Long title, huh?
I have a theory.
I think there is something very wrong going on in the weird side of Christian-based YouTube, where it's brainwashing people into what I can only explain as sort of a "contagious psychosis." The reason I say contagious is because it seems to be spreading pretty rapidly and anyone who gets caught up in the net is nearly impossible to save.
Some of the things that a close family member had told me about last year to prepare for has gone all of the way from "Three days of darkness are coming and you need to keep all of the windows and doors shut and stay inside to keep out the demons" to "Elon Musk is already trying to download our consciousness into crystals" to "Marina Abramović was singing at Biden's inauguration because of the illuminati" (Okay, it was a photoshopped meme but they do not know) to "Billy Graham was a third degree mason and they're all part of a cult."
And the explanations for me having not taken them seriously is because "these prophets know what they're talking about ... they have all of the news articles ...this guy has seen a lot of stuff in his visions and God does do that."
It's driving me nuts. Everything has been proven wrong or ridiculous over and over and over again and the worst part about this is this the stuff they're sending to people in hopes that they'll "get saved in the end times." Even sending videos to people on how to survive being left behind.
And now they're hearing voices that are "on point" or "too accurate" (with things being in sync or future events) and so have I, but I used my experience as an example to show them that it's demonic.
My word hasn't meant anything to them in regards to "stop doing that" or "these people are false prophets" or "those are demonic spirits" because I had some hard times so now their excuse is, "Well I think you just got really hurt with your experience and now maybe that isn't God's answer for you right now, but for everybody else we all want to level up and elevate ourselves." (Not with character but with spiritual gifts and chasing after them in my opinion is dangerous.)
But I think this is a serious thing that is spreading because other people are starting to fall for it and I think it's actually pretty serious.
Meanwhile I feel like I'm chasing Alice in Wonderland to pull her out of the hole, but she won't come out and she bites if you try.
