In 1954 A.A. Allen published his vision of the destruction of America (quoted below).
(If you Google this subject you'll get several links with commentary and photographs.)

It can be argued that Allen's prediction was affected by the 1950's geo-political fear of nuclear apocalypse.
For those who remember those times, the possibility of nuclear holocaust was very very real to everyone. Many sci-fi and
dramatic films made during the 50's reflect the fear of those days.

Today, who knows. Nuclear proliferation is certainly more dangerous than at any time since then. Rogue states now have the potential for nuclear intimidation. Radical Islam threatens peace everywhere and economic trade imbalances are threatening the very fabric of global economic stability.

Within the United States there is a raging political controversy about the future of American liberty. My main purpose is to submit Allen's prophecy to everyone in the hope that some comment or debate may begin REGARDING THE PROPHECY AND THE STATE & FUTURE OF AMERICAN LIBERTY.

Central to the prophecy is the image of the Statue of Liberty and how it reacts to foreign threats. Today many believe that threats to our liberty are domestic rather than foreign. Focus on those parts of the vision that relate the statue and its reaction to visionary events. They are particularly illuminating and horriffic.

What do you think?
Is this vision really from God or is it only the paranoia of a man who lived at the dawn of the nuclear age?

ALLEN'S VISION

My Vision of the Destruction of America
As I stood atop the Empire State Building, I could see the Statue of Liberty, illuminating the gateway to the new world. Here, spread before me like an animated map, is an area sixty or eighty miles in diameter. I was amazed that the Spirit of the Lord should so move me, there atop the Empire State Building. Why should I feel such a surge of His Spirit and power there?

Suddenly I heard the voice of the Lord. It was as clear and as distinct as a voice could be. It seemed to come from the very midst of the giant telescope. But when I looked at the telescope, I knew it hadn't come from there, but directly from heaven. The voice said, "The eyes of the lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him. Herein you have done foolishly. Therefore, from henceforth, you shall have wars."

Immediately when I heard the voice of God, I knew this was a quotation of Scripture. But never before had a thing come to me so forcibly by the power of the Spirit. The ticking of the telescope stopped. The man before me had used up his dimes worth. As he stepped away I knew that I was next. As I stepped to the telescope and dropped in my dime, immediately the ticking started again. This ticking was an automatic clock which would allow me to use the telescope for a definitely limited time only.

As I swung the telescope to the North, suddenly the Spirit of God came upon me in a way that I had never thought of before. Seemingly in the spirit I was entirely caught away. I knew that the telescope itself had nothing to do with the distance which I was suddenly enabled to see, for I seemed to see things far beyond the range of the telescope, even on a bright clear day. It was simply that God had chosen this time to reveal these things to me, for as I looked through the telescope, it was not Manhattan Island that I saw, but a far larger view. That morning, much of the view was impaired by fog. But suddenly as the Spirit of the Lord came upon me the fog seemed to clear, until it seemed that I could see for thousands of miles.

But that which I was looking upon was not Manhattan island, it was all of the North American Continent spread out before me as a map is spread upon a table, it was not the East River and the Hudson River that I saw on either side, but the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans. And instead of the Statue of Liberty standing there in the bay on her small island I saw her standing far out in the Gulf of Mexico. She was between me and the United States.

I suddenly realized that the telescope had nothing to do with what I was seeing, but that it was a vision coming directly from God. And to prove this to myself I took my eyes away from the telescope, so that I was no longer looking through the lens, but the same scene remained before me.

There, clear and distinct, lay all the North American Continent, with all it's great cities. To the North lay the Great Lakes. Far to the Northeast was New York City. I could see Seattle and Portland far to the Northwest. Down the West Coast, there were San Francisco and Los Angeles. Closer in the foreground, there lay New Orleans, at the center of the Gulf Coast area. I could see the great towering ranges of the Rocky Mountains, and trace with my eye the Continental Divide. All this and more, I could see spread out before me as a great map upon a table.

