He lives inside, and has promised to never leave. I don't know what the age to come will be like, but I know that the intimacy we have with God will not end.

Much love!

Yes I also sense him close and he stays with me, I sense him often. So I see what you are saying I think :) Cheers.

If you are not as learnered about the bible or proficient in the word, does that determine your place in heaven? will i get judge for weakness of faith,

I feel like i have strong faith but i am not as proficient as others, i havent read the bible fully, so i think maybe i will be judged for that :( it is something i want to improve, i would like to read the bible before i die but i am very slow :(

Your place in heaven is determined by your obedience ot the plan of god for your life! If you ccould have read more but more importantly SHOULD have read more- that is bad. If you know what God is asking you to do in the plan for your life and you are not doing it- bad.

Are you following the will of god as declared by the Scriptures for every believer?

All these things come into play, plus heart attitude.

I think God has a plan for me but i am not fulfilling it to the best of my ability so i am falling short of Gods will for me.

You need to talk to him about that but don't try too hard. Trying to hard and beating yourself has the effect of taking your eyes of Jesus and looking inward at yourself. Just talk to him about it and sit back and let him work in you.

I used to have the same problem every winter and I would worry so much about why I didn't feel right with God. And then one day my loving God spoke directly into my spirit and said, 'Just be and let me.' So I did.

thanks pearl, i am in two minds over it, not really sure, part of me is just going along with gods will and letting things naturally progress and the other part is saying your going too slow and it makes me think i will never be as good as i can be bc i take too long, its not laziness, i just dont think i am good enough for God and thats why i am not fulfilling his plan to the best of my ability, on the other hand if i went any quicker it would have a detrimental affect on me, it is very hard to judge the right thing to do or how to be, i think i will just keep doing what i can and following his plan, sorry it sounds like a very mixed up explanation, I dont want to force myself too much, i dont think it should be forced, God has a way of making things happen in good time so i guess i have to trust his judgement, I heard his timing is impeccable.

@Stuart Don't look at yourself through your own eyes as that is certain to bring you down. But see youself for who God says you are and don't argue with him. We aren't meant to judge ourselves. Take it easy and stop trying to hard to please him. He is pleased. He loves you. so let him get on with what he wants to do in your life without 'you' getting in his way. Beating yourself up about not being good enough is counter productive and will not bring you closer to God. I once made a list of who the bible says I am - and it's who you are too. I will post it on a new thread so look out for it.

That's the way the old mind, the mind of the flesh thinks. The new mind which God gives us trusts Him. When we don't trust, we need to remember that this is not the new me.

Much love!

@Stuart, believe me when I tell you that you certainly aren't alone. I sort of want Jesus to come back, but a part of me doesn't because a part of me doesn't believe my faith to be strong enough and I'm afraid of being left behind even though I love Jesus and believe that He died for my sins and then rose again three days later. :(

That's when it hits me that I will make it to Heaven because I have met the requirements. It's just Satan messing with our minds, just ignore him, block him out, and tell him to get lost and then he won't be able to bother you anymore. :) Prayers, hugs, and good wishes coming your way,.. incoming!! :D

I love this song because I am nowhere near close to be an angel or a saint (even though I have joked about it before lol) but Jesus definitely has a tight grip on my soul so I'm pretty sure that they're going to let me in. :D

Why would you assume anything but God's will determines our place in heaven?

Peace be with you!

I still have doubts that i will get into heaven as i dont think i am good enough, i dont feel worthy enough, if i was a boat i'd have sunk a long time ago :(

None of us is worthy... when we realize that and stop condemning others... our heart is free to be filled with His love!

Peace be with you!

Here's another thought for you @Stuart, why don't you just tell Jesus how you're feeling and ask Him to show you the answer to your problem? Have you tried that yet? He's a very good listener you know. :)

Not at all. There is a passage in Galatians that reads, "Let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden." (Galatians 6:4-5)

What it means is that every person is born with different aptitudes. I am fairly strong in the word, but that doesn't mean I will be judged more favorably than you. All it means is that God will hold me accountable for the way He created me. We are all dealt a certain hand, and the way we will be judged is not in comparison with one another, but on the basis of how well we did with the hand we were dealt.
.

if we can trust anything, we can trust that Jesus' judgements will be righteous... He proved it by suffering the justice of this world, so that He might offer us His! (and who can argue with HIS jusgements?)

Peace be with you!

it feels like i am at the foot of mountain at the moment that i need to climb and all i can really do is pray.

Dear Stuart,

And climb, brother, climb!! and when you dall back down, you get up and climb again!! And we help each other, and we carry each others burdens, and so do we ALL come to the fulness that God has prepared for us....

I don't know what that will entail... but it will be glorious!!

You too! Are welcome to come to the wedding feast of the Lamb of God!

Peace be with you!

All I have to say is that you have to get into the Word. Notice I capitalized Word because that's who Christ is, and the bible is the written expression, so in effect to dig into the bible is to fellowship with God. Praying (in the Spirit) is our communication to Him and the Bible is how He communicates with us. Yes, times are rough, but the bible is the very thing needed as it has all the answers. So "being busy" is not an option.

As for your place, first of all it's not in heaven. Heaven is coming to earth. Christ is coming back, and the purpose of the church is to rule and reign with him, starting with King David over Israel, the 12 apostles over all the tribes of Israel, Christ over the whole world, and the rest over various nations. As the gospel went to the nations so these rule and reign over them. Before the church, various leaders and prophets in Israel were inspired by God's Spirit, but most died without the Spirit (which came on Pentecost) which they will receive his Spirit later after the resurrection (c.f. Ezekiel 37) and they are raised up over Israel. (This is not second chance doctrine, but their first chance since they were not called in that age).

So, what does the church do in the Kingdom of God? (aka 1000 years) Read Revelation 1:6. Kings and priests. The function is to teach those in the world His ways, Obedience to God and His Commands. Some will be given many cities, and I suppose those who are not as learned given a small place, even if one has to rule and reign over the janitor's closet with three people they still need to be taught. That will make this mess disappear as people learn about the government of God. I.e. things will be great for awhile until one last interlude. And then the general resurrection I mentioned earlier and Great White Throne Judgement. Some of those not written in the book of Life will be thrown and destroyed in the lake of fire (perish). I hope that most of mankind will have learned by then.

As for heaven, I'm sure we have access if understood the headquarters is here. WE will no doubt be fixing what the fallen creation brought to us and putting the icing on the cake so-to-speak. That's what Paul meant by the manifestations of the sons of God in Romans 8. That's what all of creation awaits. Too much of heaven, hell, immortality, etc is based on Greek and pagan concepts. I had to overhaul myself once I read the bible many times over I saw that what I originally believed was not true.
