why do athiests keep demanding "evidence" of god's existence or biblical beliefs from christians when THERE IS NONE?

why do christions keep trying to present "evidence" of god's existence or of biblical beliefs to athiests when THERE IS NONE

the only evidence that could prove or disprove either would have to be conceived by one of the five senses, touch, taste, smell, hearing or sight. IT DOESNT EXIST

FAITH, an intangible force, derived through a sixth sense from ones mind and heart is all that there is that devides the two.

either you have it or you dont. GIVE IT A REST

It seems to me that those who don't believe in God's excistance spend a lot of time .energy and money for that which doesn't exisist. Why not use that enegy to come against the trash coming out of Hollywood, the main stream media, and yes many of our courts. It seems those who do not want the Lord's Name or Gospel out there they never complain when His Name is used in vain, only when it is used in reverance. To me there is something missin in this picture. Please pardon spell mistakes. Jesus Christ is alive and well, I know there will be no non_believers in the firy pit. They will all believe, but then it is too late. I pray that you don't make that mistake. Jesus Loves you and so do all of us here at CB in Jesus Name.

I agree about the requirement of Faith, but not the rest.

There is plenty enough historical evidence written in God's Word to show its accuracy in prophecy. There also exists a multitude of science in God's Word that man's secular science only came to know in later centuries (doctors washing their hands under running water vs. in a bowl of tainted water from a previous patient. In God's law, the priests were to use running water for cleansing).

Rom 1:20
20 For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
(KJV)

Heb 11:3
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
(KJV)

Only in the last century has secular science begun to realize there exists a vail behind the existence of material matter. It's simply that they are so attached to the idea of this material existence they have to call it something like "anti-matter".

One of the primary natural laws of physics is that matter cannot be created nor destroyed, but only change its state.

There's been plenty enough evidence to believe an Intelligent Creator exists. The problem is how some folks want to do whatever they want, and feel good about it.

Yes, angry demanding atheists - please, give it a rest.
Christians - stop trying, even - it's in God's hands - show them patience and love and change the subject, I say!
(And it impresses them when we don't care either way if they believe or not - we just keep smilin'.
They think we want to change them..not my job. The detachment and carefree air - wigs 'em out.)

Faith is the most powerful force in the Universe. Faith created all this - Let there be Light - the Lord had faith behind His Words!!!

However, faith is not why I believe in God - too many Divine Visitations, too many things shown to me, has nothing to do with any faith -
He's so real - no faith needed ---for me.

I figure maybe one day -God will knock their socks off also - one day- in His wonderful way.

I just keep on smilin' and changing the subject and being happy --- drives 'em nuts.

Gregg,
Aw, thanks - didn't know my personality could shine thru in a post.
But, I must admit - atheists just love to debate and challenge us, don't they -not all of them, naturally.
Just the insecure ones that think everyone has to think like them - just like a teenager. Boring.
Oops... that may actually apply to Christians, too. Sorry just realized that.

This barraging and shoving our ideas down others throats is such a big turn off.
I don't care if I'm trying to convince you Honda is better than an an America car.
It's obnoxious. I think a mere mention or shared information one time -is plenty...when they
take their Chevy to the mechanics the 10th x - you betcha they will remember your few chosen words and will
remember your happiness when talking about your Honda...

It's a peaceful air, wisdom and confidence that attracts, imo.

I was raised by parents who, as a result of two extreme tragedies, insisted that 'God' should never be mentioned in our home.
Yet I can remember being so certain of the existence of God that I carried a miniture New Testament in at all times and superstitiously relied on its presence in my shirt pocket to help me through my school placement exams at the age of 10.
Since the age of 6 I had been packed off to the chapel Sunday School opposite our home solely to give my parents a Sunday afternoon respite and I distinctly remember sincerely praying the 'sinners prayer' as led by the Pastor.
I believe that my parents' dedication to denying the existence of God cause me to sub consciously conclude that you didn't put that much emphasis to disprove something unless it really did exist.

Also, whilst I too cringe at the exhuberance of high street sandwich board evangelists, I believe that a similar reverse physcology had effect in Britain recently.
A body of Atheists had funded a national advertising campaign with placards large along the side of omnibuses saying "Don't worry....God does not exist"
I heard many people ask "why spend vast sums trying to persuade people that someone who doesn't exist, doesn't exist?"
On many occasions whilst waiting at bus stops, people waiting with me made that comment as successive buses passed by, and that gave me frequent opportunity to witness of my own conviction.
Self defeating I would say.

It is very hard for non believers to beleiev for their is no real evidence. If I was to go to a psychiatrist and tell Him i obeyed voices in my head, and had dreams and visions , iwould be locked up for being mad, mind you most christians would consider me a fool. But such is the life for those who follow Jesus. Going to church, preaching the bible, driving around is no evidence of God, doing good deed is no evidence of God, there are plenty of non believerss running around doing good works and not knowin God, Just as there are plenty of christoians running around saying they believe in Christ but not Knowing Him. Yes the world is a mess, for its all about us leeting God do His work through us, so that others can see Christ in us, not us running around trying to imitate Christ. we got it all wrong, but soon Gods people will be raised up, then the evidence will be there.

its all about us letting God do His work through us, so that others can see Christ in us,

Be my first thought every morning and my last thought every day, and in between this vessel fill, to think and act ‘Thy Way’
Then when to sleep my soul returns, may the dreams upon my bed, reflect the wakened moments, till my circle of life is led
At every point Christ’s love to show, in all I say and do, that the world may know that I am His, and learn to love Him too.

The evidence is thru our actions as christians as we live according to the word , but what we show the world ,is destroyed by the devil when the church and clergy gets involved in filthy practices , people don't trust people ,so what we say is ignored and argued against , so this is to say that all non believers have nothing to hold onto or hope ,,except their on knowledge and science , poor people !!!

God Bless GT

I'd just like to remind everyone that evidence plays an important part in our faith.
The evidence was the risen Jesus, the evidence that death, the grave had no power to hold Him.
Without this evidence, the testimony of the witnesses, our belief would be no different than Buddha, Confucius or any other philosopher that still lies dead in the grave.
He confirmed the covenant , as Paul says.

I'm not going to pull verses and start a study but I have always found it interesting that Roman historians don't make any great effort to deny Jesus rose from the grave.

An interesting and pleasurable post to read. I am sure if we compiled our reasons for believing, the stories would be astonishing!

In Christ,
