And your folly is that you imagine your church as having authority above and beyond what scripture teaches. Authority over and above the word of God. Again as I said in another thread, replacing Christ with anything else, particularly authority, is the purest definition of Antichrist.
As far as your quotes are concerned, they are only valid so long as you agree with scripture. Same as your do called traditions. Those traditions that Paul and the Apostles agreed with scripture.
The Church has never pretended that its Authority reaches "over and above" Scripture.
It is in harmony with it.

As I showed you in my last post - the Authority given Christ's Church is GOD-given - and it is supreme earthly Authority.
"WHATEVER" His Church declares held bound or loosed on earth is held bound or loosed in Heaven (Matt. 16:18-19, 18:15-18, John 20:21-23). NOT because the Church says so but because it is guided by the Holy Spirit to ALL Truth (John 16:12-15). It is the Holy Spirit making these declarations through His Church - not men acting on their own.

If there have been sinful men in the history of the Church - that's on THEM - not the Holy Spirit.
And EVERY group has them - including yours . . .

NO, that is your corrupted bible, lying, changing the verse, into the water cult """"doctrine of devils."""""

See, we are not born again by water, .. we are born again by the Holy Spirit, when God accepts our faith.
Bottom line.
So...
Continue to avoid this using water, if you prefer.
Continue to pretend that God has to wait for you to get into the tub and get wet before He can apply the BLOOD ATONEMENT, if you need to keep playing a game of deception with yourself on this forum, and in life.
Nothing new regarding water cult theology and those who are deceived by it.
EVERY version says Water AND Spirit. YOU'RE trying to make it say, "By water and nothing else" - and it simply doesn't say that.
John 3:5 simply means that we are born again BY the Spirit through the means of Water Baptism.

This has been explained this to you ad nauseam - yet you keep resisting the Holy Spirit's enlightenment on the matter.
So, keep resisting God and see where that gets you . . .

Yea ok Mary... Sure! Whatever you want to believe. John's baptism was good enough for Jesus, but not the Apostles. Jesus didn't baptize anyone... So who else besides John (the greatest prophet ever by Jesus's admission) did it? If you could point me to where they were rebaptized with water, you'd have a point. But you can't.

In fact, there is no DIRECT scripture that says they were! I indirectly show through the scriptures that at least two of them were.
Oh goodness FHII!!! Let me be clear......ONCE AGAIN, the FACT is Jesus didn't need to be baptized!! He was baptized, with water, as an example for us to follow. If YOU don't want to follow His example...... then don't. Just stop telling other people they don't need to follow his example (Acts 20:29, 2 Timothy 4:4).

Scripture makes it clear that Johns baptism was NOT good enough for the Apostles!!! ONCE AGAIN, Scripture says that Johns baptism with water was for repentance. It was not the same as the baptism with water that the Apostles taught/practiced. That is why Paul re-baptized the 12 men spoken of in Acts 19:1-7. According to Paul those 12 men needed to be re-baptized even though they had been baptized by John! Based on that FACT logically the two Apostles that left John to follow Jesus would need to be re-baptized. YOU can deny facts and logic all you want to twist scripture into what YOU believe (which was taught to you by other men).....I won't agree with you or your teachers until what you teach is logical!!

Whose Spit?
WHOSE?

GOD's.
Jesus is God.
So, God as Christ in the Flesh did a creative miracle using the dirt He created to recreate eyes that are made originally out of DIRT that was used to make Adam's.

Can you SEE IT?

Wake up.

Open your EYES.
Lol...I like the "Open your EYES" quip....very cute!

None the less Behold....You never cease to amaze me! Time for some bible study:

Acts 5:15: Did the shadow heal?
Acts 19:12: Did the handkerchiefs heal?
Matthew 14:36: Did the hem heal?
James 5:14: Did the oil heal?
Exodus 17:12: Was it because Moses was able to keep the "magical" staff raised that the war was won?
Numbers 21:9: Did the bronze snake heal?

Can you see it? Were any of those items a part of Jesus or part of the earth?????

You should learn Scripture before you comment on Scripture!

Bible Study Mary

Thats not true.
There is no "power of the Holy Spirit" given to water cult priests that empowers them to do anything, much less literally change a cookie and juice into the Living Christ that you chew and swallow.

Stop talking cult nonsense.
Its offensive to God.
I think the 3,000 talked about in Acts 2:41 that joined the water cult are offended by you calling them nonsense and offending God.

I think Jesus is offended by you referring to the unleavened bread and wine that he used at The Last Supper as "cookie and juice"! The Church does not use cookies and juice when doing what he told us to do (communion with bread/wine). We use unleavened bread and wine just like He did. Do you do what he told you to do Behold?

Sooooooo now that you have been given the truth from this day forward if you continue to call it a "cookie and juice" you are just lying Or you are trying to be hurtful and divisive!

No, no magic.
Rather the power of the Holy Spirit.

Every time the Eucharist is celebrated, Jesus is really, substantially present there, upon the altar,
Offering Himself, for us, and to us..

The Groom, giving Himself to His bride, and she receiving Him... The two made one flesh..

And the fruit of that union? Every soul Baptised into Christ!!

What keeps you from the Feast?

Peace be with you!

Christ is risen!
Alleluia!

divine power! 1 cor 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:

24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.

25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

OK.... since refused to answer and to comply with your suggestion I read Acts 2 determine how a Christian gets baptized with the Holy Spirit. Here is what I found: ‘Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Which is what Christianity has been teaching for 2,000 years!! Baptismal regeneration!!
Well then you missed it. It happened before that.

That is why Paul re-baptized the 12 men spoken of in Acts 19:1-7. According to Paul those 12 men needed to be re-baptized even though they had been baptized by John!
Tou totally missed (or most likely: ignoring) the reason why even though I pointed it out to you twice.

Based on that FACT logically the two Apostles that left John to follow Jesus would need to be re-baptized.
The fact is scripture never says they were. Your ligic is lacking the difference between the 2 Apostles and the group in Acts 19, thus its faulty logic.

The biggest problem you and everyone else who is demanding water baptism as a requirement is that you fail to realize and/or acknowledge that there is more than one type of baptism in the Bible. I have documented that already and will not do it again for people who ignore things.

Oh goodness......Are you being serious right now???

First off you could have just told me several post ago that your theory is that we, as Christians, can receive the Spirit by just coming "together in one place".

Second off Peter is Satan (Matthew 16:23)! I use that analogy just to show how ridiculous it is to take one passage from Scripture, out of context, and twist it into.............Never mind....I'm not wasting my time anymore. Someone has tickled your ears....you fell for it....Good luck.

Nope, I didn't miss or ignore your interpretation the first time or second time. It just doesn't make sense because what you said twisted scripture.

Right right....my logic is lacking buy you, well you are more logical because your smarter than me. Let's go with your theory: Every new christian had to be baptized except The Apostles....got it...makes sense. Thank you.

Yup, for 2,000 years Christians have had this "problem" of "demanding water baptism". Stupid 2,000 year old teaching. Thank goodness your 500 year old teaching from the revolution came along....now we really know the truth.....which obviously God hid from us for 1,500 years....

Thanks for your time FHII...I am sincerely sorry I wasted mine!

There is no "power of the Holy Spirit"

The foolishness of God, is greater than the wisdom of men...

Who could have imagined it?
That our Creator would humble Himself and become man, that He might unite man with Himself!

The Spirit and the bride say, "Come." Let the hearer say, "Come." Let the one who thirsts come forward, and the one who wants it receive the gift of life-giving water.

Peace be with you!
