is that how it works? you have to ask? thats kinda weird to send someone out but not allow them to invite, why bother?
They're totally allowed to invite.
And you're totally allowed to invite yourself.
Or just show up for service. A google search will find nearby meeting places easy.

*Caveat here: I'm talking normal time, I have no idea what your local covid situation is like and how that influences things.

The following are two very different things:
-Actual beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
-The fiction you hear from "anti-cult" sources.

I acknowledge your right to believe what you believe. But I am also human and get very tired of repeated judgements levied at me or anyone else based on bad information.

As usual, you’re not addressing any specifics about LDS doctrine. Sigh

But rather than derailing this JW thread, I’ll just ask a few rhetorical questions about Mormon temples. Why have temples? Why use occult symbols, such as inverted pentagrams, on the temples instead of crosses? Why keep the temple rituals hidden from most LDS members?

Here’s an explanation about the inverted pentagram from The Secret Teachings of All Ages by Manly P. Hall.

In symbolism, an inverted figure always signifies a perverted power…The star with two points upward is also called the “Goat of Mendes,” because the inverted star is the same shape as a goat’s head. When the upright star turns and the upper point falls to the bottom, it signifies the fall of the Morning Star.

Sound to me like you are the "Mia" in your example, and there was an Ella in your life that has done this to you??? Perhaps you are the one in need of this tough love and you are still hurt by this lost relationship???

When you find the one true God of the Bible; then, by all means, please pray for me! But don’t bother praying to your false Mormon gods on my behalf.

Sounds to me like I am right.

I have literally addressed these questions from you before. Why dance this same dance again?

You've explained why LDS temples have inverted pentagrams on them??
Yes.

The purpose of temples is to have a dedicated worship space away from the day-to-day chaos of life.
The purpose of rituals is outward displaying of one's inward devotion to God.
The purpose of decorations it to be pretty and remind one of God. They don't play any active role in anything.
Some temples have decorations of sun, moon, and stars symbolic of the different degrees of glory through Christ's atonement. This is an LDS-Christian specific theological idea, the nearest found in Protestantism being the different size of crowns bestowed on a believer's head in heaven. Here's a link if you want: Kingdoms of Glory

Some of these stars are stylized as 5 points and pointing downward, particularly on 1800's construction as that was the fashion back then.

That's the actual beliefs & practice.

If "Bob" wants to say "anything that happens around a 5 pointed-star-pointed downward is automatically occult worship!".... well, Bob has the right to believe whatever he wants, regardless of it's accuracy. But I think honestly Bob is also very silly, and should pay less attention to building decorations and instead take into account the big picture, what are people actually doing, people's hearts, purpose, etc.

LOL! Do you REALLY believe this??? IF you do, then you need to learn about your religion. You've been duped.

Symbols have meaning; there are various occult symbols used by LDS. Manly P. Hall was as expert on the occult, and his quote above explains what the inverted pentagram means. Ask any witch or satanist what this symbol actually means. They know.

Sorry, Jane, but you remain ignorant to your detriment.

Responding to this now that I've found some quasi-polite phrasing:

I spent the time to type up an explanation of beliefs and practices, in response to your questions. Rather than respond to my statements, you ignored them with this post that essentially boils down to "I believe Manly P. Hall knows best and I'm going to take his words and inform Jane that she is duped and I know better".

No.

Just no.

Your response shows:
1) Complete disregard to me as a person and my time. Rather than respond, you blatantly ignored it.
2) Heavy egotsim.
3) Personal attacks on me.
4) You instead just following the words of a human leader and judging everything off of that. You didn't listen, you don't know hearts or beliefs. Literally going off of what somebody else tell you about the cover of some buildings.

@Prayer Warrior , I acknowledge that you can think whatever you want. But what you're doing here is only attacking other. It's not loving, it's not truth seeking. It brings no one to Christ. I do forgive your words and treatment, and pray that you ever grow closer to Christ.

When you find the one true God of the Bible;
Now thats a problem very religion seems to have a different one, difernt way and different Jesus.

Mat 22:32 I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

God is not of the bible He is the God of men. all those whom believe in Him and His son.

Act 7:46 Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.
Act 7:47 But Solomon built him an house.
Act 7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,
Act 7:49 Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
Act 7:50 Hath not my hand made all these things?

Temples are no more than a man made thing, sure you stated that

Joh_4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

nothing to do with religion temples ,just relationship with Him and His son.

My dear Jane, you are very deceived if you believe the basic LDS doctrines. Whatever you think about my motives, the truth is that LDS doctrine is based on a pack of lies. I would hope that you and all Mormons will see the truth about the unbiblical occult elements in your religion.

Your forgiveness sounds very magnanimous, but I don’t need forgiveness for speaking the truth. If you are offended by the truth, that’s between you and God.

It rings extremely hollow when you say you care about anyone, and then and then ignore them/what they say/what they believe. And instead only talk only talk down to them.

I know that you mean well in your head, but to have your words/actions mean anything you need to really talk with that person with love (not talking at a stereotype). Anything done lacking charity can be nothing more than a clanging cymbal.

Well, there ya go again—judging my motives and my heart. You need to take your own counsel, my friend.

I acknowledged that you mean well.
But your methods ring hollow (again, claiming to care about a person and then completely ignoring them and them taking the time to explain their beliefs, and instead continually talking down to them).

I also acknowledge that you are a Christian and love Christ (such is to be celebrated!) and have done so many times.
