many times. Maybe at home do we treat our spouses and children, or parents with the sole purpose of giving glory to Jesus? How about on the Job? Church? or right here at CB, when we respond to a thread, do we check to see what we are saying give glory to God or are we bowing to our own idols, our own character instead of the character of Jesus who we follow. We need to get a full picture of how much glory to God is important to Him in our daily walk regardless of what we think, or do. It is time to rededicate our lives in Jesus Name to His Glory, I believe we would pretty much conquer or falls, shortcommings, stumblings. Amen? Love You All in Jesus Name.

P.S. I needed this as much as maybe we all do. News Flash: Pastor Les hasn't made it yet! lol