And as l looked, suddenly from the sky I saw a giant hand reach down. That gigantic hand was reaching out toward the Statue of Liberty. In a moment her gleaming torch was torn from her hand, and in it instead was placed a cup. And I saw protruding from that great cup, a giant sword, shining as if a great light had been turned upon its glistening edge. Never before had I seen such a sharp, glistening, dangerous sword. lt seemed to threaten all the world. As the great cup was placed in the hand of the Statue of Liberty, I heard these words, "Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Drink ye and be drunken, spue and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send" As I heard these words, I recognized them as a quotation from Jeremiah 25:7.

I was amazed to hear the Statue of Liberty speak out in reply, "I WILL NOT DRINK!" Then as the voice of the thunder, I heard again the voice of the Lord, saying, "Thus saith the Lord of Hosts, YE SHALL CERTAINLY DRINK." (Jer.25:28) Then suddenly the giant hand forced the cup to the lips of the Statue of Liberty, and she became powerless to defend herself. The mighty hand of God forced her to drink every drop from the cup. As she drank the bitter dregs, these were the words that I heard, "Should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of Hosts." (Jer.25:29) When the cup was withdrawn from the lips of the Statue of Liberty, I noticed the sword was missing from the cup, which could mean but one thing. THE CONTENTS OF THE CUP HAD BEEN COMPLETELY CONSUMED! I knew that the sword merely typified war, death, and destruction, which is no doubt on the way.

Then as one drunken on too much wine, I saw the Statue of Liberty become unsteady on her feet and begin to stagger, and to lose her balance. I saw her splashing in the Gulf, trying to regain her balance. I saw her stagger again and again, and fall to her knees. As I saw her desperate attempts to regain her balance, and rise to her feet again, my heart was moved as never before with compassion for her struggles. But as she staggered there in the gulf, once again I heard these words, "Ye shall drink and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more because of the sword that I shall send among you."

As I watched, I wondered if the Statue of Liberty would ever be able to regain her feet - if she would ever stand again. And as I watched, it seemed that with all her power she struggled to rise, and finally staggered to her feet again, and stood there swaying drunkenly. I felt sure that at any moment she would fall again - possibly never to rise. I seemed overwhelmed with a desire to reach out my hand to keep her head above water, for I knew that if she ever fell again she would drown there in the Gulf.

"Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday." Psalms 91:5,6.

Then as I watched, another amazing thing was taking place. Far to the Northwest, just out over Alaska, a huge, black cloud was arising. As it rose, it was as black as night. It seemed to be in the shape of a man's head. As it continued to arise, I observed two light spots in the black cloud. It rose further, and a gaping hole appeared. I could see that the black cloud was taking the shape of a skull, for now the huge, white, gaping mouth was plainly visible. Finally the head was complete. Then the shoulders began to appear and on either side long, black arms. It seemed that what I saw was the entire North American Continent, spread out like a map upon a table with this terrible skeleton-formed cloud arising from behind the table. It rose steadily until the form was visible down to the waist. At the waist, the skeleton seemed to bend towards the United States, stretching forth a hand toward the East and one toward the West - one toward New York and one toward Seattle. As the awful form stretched forward, I could see that the entire attention seemed to be focused upon the U.S., overlooking Canada at least for the time being. As I saw the horrible black cloud in the form of a skeleton bending towards America, bending from the waist over, reaching down toward Chicago and out towards both coasts, I knew it's one interest was to destroy the multitudes.

As I watched in horror, the great black cloud stopped just above the great lakes region, and turned it's face towards New York City. Then out of the horrible, great gaping mouth began to appear wisps of white vapor which looked like smoke, as a cigarette smoker would blow puffs of smoke from his mouth. These whitish vapors were being blown toward New York City. The smoke began to spread, until it had covered all the eastern part of the United States.

