Jesus said, “The bread that I will give you is my flesh” (John 6:51); and further stated that, “unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you will not have life within you” (John 6:53). Then at the Last Supper, He made an offering of His sacrificial body and blood by the following acts. He thanked His Father, took bread, broke it and gave it to His disciples to eat, and said, “This is my (sacrificial) body”; and then took the cup and gave it them to drink and said, “This is my (sacrificial) blood”. (Matthew 26:26-29). He then commanded us do this (re-enter his sacrificial offering) as often as possible so that we will always keep His Spirit in our heart (Luke 22:19); and express His sacrifice in our thoughts, words and actions (1 Corinthians 11:26). Paul emphasizes the real presence of Jesus in the bread and wine at the Lord’s Supper, by stating that, those who eats the bread and drink the cup of the Lord unworthily are guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord (Corinthians 11:27). Therefore, when ever the Lord’s Supper is celebrated, it fulfills Malachi’s prophesy (Malachi 1:11) which stated that, from the rising of the sun to its setting, in every place a pure sacrifice will be offered to God.

Hi there.....I have heard many pastors and other 'christians' profess that if you have sinned somehow, or are living 'in sin' you are to be refused the Lord 'Body and blood, because that is what it is to take the elements in an unworthy manner.

Well that is not how the Lord showed it to me...We are to receive the 'elements' , discerning The Body. In other words, we are to realize that we are all part of the same body, that we had ALL fallen short of the glory of God, and that we ALL needed The Lord to sacrifice Himself in order to save us.

So if you are in a home group or in a church somewhere and you get out the bread and the wine ( or grape juice as some prefer ) , you had better not be sitting there feeling somehow more deserving , than the other members.........Most certainly, you do not have the right to deny anyone access to The Lord's grace and forgiveness.

You may see someone you KNOW hasn't done the right thing ( according to your perception of right and wrong ) lately, so somehow that makes you feel that you have a right to the elements, but they don't.....You think you are doing God a service, in denying the elements to this person.
Don't forget Paul was killing Christians, believing that he was doing service to God.........These days some believe that they are doing a service to God, by blowing up abortion clinics, killing doctors who do abortions or by condemning or even killing gay people.

Just how perverted can we get??????? Funny how some Christians really really believe that it is the gays that are perverted..............Jesus made it quite clear that you cannot overcome evil by doing more evil, but rather that it is love that overcomes evil.

If a human parent can overcome his/her own disgust, disappointment, anger or whatever they're feeling against their own son/daughter, forgive them and then continue to love them ( even if they are gay ) , then how on earth can we even begin to think that God cannot.

Do we really believe ourselves more capable of love than God?????? Is our love stronger than God's ????? Really people, surely you can see that there is something very wrong with this , something really wrong with our perception of God's love.

There is a huge difference between who you are and what you do........Of course there are things people do, that we cannot accept as righteous, but it's the who, not the do that God loves, and He proclaims us righteous by FAITH, NOT BY WORKS ( behavior and actions ).

Anyway, sorry that got a bit long........So, some food for thought.......Now don't take my word or anyone else's word for this....Seek and ask The Lord yourself....Get Him to show you, so that you only get the truth, not a mixture.

In His Glorious Love Pia
