@FluffyYellowDuck I am not promoting a politician...none of them (Rep or Dem). Just because I believe the decline shown on charts may be a reflection of more awareness, education, and society's view on life in the womb ....doesn't say anything about my view of a past or present president.

Honestly, I don't believe the charts are to be trusted. Unrecorded abortions happen all the time. The government is all up in that.

Sorry for the confusion, TLHKAH, I wasn't specifically responding to you with the rest of that just the first portion. The rest was directed towards the rest of the thread. I know you're not. :) I am with you on that.

You are correct in that second statement, as well, and I know from my own my family in the 50-60s, the procedure was done at home - and it was horrific.

Thank you, sis. I appreciate the clarification. So sad. It goes to show, that people who want to kill babies will always find a way. Mine were done by actual doctors ....under the government MK program.

I am against legalization of abortions, though (for any who want to know lol).

I just read a post that was made with reference to me on another thread... that person is apparently leaving the forums after over two years of being here... I haven't even made it for two months ( of regular usage )... I understand that we all come from different walks of life... some of us come here to practice their scripture skills... some of us come to practice debating skills... some come simply for fellowship. That has been my reason... I have sought to find fellowship... I dived into some pretty hot waters... with the election thread... and I did learn a lot... mostly how to develop a thick skin... LOL... I am not going to add double drama to what has already been too much... I am not stating that I am leaving this site... but quite honestly... in light of what has occurred on this thread and this new thread made... complaining about me... I simply do not have the TOLERANCE or PATIENCE.... this is NOT worth seeking fellowship... and I think I might just be tired of trying.

I've been on CB for over 2 1/2 years, and it's been quite an experience for me. Really, quite a challenge not being able to see who's who and who's posting what.

A little while ago, someone quoted one of my replies and made it look like I said a woman has a right to choose what to do with her own body as if I approve of abortion. SEVERAL TIMES, I asked the person to edit her post in order to clarify that the quote was "hers" and not mine. Instead, she argued with me about it. I'm very angry and sad that there are members who would do such a thing!!!!!!! Of course, they will say it was all innocent--like all the other malicious comments and threats aimed at me. :(

Even though the devil won this battle, he has not and will not win the war!!! In fact, he lost the war! Jesus crushed his head!

I'm leaving for many reasons, but this was the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak.

Good bye, all, and God bless!

I found this information this morning... I posted this on another thread but thought I would start my own. I wonder how many people are aware of this. I was personally shocked.

President Donald Trump’s Justice Department resumed federal executions last year following a 17-year hiatus. No president in more than 120 years had overseen as many federal executions. (Source: Politico).

The Trump administration together with the Justice Department, has scheduled five prisoner executions before President-elect Joe Biden’s 20th January inauguration, breaking the 130-year-old precedent of halting prisoner executions during a presidential transition.

And if all executions take place, Trump will be the country’s most prolific execution president in more than a century, overseeing the executions of 13 death row inmates since 2020 July. (Source: Newsweek).

Since Trump authorised the resumption of federal executions, which began again in July 2020, the US government has applied the death penalty to 12 people.

This number means that the Trump administration has executed more American civilians than all of the states combined - the first time this has happened in US history. (Source: The Scotsman )

"No-one has ever attempted to carry out so many executions at the federal level," he said. "No-one in modern American history has attempted to carry out so many executions in such a short period of time... and no-one has done so in a manner that so closely disregards the rule of law." (Source: Newsweek).

yep. Beats me why this qualifies him as pro-life. Seems to be the height of hypocrisy to me.

The slaughter of an innocent child versus seeking justice for the life that a murder has taken are two entirely different things in my book.
Agreed as I'm pro-life and pro capital punishment. One can also be pro-life and against capital punishment as they are entirely separate issues.

hope this helps !!!

A wonderful thing.

Not sure what the solution is but if the reports are correct... the last execution BEFORE Trump administration was 17 years ago... so yes... I remain shocked as to why NOW.

I'm wondering if there are statistics on how many unborn lives the Republican party has saved over the years?
That's just total nonsense...of the states that still use capital punishment...my state being one of them...carried out the execution as scheduled at the time of sentencing.

So what is your take on it then? (Capital punishment.)

I believe in letting the punishment fit the crime but that is irrelevant to my comment.
The one who sentenced a criminal to be executed is the prosecuting attorney and the judge and at times the jury.
The prosecutor is the one who seeks the death penalty. The jurors determine guilt and at times the punishment, the judge does the sentencing.
To blame Trump for having the most executions during his term is so blatantly ignorant of our laws. Capital punishment is determined state by state. It is not a federal act. However war crimes and crimes against humanity are handled by military law.