Then the skeleton turned to the West, and out of the horrible mouth and nostrils came another great puff of white smoke. This time it was blown in the direction of the West Coast. In a few moments time, the entire West Coast and L.A. area was covered with it's vapors

Then towards the center came a third great puff. As I watched, St. Louis and Kansas City were enveloped in its white vapors. Then on it came towards New Orleans. Then on they swept until they reached the Statue of Liberty where she stood staggering drunkenly in The blue waters of The Gulf. As the white vapors began to spread around The head of the statue, she took in but one gasping breath, and then began to cough as though to rid her lungs of the horrible vapors she had inhaled. One could readily discern by the coughing that those white vapors had seared her lungs.

What were these white vapors? Could they signify bacteriological warfare or nerve gas that could destroy multitudes of people in a few moments time? Then I heard the voice of God, as He spoke again: "Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof,. And it shall be, as with the people. so with The priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the buyer, so with the seller, as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled : for The Lord has spoken this word. The earth mourneth and fadeth away,The world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish . The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore has the curse devoured the earth and they that dwell therein are desolate; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned and few men are left." (Isa.24:1-6)

As I watched, the coughing grew worse. It sounded like a person was about to cough out his lungs. The Statue was moaning and groaning. She was in mortal agony. The pain must have been terrific, as again and again, she tried to clear her lungs of those horrible white vapors. I watched her there in the Gulf, as she staggered, clutching her lungs and her breast with her hands. Then she fell to her knees. In a moment, she gave one final cough, and made a last desperateeffort to rise from her knees, and then fell face forward into the waters of The Gulf and lay still as death. Tears ran down my face as I realized that she was dead! Only The lapping of The waves, splashing over her body, which was partly under the water, and partly out of water, broke the silence.

"A fire devoureth before them, and behind them a flame burneth; the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them, a desolate wilderness." Joel 2:3

Suddenly the silence was shattered by the screaming of sirens. The sirens seemed to scream, "RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!" Never before had I heard such shrill, screaming sirens. They seemed to be everywhere - to the North, South, the East and the West. There seemed to be multitudes of sirens. And as I looked, I saw people everywhere running. But it seemed none of them ran more than a few paces, and then they fell. And even as I had seen the Statue struggling to regain her poise and balance, and finally falling to die on her face, I now saw millions of people falling in the streets, on the sidewalks, struggling. I heard their screams for mercy and help. I heard their horrible coughing as though their lungs had been seared with fire. I heard the moanings and groanings of the doomed and the dying. As I watched, a few finally reached shelters, and above the moaning and groanings, I heard these words: "A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth for the Lord has a controversy with the nations. He will plead with all flesh; He will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord. Behold evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of The earth. And The slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even onto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented neither gathered nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. (Jer. 25:31-33)

Then suddenly I saw from the Atlantic and from the Pacific, and out of the Gulf, rocket-like objects that seemed to come up like fish leaping out of the water . High into the air they leaped, each headed in a different direction, but every one towards The U.S. On the ground, the sirens screamed louder. And up from the ground I saw similar rockets begin to ascend. To me, these appeared to be interceptor rockets although they arose from different points all over the U.S. However, none of them seemed to be successful in intercepting the rockets that had risen from the ocean on every side. These rockets finally reached their maximum height, slowly turned over, and fell back toward the earth in defeat. Them suddenly, the rockets which had leaped out of the ocean like fish all exploded at once. The explosion was ear- splitting. The next thing which I saw was a huge ball of fire. The only thing I have ever seen which resembled the thing I saw in my vision was the picture of the explosion of the H-bomb in the South Pacific. In my vision, it was so real I seemed to fell a searing heat from it.

As the vision spread before my eyes, and I viewed the widespread desolation brought about by the terrific explosions, I could not help thinking, " While the defenders of our nation have quibbled over what means of defense to use, and neglected the only true means of defense, faith and dependence upon the true and living God, the thing which she greatly feared has come unto her! How true it has proven that "Except the Lord keep The city, The watchman watches but in vain."

