There is no contradiction, if the Lord wanted you to be a sheep, you would not be typing here. Again the Lord follows me wherever I go.

Well, after reading your posts on here it appears to me that you're the looniest poster on these boards. To the point where we don't even need to give scripture to refute you, we can simply sit and watch as you say one loony thing after another.

Overheard prayer:
"Oh lord please use me in an advisory capacity so I can tell you what needs to be done"

I don't know how to get there from here...there certainly aren't any connecting roads.

Maybe with some ninjas and a helicopter...that's the ticket.

Joshua 1:9:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Interpretation, the Lord does not command that you follow him, because he is content to follow you wherever you go and be your strength in a weary world
God is not content to follow you; that is his promise to those who obey him. Look at any passage in the Bible where you see this promise, and you will see that it is always dependent on our obedience to him. Or if you want, when we obey him, he is there to strengthen us and guide us. When we disobey him, he is there to receive us back if we repent, and to strengthen us and put us back on track.

So do you want everyone to be exactly like you? Did I tell you about the day God told me to buy Apple and Google stock shares?

What did he tell you?

What does God look like, being that you are telling people that you follow him everywhere.

Again God follows me and is my strength along the way.

However if you are a sheep who can not choose your own path you are also condemned to follow until you die. Not much of a life or until satan closes your church as he has already done

Hello @Alvertsky,

With respect, Joshua 1:1-9, is spoken to Joshua and to the children of Israel that he was being instructed to lead into the promised land. Lovely as these words are, we cannot apply them to ourselves.

Thank you

LOL so what you just said is that you pick and choose whichever bible passages suit your needs at the moment.

God does not recognize Jews, Christians or any other denomination, he created all of us, did Jesus feed everyone or just the few who read the right things.

Hello @Alvertsky,

No, I do not 'pick-and-choose' as you say, but I do take note of who is being spoken to, by whom and with what intent, for though all Scripture is 'for' us, not all is 'about' us.

Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris

The Lord is with me wherever I go, if you need to follow like a scared sheep he will lead you. However if during your life you ever come across a lost sheep will you keep following or rescue the sheep? To do the rescue you become the Shepherd himself and when you go on your own he is still with you.

God does not see your country labels, all are Gods children

Hello @Alvertsky,

Yes, it is wonderful to know that the Lord is indeed with those who have placed their trust on the Lord Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord.

Thank you

Must all your questions be answered? You will die holding many unanswered questions, all do.

Just answer the freaking question as you're the one who brought it up, it's your thread, and therefore you should be able to answer it!!

Joshua 1:9:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

“be strong and courageous” reminds me of 2 Corinthians 7:16 Lexicon: I rejoice that in everything I have confidence in you.
“I have confidence in you” 2292 “I rejoice” to be of good courage, good cheer, am bold

Be strong and courageous:

Psalm 27:13-14 I had fainted (2 Corinthians 4:16) (Galatians 6:9), unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. [14] Wait on the Lord : be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
Romans 12:7 Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;

Interpretation, the Lord does not command that you follow him, because he is content to follow you wherever you go and be your strength in a weary world

the Lord does not command that you follow him,
Really? John 3:6-8 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

John 13:36-38 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? (Lord, Where are you going) Jesus answered him, Where I go, you can not follow me now; but you shall follow me afterwards. [37] Peter said unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I WILL lay down my life for thy sake. [38] Jesus answered him, WILL you lay down your life for my sake? (Peter?) Verily, verily, I say unto thee, The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

Did Peter have the power yet to “follow Him” or to lay down his life? You said “ the Lord does not command that you follow him, because he is content to follow you wherever you go and be your strength in a weary world.

Maybe I’ve misunderstood but are you suggesting He never said one must be born again, never said one must be converted (and return, turn again) and follow “walk after the Spirit” and not after the flesh? Luke 22:31-34 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: [32] But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. [33] And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, (follow) both into prison(Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you), and to death. [34] And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

is “and when you are converted” needful for “strengthen your brothers”?
