What Are The Signs?

Luke 21:5-7 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, He said, As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And they asked Him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?

What sign heralds the last day for the above event hasn't yet occurred? Jesus answered....

21:22-24 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

Who is the wrath upon? Upon those "with child and that give suck," meaning those that not only fall into idolatry with the fake christ but help his vile religion. To put it another way, they take the mark of the beast in their foreheads (believe his lies so they are with child) and in their hands (give suck, nurture his deception). They fall into apostasy and are captive to Satan...that is happening now for Jerusalem is being trodden by the Gentiles and by "Jerusalem" I don't refer to the tiny speck of a city in the east.

21:25-28 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

What, or who are the signs? He tells us....

Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

The prophets, such as Isaiah, and God's children ARE the signs! They are the signs in the sun for they/we are children of the Light, we are In the Light, and the Light/Sun dwelleth In us so as He is The Light of the world, we too are the light of the world.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Matthew 5:12-14 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you. Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

The city...Jerusalem, the hill...mount Zion. People, His signs, not places!

Matthew 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

We are the "signs in the sun," for we dwell IN Him and He IN us....but, there are also "signs in the moon." Who are moon dwellers?

Matthew 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Psalm 74:3-4 Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary. Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.

Ensings, en-signs for signs. Ensigns can be a mark (as in the mark of Cain...which is, I believe, the first mark of the beast). Who are the enemies in the "midst of thy congregations?" Who roars as the lion, speaking words of deception "in the sanctuary?" The "ensigns," those with the mark, those false prophets, those fake "signs" are Wolves in sheep's clothing. Signs IN the moon/of the night/darkness. The ensigns are those with the mark of the beast that traffic in the souls of men and where are they? In the midst of our congregations, in our sanctuaries roaring like the young lions....lies, deception delivered in so holy a manner.

The working of Satan has been going on for a long time but soon, after his "working" comes much stronger deception! Signs in the moon, signs in the stars. Satan's powerful forces masquerading as children of God...lying wonders.

And yes, the working of Satan is a sign IN Christendom: look at the wicked statistics of the church. Look at the wickedness that they watch in movies, and consider them mere entertainment. Look at the wickedness that they watch on TV, and consider it merely entertainment. And yet them claim to be the righteousness of Christ! When we look at the proof of Christendom, seeing the wickedness and strife and sin within it, we must also look at it's beliefs, for "as a man thinks, so is he". We must then come to the conclusion that the beliefs of Christendom are not correct, or they'd have the correct fruit to prove it.

So yes, Whirlwind, your post is very, very good. The working of Satan has deceived many who profess Christ, but there always is the remnant, the true redeemed, those who are not snared by the Evil One and the ways of the world, but "keep themselves unspotted, and the evil one does not touch them". The others who profess Christ are spots and blemishes as they feast with us, the scriptures state. This is a fact, or God lied to us. Christ Himself stated that He is the door, and that many seek to enter the door, but will not. Many seek to enter heaven by Christ, but will not! Or Christ lied to us on that one, too. This is being more than a conqueror: keeping from sin. "He who is born of God does not sin, for God's seed remains in him, and he cannot sin." And other passages just like that, are all not understood by those who cannot live it, of course. And so they deny the truth. If we deny the truth, can we ever live it? Never! If we deny the truth, can we have the truth? Never! Even a child understands this basic truth, but Christians insist on denying these simple things.

Just as in the days of Elijah, and God stated that He had kept 7000 out of all those who were called by His name, the 7000 only who were actually pure and of God, althouth the rest who called themselves of God where not of God, and clearly so by the way that they lived, no matter how much they stated that they were God's children, chosen and elect. The same truth is today, as this is stated quite clearly in the NT also. The majority of those called by His name, Christians by very definition, are not the remnant, and their lives prove it -- just look at the statistics of the church, and the many posts on forums, such as those who tear down the ones who actually have the mind of Christ as the scriptures state that those born of God will have it. And they think themselves spiritual for doing this to such people, and for thinking contrary to clear scripture! And others think them to be very spiritual. "...Not only approve of them, but do the same things." "Lord, Lord... depart from me, you workers of iniquity" has a certain exact fit here, it would seem. "If therefore the light which is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!" Woe to Christendom! Woe! She is a spiritual whore. She is a white washed tomb. She takes those who are seeking to enter into the kingdom of heaven, and makes them twice the sons of hell, professing to know God but sill living in sin.

It's no small wonder that the man saw a vision from God, and there was a woman who deceived and was a spiritual prostitute, and that woman was described as a city, as a place where spiritual light was, but where spiritual darkness went forth and deceived the world, trading in the souls of men. It all fits together quite well. We see these things with our very eyes, for Christendom fits the bill perfectly.

Such incredible darkness within Christendom. It has been deceived and lives like it, yet there remains the elect who have not been deceived and keep themselves unspotted from the world and it's values and entertainments, and it's thoughts and actions.

Blessed are those who are actually, truly pure and righteous. Cursed are those who are defiled but claim the righteousness of God.

Salt and fresh cannot mix. To state otherwise is to be a fool. Or Christ Himself is a liar.
