What are some of your personal favorite Passages or verses from the Gospels, Jesus's words especially, but any parts of the 4 Gospels are welcome.

I'll start:

John 4
31In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. 32But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

I don't like to specify this one over that one, but there are some certainly that stand out above others at a given time, especially when I need to hear it:

"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matt 5:14-16

Since so much of the Gospels are Jesus' actual words I can't hardly decide which I like the best.
I suppose His teaching on the mount... the beatitudes....is a favorite. But I really love His message He spoke to His disciples before He was crucified..
John 16 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
¹³ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
¹⁴ He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
¹⁵ All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
¹⁶ A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

This message is one of so much hope...I love that He has His business all in order before He left....and to assure us that He would not leave us wandering like lost orphans...but that He would send a comforter....The Spirit of Truth.

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