Then as the noise of the battle subsided, to my ears cam this quotation from Joel, the second chapter, "Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run..." (Joel 2:4).

In 1954 A.A. Allen published his prophetic vision. The year before on the 27th of July, the United States signed an armistice with the nations of North Korea and China, putting a quiet end to the first major defeat of American foreign policy in the second half of the twentieth century. The people of the United States were still drunk on a heightened national ego following their WWII victory eight years previously. None were willing to recognize the failure of military and political policy. The Korean War became invisible and unmentionable. It didn't happen because we ignored it.

School children, of which I was one, were still taught that America had never lost a war despite the reverses in Korea and the terrible loss of life during the civil war. It was the beginning of academic revisionism in a society which prided itself on the free exchange and expression of thought.

In the year of Allen's vision, the French defenders of Dien Bien Phu surrendered to the Viet Minh. The defeat of French colonialism created a shift in the geo-political alignement of southeast Asia. Unmindful of the consequences, the United States jumped into this seething cauldron with both feet and suffered for its arrogance for the next twenty one years. More than 50,000 Americans would loose their lives in the Viet Nam conflict and only the rage of the nations people would end it.

A.A. Allen quotes Jeremiah 25:7 "Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Drink ye and be drunken, spue and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send". He implies that the United States would experience war for the forseeable future and loose its liberty and national identity as a result. Dating from the time of his vision, the United States would indeed enter a long period of military failure.

After a fifteen year period of rearmament the United States engaged in the first middle east war. The Desert Storm broke in August of 1990. Five years later, America participated in the Bosnian War and one month after 9/11 we launched Operation Enduring Freedom in Afganistan. Iraq was invaded two years later. Both wars continue to be military hot spots despite the announcement of peace by two presidents. We the people of the United States have indeed been drinking from the cup of almost constant war since 1954.

Today we are learning that our basic liberties, which we have been so proud of, are badly eroded. Many believe that the progress of events is unstoppable, that our economy is on the verge of collapse and that our personal freedom will be quenched by a bloated and debauched Federal government. Allen's vision predicted the assault upon the Statue of Liberty and how she eventually collapsed.

Is Allen's vision truly inspired by God? If so, then there is no hope in divine providence for national deliverance. For many years preachers of every flavor have been calling the people of the United States to repentance and prayer. Apparently it hasn't worked because things are worse than they have ever been in our entire history.

No one pays serious attention to any of the voices of caution, either spiritual or secular. Modern education in America is almost completely dictated and administered by anti-religious, anti-American revisionist policies. Children are taught political lies instead of basic academic skills and our leaders exercise their public trust with ineptitude and corrupted morality.

When I was a school boy in the 1950's we were taught that we were powerful and wealthy because God loved us. Today public prayer is illegal and the use of the name of God in school is restricted. Our schools are a mess, our foreign military adventures are fruitless and our domestic policies are bankrupt, literally as well as figuratively. It truly seems as though God has turned His face against us as a nation. Allen's vision seems to be coming true before our eyes.

What then shall we do and where shall we go? Is there no mercy from on high for us? Some say yes, but the march of history and Allen's vision seems to say otherwise.

Is there perhaps a Reader's Digest Condensed Version of all this I could peruse?

I work for a living, which means I have very little time to spend on this site.
Is there perhaps a Reader's Digest Condensed Version of all this I could peruse?

I encourage the reader to go back and review the entire text of Allens vision. The imagery is important.

In answer to your query, here is the short version. The basic imagery of the vision focuses on the Statue of Liberty.
* * *
The vision states that God will take the lamp from the Statues' hand and replace it with a cup of warfare.
She is forced to drink from the cup.
When she does, she becomes drunk from the liquor.
She staggers about for a period of time, falls once or twice and struggles to stand again with great difficulty.

Later in the narrative, the statue is forced to breath in some noxious fumes which originate from the North West beyond Alaska. (Russia?)

