Be aware of false doctrine Garry, even the Devil himself can make a "bible". (In order to get his "bible" successful...he needs some truth in it) If you look closely, there are at least 7 Bible Verses that are completely removed from the NIV, NLT...that is good enough for me to stay away from a part truth and part lie bible...so I literally hate it when God's Words are remove...and changed...It diguest me with a passion. But hey, everyone got to make a choice...I'm only going to say this once. So I won't argue against Satan at all...

tsj,You're right, "the Devil himself can make a bible", I can think of two, the Joseph Smith Translation, The JW version. Those two are examples of Satan's work. How many Bible Book stores sell them, how many people outside their churches even know of them? What 7 verses are completely removed from the NIV?

No tsj, these verses were not removed from the later translations. Refer to my previous post, the newer translations (NIV & NASV) were from older manuscripts, therefore KJV translators either expanded on some areas, (remember the average citizen of 1611 was pretty undereducated) or I would like to believe the manuscripts were somewhat faulty.Regardless, even with all these "deleations" that you are refering to, the textual message remains the same.

The Word of God can not be faulty...I heard that plenty of times that the new translations are from older manuscripts and is much easier to read. Do you not realize that Satan hates the Word of God so much? I am sure enough that before the KJB was existed there were people being murdered for translating the Word of God to which ever language...(like Hebrew and Greek to English)(especially english) You don't see people being murdered for changing, removing verses from the Word of God...I'm not even going to argue at all...literally pointless. I rather stick with a bible whose copyrighted not by man but of God. I can see right clearly of what is happening to the Word of God...(Garry T)

If the KJV translators added some words (expanding) than we are very much in trouble. God hates it when people adds words to the Word of God also. I know that isn't possible...Sounds like guesswork. Again I'm just going to not argue at all.

tsj,Then if you're through discussing, I'll leave you with one final question; Who is more powerful, God or Satan?

God, Common sense.Satan is too power hungry. In other words lusting...as he is the only one damned to Hell.Matthew 7:16-20 - Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them,

tsj,Then if God is more powerful than Satan, How could He let Satan pervert His Holy Scripture!God is everything, Satan is a pinhead!

Because God allows him to...this is where free will takes place in...some people can't see truth from God's Words and then make a "bible" and put some of their preconceived ideas to deceived the multitude. And if there was no truth, all lie bible, nobody would be deceived. Satan is not stupid, he knows scripture and he knows that he needs some truth in his bible.Satan is a pinhead.Did you know that God is not a god of everything?

Yes, Satan must clear everything he plans doing with God! But God Doesn't Lie! God gives us his Word and says over and over He will keep it pure. If He can't keep it from being corrupted, then your god must be lieing. No thanks but I'll stick with my God!

Actually Garry, over this Earth, God has kept it pure...at the same time, He allows Satan to deceived the multitude with his lies (for people to pick a side)...since Satan can also create bibles...It's all about a person choices...their free will. to whether serve Him or the Devil.

Reasons for Accepting the KJV as God's Preserved Word 1. God promised to preserve His words (Psa. 12:6-7; Mat. 24:35). There has to be a preserved copy of God's pure words somewhere. If it isn't the KJV, then what is it? 2. It has no copyright. The text of the KJV may be reproduced by anyone for there is no copyright forbidding it's duplication. This is not true with the modern perversions. 3. The KJV produces good fruit (Mat. 7:17-20). No modern translation can compare to the KJV when it comes to producing good fruit. For nearly four hundred years, God has used the preaching and teaching of the KJV to bring hundreds of millions to Christ. Laodicean Christians might favor the new versions, but the Holy Spirit doesn't. 4. The KJV was translated during the Philadelphia church period (Rev. 3:7-13). The modern versions begin to appear rather late on the scene as the lukewarm Laodicean period gets underway (Rev. 3:14-22), but the KJV was produced way back in 1611, just in time for the many great revivals (1700-1900). The Philadelphia church was the only church that did not receive a rebuke from the Lord Jesus Christ, and it was the only church that "kept" God's word (Rev. 3:8). 5. The KJV translators were honest in their work. When the translators had to add certain words, largely due to idiom changes, they placed the added words in italics so we'd know the difference. This is not the case with many new translations. 6. All new translations compare themselves to the KJV. Isn't it strange that the new versions never compare themselves to one another? For some strange reason they all line up against one Book--the A.V. 1611. I wonder why? Try Matthew 12:26. 7. The KJV translators believed they were handling the very words of God (I Ths. 2:13). Just read the King James Dedicatory and compare it to the prefaces in the modern versions. Immediately, you will see a world of difference in the approach and attitude of the translators. Which group would YOU pick for translating a book? 8. The KJV is supported by far more evidence. Of over 5,300 pieces of manuscript evidence, ninety-five percent supports the King James Bible! The changes in the new versions are based on the remaining five percent of manuscripts, most of which are from Alexandria, Egypt. (There are only two lines of Bibles: the Devil's line from Alexandria, and the Lord's line from Antioch. We'll deal with this later.) 9. No one has ever proven that the KJV is not God's word. The 1611 should be considered innocent until proven guilty with a significant amount of genuine manuscript evidence. 10. The KJV exalts the Lord Jesus Christ. The true scriptures should testify of Jesus Christ (John 5:39). There is no book on this planet which exalts Christ higher than the King James Bible. In numerous places the new perversions attack the Deity of Christ, the Blood Atonement, the Resurrection, salvation by grace through faith, and the Second Coming. The true scriptures will TESTIFY of Jesus Christ, not ATTACK Him!http://www.av1611.org/kjv/fight.html

From what I see, the meaning in each bible is the same.

Satan was trying to doubt Eve's perception of what God said, rather than not knowing what God said himself.
