But we are warned about having genuine faith, not fake faith.

. Matthew 15:8 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

Isaiah 29:13 And so the Lord says, “These people say they are mine. They honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. And their worship of me is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.

James 2:26

For just as a body without a spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Peace!

That is real lazy of you.

Question. Did you "confess" Jesus?
Yes after I was saved
Did you know that confession is work?
I wouldn't call it work.
Did you make a "decision for Jesus"?
Did you know that thinking is work?

Now you're being silly.
Are you saved by any of these things?

Or, were you saved by God before you thought or confessed(God thought or confessed for you)?

No, actually God does all the saving. My part is only to allow him. So, no works involved.

Why do you constantly refer to a single verse and not respond the verses I post?

So, you were subconsciously saved.

Saved without any personal activity on your part.

Got it.

Nearly all verses you post are written to saints, not sinners.

You do not even understand what an Epistle is.

Romans 10 etc. is an AFFIRMATION of the saints' faith, not a do over for salvation of Roman sinners.

Now you're just insulting. And something written to believers can't be Soteriology? What?

Romans-Revelation was not written to a single sinner on earth.

It says things about sinners, but never, not 1 time, addresses them.

Shall I prove it by posting the greetings of all the Epistles?

Anyway, I need you to see this because that is the very foundation of rightly dividing the word of truth.

Also notice, the 27 books are placed in this specific order purposely....

Matt-John..... Gospels to sinners.

Acts....Teaching sinners how to be saved.

Romans - Rev....Teaching new saints how to stay saved.

It is so easy, it baffles the theologian.

I didn't save myself in any way. If I did, I would have reason to boast.
Not a physical word or a physical thought towards God from you?

Man, in Acts 2:38, they had to REPENT, be BAPTIZED in the name of Jesus Christ and physically speak in tongues.

You are cooler than they were.

Oh please. Romans lays out how to be saved as well as any book. All scripture is useful for instruction to all who truly attempt to understand it. You think God won't convict a sinner through reading Romans?

Nope.

The sinner cannot handle this....

3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

You really don't understand salvation. By grace through faith. Faith isn't me using my power to save myself. It's merely submitting to God and trusting him to do a work in me.

You are quoting from the Epistles fella.

It was an affirmation of their faith, not a reset of Acts 2:38.

You knew that. C'mon, man!

Of course real faith produces results.
Amen! In James 2:26, the comparison of the human spirit and faith converges around their modes of operation. The spirit (Greek pneuma) may also be translated "breath." As a breathless body exhibits no indication of life, so fruitless faith exhibits no indication of life.

Who taught you that only some parts of the Bible teach about salvation? That's bizarre. Acts Is history, not instructions, BTW.
Romans, however tells us all:
  1. Who needs salvation.
  2. Why we need salvation.
  3. How God provides salvation.
  4. How we receive salvation.
  5. The results of salvation.

And yet I always give scripture to substantiate my pov....so you're saying that there is terrible theology in the holy scriptures.

No, im saying that you can post many verses, and its meaningless, as you do it, every time you are here as proof.

See, Paul says...>>"you are justified by faith".

THe water cult teaches, "you are justified by water". "water is required for Salvation".

Thats Jehovah's Witness Theology that you are TEACHING.
Understand?
Pay attention, justbyfaith.

Paul says...>"Jesus did not send me to water baptize".

God says, "believe on my Son, and i will give you the new birth".

The water cult then denies this, and tries to replace all that with Water., which is what you are doing, which is what the JW's Teach.

So, if you cut and past the entire NT for us again.... and yet, you are using these verses to try to replace Justification by Faith with "water has the power to save" as YOU TEACH, as the JW's teach..... then all your verses are actually just using God's name in vain.

Or, were you saved by God before you thought or confessed(God thought or confessed for you)?

They were born again when God accepted their Faith, washed them in the blood of Jesus, and gave them the new birth.
Same as everyone who is saved.

Water does not have any part in Salvation.

John preached this?...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

John preached "repent", but its Old Testament context. = Repent of sin.

After Jesus was resurrected, the NEW TESTAMENT replaced the OLD.

So, when Peter preached "Repent", its now defined by the New Covenant, = Repent of UNBELIEF.

To repent of unbelief is to have FAITH in Christ.
God accepts FAITH to Justify you.

"faith is accepted as righteousness". "Grace through faith".

No water required.