The fumes cause her final collapse. Following or during this collapse there is some sort of general assault upon the North American continent which destroys the land and its people.

* * *

I first read about this prophecy several decades ago. Its imagery is very powerful and affected me so much that I remembered it for a very long time. The recent economic and political debates in this country have caused many to question the status of our liberty. When I heard about these debates, Allen's vision returned to my memory.

The USA has indeed been continually drunk on war for so many years that there is now no one living who can remember a period of extended peace. Liberty is indeed staggering about as though drunk from the vintage of war. Allen's vision says that complete destruction is next.

One can only hope that Allen was wrong. The vision and its implications for our country are terrible.

Should have noticed by now that Christ's enemies have to sought to destroy us from 'within', and not by nuclear holocaust.

The Russians even bragged long ago they would take the U.S. over without firing a shot.

Read the Goliytsn's work 'New Lies For Old'. He was an ex-KGB colonel that defected to the U.S. in the 1960's.

Interesting. Timetable?

I read about this vision a while ago and it has always remained in the back of my mind.

I haven't read any explanation from Mr. Allen about this vision. I can't comment on it or the intent of the author other than to speculate on its meaning.

The imagery is powerful and serves to explain much of what is presently happening to us today. Whether it actually predicts some general apocolyptic attack upon our shores remains to be seen. Personally I would rather not be around to witness such an event.

The constant warfare we have thrust upon the world has indeed been a contributing cause of our loss of liberty at home. None here question the wisdom of such a national policy. It's taken for granted that brutality is the natural extension of American foreign policy.

It is rather odd that the vision has the statue standing in the Gulf of Mexico rather than NY harbor. Mr. Allen must have been aware of the error in geography.

The comment above that the Russians intended to attack America with lies is very interesting. What better way to represent an attack of lies in a prophetic vision than to portray them as a dark cloud?

Dreams and prophecies notwithstanding I am ready to wake up now and be done with our collective national nightmare.

Or perhaps like a child on a long road trip in the family car I need to nod off and simply ask someone to wake me up when we get there.

In 1954 A.A. Allen published his vision of the destruction of America (quoted below).
'rjp34652 ... Thank you for the A.A.Allen information. I had not previously been aware of it. Much appreciated.

However I have always been familiar with what Jeremiah prophecied .... it is much the same as what Allen says except it appears to be worldwide. Quite frankly I find it frightening. I will quote parts of it below: Notice I have underlined portions that indicate it is worldwide:

===================================================================================
The Cup of God's Wrath

25:15 ,,,,,,, make all the nations to whom I send you drink it. When they drink it, they will stagger and go mad........

So I took the cup from the LORD's hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it: [sup]18[/sup] Jerusalem and the towns of Judah, its kings and officials, to make them a ruin and an object of horror and scorn and cursing, as they are today; [sup]19[/sup] Pharaoh king of Egypt, his attendants, his officials and all his people, [sup]20[/sup] and all the foreign people there; all the kings of Uz; all the kings of the Philistines (those of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and the people left at Ashdod [sup]21[/sup] Edom, Moab and Ammon; [sup]22[/sup] all the kings of Tyre and Sidon; the kings of the coastlands across the sea; [sup]23[/sup] Dedan, Tema, Buz and all who are in distant places [sup][c][/sup] ; [sup]24[/sup] all the kings of Arabia and all the kings of the foreign people who live in the desert; [sup]25[/sup] all the kings of Zimri, Elam and Media; [sup]26[/sup] and all the kings of the north, near and far, one after the other—all the kingdoms on the face of the earth. And after all of them, the king of Sheshach [sup][d][/sup] will drink it too.

:29 ........ for I am calling down a sword upon all who live on the earth, declares the LORD Almighty

[sup]32[/sup] This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Look! Disaster is spreading from nation to nation; a mighty storm is rising from the ends of the earth."

