The love of money is idol worshipping in its most relevant and practical form. Money can replace God. Money can mimic God and give us (false) illusions of security, safety, love and happiness. We can begin to trust in money to the point of confusing it with God and loving it more than God.

Exodus 20:23 ? Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

This commandment is telling us not to make money our Go; This is idol worshipping.

Matthew 6:24-34 ?No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

We make money into our God when we follow worldly principles and philosophies instead of biblical ones. Principles from the bible would actually cause us to give our money away and not to amass it.

We make money into our God when we seek after it instead of God. We spend our time and energy seeking this money because we lack faith that God will provide for us. We diligently look to money for security and not to God.

Matthew 6 continued?.25 ?Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

In this verse, Jesus is explaining that life is about more than physical food and clothing. Our focus should be feeding on the word of God and clothing our spiritual body with righteousness (which is the words and teachings of Jesus). We should be caring about our spiritual life.

Our concern should not be on our physical lives here in the world which is short and will pass away. Why are we investing in something so temporary? If we put seeking and keeping the Holy Spirit in our lives our first and only priority, God will add all the things we need to us. He will provide for us as He promised.

based on my experience once you sin then you will be tempted to sin again and then continue to sin then as you continue to sin you will start to love sin then comes the evolution you want higher level of sin for the reason of boredom and other more things

you have the money to live a just life but tempted and grab it because it is easier to do so the more money you have the less percentage of money you possess you can give up the more money you have the more money you want

I am sure it is super hard to have a lot of money and use it completely for God's kingdom with a pure heart! But for those who amass it with a pure heart..., like all Jacob's cattle/land/ etc. Like all Job's 10 times what he had before, and Solomon's grand kingdom, I am sure they were also very generous!!! Bible doesn't describe them as idol worshippers at least. It is possible! We shouldn't judge people when we do not know what they sowed into the harvest.

I am sure if the wisemen didn't save up, they wouldn't have been able to give Jesus gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

I think it can be crazy hard. But God wants Christians to prosper! Not just spiritually, but I believe physically too.

We must listen and follow Jesus' example and not Jacob's.

John 4:12-14 - Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

1 John 2:6 also says - Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

It does not say to live as Jacob lived; we must live as Christ did.

Jesus stated in Luke 9:58 - Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”

Jesus gave up all his possessions for God.

Like all Job's 10 times what he had before, and Solomon's grand kingdom, I am sure they were also very generous!!! Bible doesn't describe them as idol worshippers at least.

Deuteronomy 17:14-20 - When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you and have taken possession of it and settled in it, and you say, “Let us set a king over us like all the nations around us,” 15 be sure to appoint over you a king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your fellow Israelites. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not an Israelite. 16 The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the Lord has told you, “You are not to go back that way again.” 17 He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.

Yet Solomon did all these things.

1 Kings 11:4 - As Solomon grew old, his wives turned his heart after other gods, and his heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God, as the heart of David his father had been.

Solomon absolutely became an idol worshipper!

It is possible! We shouldn't judge people when we do not know what they sowed into the harvest.

1 Corinthians 5:12 - It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning.

We are meant to judge those who are Christians and those written of in the Bible.

I am sure if the wisemen didn't save up, they wouldn't have been able to give Jesus gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

Follow Jesus, not the wise men; and this is what Jesus said.

Luke 12:33 - Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

I think it can be crazy hard. But God wants Christians to prosper! Not just spiritually, but I believe physically too.

This belief is contrary to the scriptures and what Jesus taught. He never told anyone they would be rich. He said God knows our needs and He would provide.

Acts 14:22 - strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

Mark 10:24-25 - The disciples were amazed at his words. But Jesus said again, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

Luke 14:33 - In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be my disciples.

We are meant to go through the suffering of giving up all for Jesus, otherwise, he does not consider us his disciples.

It's interesting that money is such a common weakness, but it isn't universal. I've known Christians who seem to never think about these things. They may struggle in other areas, but they seem to be free of this "love".

I think it is important to know yourself and your own weaknesses and to be able get the support you need to hold you accountable. We should all be cautious in these areas. The love of money has destroyed many a marriage, family, church and life and the antidote is keeping things in a Godly perspective and having others in our lives who will help us with that.

While inflation and rising prices are a big concern today.

We can look back in history almost 2,000 years ago to see the roman empire struggling with inflation under the devaluing denarius.

The best chance for people to protect themselves from inflation and economic crisis, is them making a better effort to be informed and educated on topics like finance and money.

This is as true today as it was 2,000 years ago.

Some sensible advice from Dickens' Micawber in 'David Copperfield'..:)-
"Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure nineteen nineteen and six, result happiness.
Annual income twenty pounds, annual expenditure twenty pounds ought and six, result misery."
