Does anyone want to share their thoughts on the deadly wound of Revelation?Rev 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.Rev 13:12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

I would be delighted.First, I regard the beast of Chapter 13 as the antichrist or "that Wicked" mentioned elsewhere in Scripture. That the beast represents the person and not the political or governmental order of his kingdom (as some have interpreted it) is, I think, evident in that the beast is given power from the dragon, Satan, as is that Wicked in 2 Thessalonians 2:8-9.The interpretation of one of his heads being "wounded to death" has been taken to mean that the Roman Empire received a "deadly wound" that will be "healed" when it is resurrected into the political scene. There is another view that states that the antichrist will himself die and be brought back to life. I support the latter view, when I have taken into account other passages in Revelation:And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. ~Revelation 11:7The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. ~Revelation 17:8Now, it seems clear to me that, even though 17:8 is four chapters after Chapter 13, that the beast's deadly wound is directly related to him "ascending out of the bottomless pit," since both are described as invoking "wonder" in people. It appears that the order of thinking is: the beast existed ("the beast that was..."), was killed by the "deadly wound" ("...and is not..."), and ascended out of the abyss ("...and yet is," or better, "yet will be"). In other words, he will be resurrected.By whom? The dragon Satan himself--which isn't that hard to believe, when one considers that he is given the key to the bottomless pit elsewhere in Revelation (9:1, 9:11). God will give him the power to resurrect the beast, Satan will take credit for that power, and the beast will receive worship for being the target of that power. That, to me, appears to be the logical interpretation of the passage.~Bet

Revelation 17:9And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. This verse here gives us exactly what the heads of this seven headed beast (that is talked about in Revelation 13) stands for. Obviously, a mountain cannot be wounded to death, so we have to dig deeper. From Revelation 13:2: Revelation 13:2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. The dragon, of course, already being established as being Satan. Here it is clear that this beast is some sort of governmental symbol. Seven being the number associated with spiritual perfection and 10 being associated with ordinal perfection. The message is clear, this beast will appear wonderful to a whole lot of people. This system is going to be perfect from a worldly viewpoint. Getting back to the question - the digression was somewhat necessary to establish what the first beast is - we're beginning to get a picture of what the seven heads are. The seven heads are the seven earthly kings. The only thing that can die a mortal death is a mortal. Satan won't die until the final death - that which is spiritual. Satan will shock the world by reviving a man from death. Everyone poor soul who doesn't know the word will go whoring after him when this happens. Think about it. "The perfect government, a miraculous healing - what are those crazy Christians talking about - this is the christ!" Mark 13:22For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. Satan is the false Christ and the false prophet.

The deadly wound is the falling apart of the one world system that satan will heal(make whole again) when he comes pretending to be Christ. The one-world system (first beast {Rev 13:1}) which is in place in the end-time, suffers some unstated catastrophic event (deadly wound). The second beast (satan, antichrist) appears on the earth with his angels and mends the rift thus solidifying the one-world system (first beast) under his direct control. The Elect of God resist this system all the way, are arrested (probably as enemies of God, the false god antichrist who is no god!) and testify at councils against antichrist. The two Witnesses of God {Rev chapter 11} witness against satan's one-world system which now worships satan as the impostor christ, the antichrist. The world believes that satan is in fact the prophesied Messiah and most worship him in ignorance - at least at first. The antichrist kills the Two Witnesses of God thus violating the absolute order given in among other places, in: {Rev 9:4} "...but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads." Three and a half (there's that number again!) days later Almighty God raises the Two Witnesses back to life and they ascend into Heaven in front of the whole world. We are now within one literal hour of the Apocalyptic cascade of events that constitute the end of this flesh age - the Second Advent of Jesus Christ Son of God with great wrath and fury. Satan is bound in the Bottomless pit for one-thousand years - the Millennium, then the loosing of satan again from the Bottomless Pit to test those taught in the Millennium, satan and those following him encircle the saints of God and prepare to destroy them, but God intervenes and devours His enemies, satan is cast into the Lake of Fire, then comes judgment day, those who have not overcome are cast into the Lake of Fire where satan is, the new Heaven descends to earth, the Lake of Fire is dried up with it's inhabitants so thoroughly blotted out that there is no memory of their very existence even, and then God dwells with His children (us) on this earth as He did before the fall of satan and the rebellion in the first earth age. All that offends is gone, and the age is eternal. Praise God!

First you have to know what the beast of Revelations 13 is, but the deadly wound could well be when the invaders of Rome accepted the beast as the new faith.

I agree very interesting concept I found lots of stuff where they were considering moving to Iraq but this was before the civil war there went crazyI dont see Iraq a viable option any time soon. So I would not be at all surprised to see this come to frutation.