[sup]33[/sup] At that time those slain by the LORD will be everywhere—from one end of the earth to the other. They will not be mourned or gathered up or buried, but will be like refuse lying on the ground.
=====================================================================================

Anyone else ever read this part of Jeremiah? Like I said , scary stuff.

By the way "Sheshach" is cryptogram for Babylon

It reads like Sheshach drinks AFTER everyone else.

in the kingdom of heaven right now
It is quite obvious, and very true, that we live in a wicked nation. And it is equally quite obvious, and very true, that we live in a wicked Christendom. We have the same sinful statistics as the damned do. But we insist that we are the righteousness of Christ. Such blatant blashpemy. Yet when I speak against Christendom, I am condemned. Of course.

Judging by the fruit of Christendom, their beliefs are not correct. Each person lives their beliefs. Yet everyone states that their beliefs are correct. Even on this forum. But look at the fruit of their beliefs. Few indeed are those who are willing to entertain the idea that their beliefs just might possibly be wrong. Crazy. "As a man thinks, so is he." Perhaps God knew what He was talking about when He said this?

I find it amazing that Christendom can be so hard hearted, be so spiritually blind, as to deny the facts staring them in the face, stating that they personally are not this way. Everyone else sees them for what they are.

How great is that darkness!

Tragic.

Woe! WOE! WOE to Christendom, for she drinks of the sins of the nations as her own, and she is drunk on it, addicted to it. She drinks sin like water, prostituting herself with anything and everything, freely. Woe!

"Come out from her, my people, lest you partake of her sins."

If this vision is credible then it is God's will, so it is inevitable. Worrying about stuff like this gets in the way of loving others, which seems to me to be exactly what the enemy wants.

Allen's vision is simply one of many applications of Bible prophecy within an era of nuclear threat. Others like Hal Lindsay with his Late Great Planet Earth later would declare similar things. Problem is though, much of that type of view excludes many other Bible prophecies that reveal a different type of ending centered at Jerusalem with Christ's return.

The ultimate doomsday proponents of the day have been those on the Pre-trib "secret rapture" doctrines. They must propose a situation on earth that justifies their false doctrines of the need for escape.

Christ's enemies don't want to literally destroy this earth with a nuclear holocaust, for they want to rule over this earth, and over all nations. That is what's coming, which is what God's Word has also prophesied. Allen's vision suggests all out nuclear holocaust, man destroying himself, which is not an idea aligned with God's Word.

In the Book of Joel, God describes the identity of the locusts as "a nation", meaning a certain people whose metaphorical teeth are like those of lions (Joel 1:6). In Joel 2, God calls those locusts "a great people and a strong". "A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, nothing shall escape them." (Joel 2:2-3). God describes them working like how a real locust develops in four stages. And in Joel 2:25, God tells us they are a great army He sends among His people in the last days.

In Georgetown University history professor Carrol Quigley's 1960's book Tragedy And Hope, himself an admitted "establishment" 'insider', he revealed how there was a push to use atomic weapons upon Japan to end WWII instead of defeating mainland Japan by conventional warfare. The push to use nuclear weapons was to usher the world into the atomic age. It was to actually 'scare' nations into fear, to force nations to join together under the purposes of the United Nations organization. After the start of the atomic age, nations would be forced to re-think their use of conventional warfare, and tread more carefully, and literally force nations into a world collective bargaining system, giving world organizations like the U.N. more power with its goal of becoming a world union.

In a world with constant nuclear threat, how would any nation be able to refuse joining such a world union organization like the U.N.? With any one nation that steps out of line with the union, the other members join together to form a more powerful bond against any single nation standing alone. In time, the goals of the union become the goals of all nations, whether any single nation agrees or not. That has been the reason for wars after WWII, which have been Police Actions supported through U.N. authority. President George Bush at the end of the Gulf War even stated the real purpose for the Gulf War was "to empower the United Nations". 28 different nations participated in the 1990's Gulf War to prove it.

