something eatable
it doesn't really matter...
I will post my thoughts in case there is something of interest to you or someone here.

The two trees in the Garden of Eden represented two Mothers by which Adam and his Wife could incarnate from.

In other words, Adam and his Wife were being given a choice as to which parent they wished to be birthed from.

I doubt they knew this as the whole story sounds like a set-up.

The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was, and still is, Mystery Babylon. She is the Earth Mother of the Human Race.

Who was the Father? Satan. Those are the parental DNA we all have right now.

The Forbidden Fruit was the fertilized Ovum... and guess what? We *ALL* partook of it. That is how we got here.

When Jesus uses the phrase "your Father the Devil", it is absolutely, one hundred percent literal, and it pertains to every Human on the planet.

The so called 'Seed of the Serpent' is what Men have between their feet. The Seed of the Woman is the Ovum.

Need more proof? Here...

Revelation 17:4
"And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication:"

What was in the cup? We are all adults here. Disgusting right?

That is the Forbidden Fruit!!!

It is the fertilized Zygote, waiting for a gullible Spirit and Soul to enter into it. We fell for the trap and here we are.

The Nations are mad because of it... lol.

Jeremiah 51:7
"Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad."

And now Jerusalem represents Mystery Babylon. Why? Because Jerusalem is the CENTER OF THE EARTH where the Temple Body is...

Interesting word you chose...

John 5:29
"And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation."

When Adam and his Wife opened their eyes after eating the Forbidden Fruit, I believe it was at that moment that they experienced the Resurrection of Damnation.

In other words, they really did die on that very day just like God said they would. It was not this watered down, meaningless 'Spiritual Death' as is often taught. In other words, they were Twice Dead.

This means that full knowledge of Good and Evil only occurs after physical death.

They were then judged and made to pass through the fire. The Flaming Sword and Cherubim were an Old Testament prophecy of the Lake of Fire.

yep

What's the difference between Adam and Eve eating the fruit from the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil; breaking any other law of God? Like refusing to name the animals or reproduce or tend the Garden?

I should think refusing to do *anything* that God commanded Adam and Eve would've constituted a sin. The thing that sticks out about the one they broke is that it indicated how they would defy God. It would be in the matter of what "appeared to be what is desirable for them to know," as opposed to what God wanted them to know.

This is at the heart of all rebellion against God, to think thoughts out of unity with God's own mind. Breaking *any* of God's commandments would have to be preceded by consideration of knowing an alternative to what intuitively was the right thing to do.

The obvious difference is that, if and when they eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil they will have the knowledge of good and evil.

I do know that it helps me to think of all my sin and disobedience as fruit I am being tempted to eat - it really brings things into focus and helps me focus
That's a very good thought, I want to hold on to that.

My wife and I just finished watching "A Beautiful Mind", Russell Crowe plays John Nash, a brilliant but schizophrenic man. He chose to go it without medication so he could continue his work, and have a life, and the delusions and hallucinations, he said they were like certain appetites he's learned not to indulge.

And I agree with you, I think both nature and nurture are responsible for the corruption of the flesh. We're both with a sin problem, and so much in life just makes it worse!

Much love!

I didn't bother reading all the responses because Adam and Eve were under no law, but received one commandment which they broke. The law is for the lawless and sinners. According to the scripture Adam and Eve were created "good", innocent and without sin, It was through Adam's transgression that sin entered into the world.