In 1945 Algier Hiss was our U.S. State Department representative to the U.N. in coercing the U.S. to sign onto the United Nations Charter in San Francisco. He was later discovered to be a Soviet spy (per 1950's FBI agent Cleon Skousen in his 1958 book The Naked Communist). That revealed the Communists had a clear plan to entice the U.S. into joining a world organization like the U.N., and thereby begin the relinquishing of U.S. national sovereignty little by little, breaking U.S. Constitutional law. With the powerful U.S. brought into the U.N. body, many other nations would be forced to follow suit, bringing the internationalist's goal of a "one world government" closer to realization.

If we look at the history of U.N. function and policy, we can easily see it has not been an organ that has favoured the rights of the American people, but has only done enough to outwardly appear legit, while allowing atrocities by world communism to continue. That shouldn't be a surprise, since the majority of U.N. secretaries and deputy secretary generals have come from the eastern block nations, including the old Soviet Union.

In Ezekiel 38, God gave an alignment of nations that will ultimately come upon His people of Israel in the last days. That nation alignment is almost complete today, as it points to Russia ('rosh', Tubal, Gog and Magog) and its allies (Gomer, pointing to old Soviet buffer states like Georgia), including certain nations of Islam with Persia, Libya, Ethiopia (most likely Sudan which was part of ancient Ethiopia), and Togarmah (ancient areas of Turkey and Armenia). Not one western nation is mentioned by God in that alignment of Ezekiel 38.

In Zephaniah 3, God said it is His intent to gather the nations around Jerusalem in the end, to pour out His cup of wrath upon them. That's what will cause the end with Christ's army coming to do battle there in Jerusalem. And God told us to not have fear of all that, for He is going to do it. And then He promised to restore to His people what the locust army devoured when sent among His people (Joel 2).

The real signs in the world today are not of all out nuclear war, but of a takeover of God's people through the stroke of a pen, through the changing of the laws little by little, using false peace. Each time 'puppets' belonging to the locusts speak of nuclear threat that is only to keep their scare tactics in minds of the masses so they can continue their work of ultimate takeover from wtihin. This is why Apostle Paul warned in 1 Thessalonians 5 that Christ's coming on the day of The LORD will be in a time when the majority will be saying, "Peace and safety". It's about a time of world peace when the majority of people least expect Christ's coming.

The exact opposite of what the doomsdayers have been preaching is happenning. All nations are being gathered into a "one world government" system under world socialism. Our rights provided us by our U.S. Constitution are being taken away, and supplanted by the trumped-up rights of world governing bodies like the U.N. And nations that go against internationalist movements like the U.N. are being dealt with by using OUR military forces and OUR wealth. Likewise, our U.S. economy is having to become more dependent upon the internationalist's system of world finance. U.S. manufacturing is being moved to poorer nations to bring up their economies, the purpose being to redistribute the wealth of nations in order to balance all nation's economies towards the goal of a "one world government" prepared for the antichrist to rule over. Their goal is to create one gigantic nation state over all the earth under totalitarian rule. That has been the goal of world socialists, and world communists all along. And that's who the locust army of the Book of Joel is pointing to. That is the actual 'beast' working of Revelation 13 our Lord Jesus foretold us about for the end of days just prior to His return.

Veteran, your post is as sobering as any other on this thread.

I agree that those who wish to rule the world will scarcely nuke it, yet there are those who may employ such weapons if they feel they have no other recourse or perhaps from sheer malice.

The sense that I get from the Allen vision is not so much that of atomic annihilation discussed in your post as that of divine judgment which is more clearly stated in the Jeremiah passage quoted by Martin. The wierd thing that you and Martin and the Allen vision all seem to agree on is some sort of threat from Russia. What is masked in visions and prophecies and the dread of the 1950's seems to be upon us. I once attended a college where active Communists sought to indoctrinate students and where Marxist instructors had no reservation about adding their lies to the syllabus.

What fruit? What lies? What facts?

Christian organizations benefit every city in this nation. The jobless, the homeless, the hopeless are all ministered to. Where do you read that this is bad?

What blindness are you alluding to? What facts? The fact that the ten commandments are all good? The fact that God IS and that those who seek Him will discover His goodness for themselves and their families?

The church points the way to Christ Jesus. The church itself is not the way; only Christ.

Each man is responsible before God for deciding what to do about Jesus.

The church is not a stand in or proxy for the responsibility of any man.

As the church is not the way, neither can it be condemned for the sin or failure of any man.

Yes, I realize the possibility of the world controllers (locusts) allowing the use of such a weapon on a limited basis, all the more to cement their charade upon the masses. If the majority came to the truth, I doubt the locusts would think twice about using some surprise to make them get back in line. Afterall, the way God described the locusts in Joel is they can't be defeated by us, but by God only.

The Ezekiel 38-39 army that comes out of the northern quarters upon God's people Israel is for a 'specific' time at the end of this world. It's on the day that Christ returns, which is when they are defeated and destroyed.

In Matt.24:6, our Lord Jesus forwarned that when you hear of wars and rumours of wars, don't be troubled for that must come to pass, but... the end is not yet. The opposite of a time of war is a time of peace, and that's a link to the time of "Peace and safety" Paul spoke of.

Our Lord has shown us to expect a time of false peace upon the whole earth just prior to that Ezekiel 38 army coming upon Israel, just prior to His return. That's about the great tribulation time, which those like Hal LIndsay has wrong. It will be a time of peace for the deceived. All wars will have stopped, showing the globalist plan for a one world government coming to pass. In a true one world government system, all armies and means of war are controlled by it. If it will be a type of world socialist/communist system, which I think it will be, we're going to see a return of Lenninist/Marxist type controls instituted in early Soviet Russia, complete with secret police and political-religous executions. That will be the time when Esau will have the dominion, with breaking Jacob's yoke off his brother's neck (Gen.27:40).

You said, "which those like Hal Lindsay has wrong." What do you mean by that? I read his earliest work, but haven't kept up on his more recent stuff. Has he changed or altered his original interpretation or scenario?

I don't agree with Lindsay's original interpretation of the tribulation. In fact, I don't agree with about 99% of interpretations on this. Interested in learning your spin.

I'm not pushing any "spin" on what I'm saying brother. Hal Lindsay with his earlier work like The Late Great Planet Earth was about supporting a false Pre-trib "secret rapture" idea. It was doom & gloom in order to create fear to want to escape the tribulation altogether, and thus believe on the "secret rapture" idea they preach happens prior to the great tribulation. As far as I know, Lindsay's still on that idea with his later works also (which I have not read).

Allen's so-called vision could be used the same way if one gets away from what God's Word really shows how the end of days is to happen.

In my last post I covered how God's Word shows the very end (tribulation) is going to be a time of world peace to fool the majority, not all-out nuclear war. Many confuse the Gog and Magog army event of Ezekiel 38 and Armageddon with happenning 'during' the tribulation, when actually as written it happens on the day of Christ's return (day of The LORD), which is how the tribulation is ended by Christ's coming.

Those on a Pre-trib doctrine wrongly move the Gog and Magog and Armageddon events back to sometime within the tribulation so as to support their belief in being raptured prior to the tribulation. Allen's vision could be used to do that also, creating fear of going through the tribulation. We are not to have fear of the coming tribulation, but be prepared to make a stand for Christ through it, and wait for His coming to gather us. That won't be until after the tribulation, which is what our Lord Jesus declared in Matt.24 and Mark 13.

It's very simple. Our Lord in His Word has already told us what to expect during the great tribulation, and it's not all out nuclear war. It's just the opposite per Matt.24:6 and 1 Thess.5 with the time many will be saying, "Peace and safety". And we can either listen to Him in His Word and not have fear nor be deceived, or we can listen to man and wizards that peep that create fear to make us want to escape our duty to make a stand in the "evil day".
