And the crunch will be coming indeed .
Let us all be in prayer asking direction from God .
And let the gospel continue along with all sound doctrine .
Times will only continue to get worse and worse . More deception and persecutions shall arise .
You all are loved . Let us be staying refreshed in our bibles and growing in grace .

Some times I wonder where the trust in God is.
Recently watched a Christian program, Jim Baker.
Advertising and selling pure water, generators, and many more end time gimmicks.
I am just shaking my head when I see these people using the Bible to sell junk.
But I guess people buy it.

Many thanks for sharing your experience and insight.
Butski, perhaps you're missing that fact that ...
It is God who makes it a safe-haven (if we follow His will, guidance, etc.).
Just like the safe haven within ourselves made by God. We can still mess it up even as Adam and Eve messed up the haven God put them in at the start. I am not saying not to do it. I am saying that like churches or assemblies begun by sold out surrendered men and women of God, a little leaven within the group still has too often leavened the whole lump. Have a care. I am praying for your situation so that it will not go by the same route!

Yes let us be praying my friend .
I like what paul also told titus and timothy about appointing elders and such .
To help look out for the flock . The doctrine is real simple if we just read it from the bible .
If leaven sets in , God will surely move his flock by reminders from elders or even anyone .
Its letting leaven in that becomes the problem . I say to keep it simple . Just learn the scriptures and letters well . If JESUs taught it
embrace it on the heart . And let us learn the letters of the apostels as well . Look at the focus .
The key thing is there hope was not in this world , it was not about what can i gain or get in this world .
The heart should say what i can i do for MY LORD who has saved me and what can i do for my brethren .
And let us hold the pattern the early church taught . I mean every warning they gave , as well as GOD gave
was for the good of the church , as well as reminding them of the hope we have in Christ and to endure faithful to Him .
Let the LORD be praised my friend .

God , in great mercy and love , warned the seven churches .
YES i said in love . Is it not better to be chastened By GOD than to be left to our own demise .
Or is it not better to be warned by GOD to repent or else , or just be destroyed by that same GOD .
Think about it . IF GOD didnt love , HE would not warn . HE would have just destroyed .
However , and yeah this is highly important we know this , We better take the warnings VERY Serious .
For God will do as HE says . IF the wicked repents , GOD will forgive them ,
if a lamb errs and repents God restores it . FOR GOD desires not the death of the wicked , but rather they repent .
BUT HE cannot deny His self , His righteousness . If one refuses to HEED HIM , to their own demise
God will judge that one . I have found that every word of GOD is so good for the soul .
I mean from every promise to every outright dire warning . ITS GOOD that we heed HIM . HE knows what is best for us .
HE does care for us and does not desire the death of any . But if reject HIM , and wont heed HIM , HE will do as HE has said .
SO let us just learn His doctrine . The doctrine inspired by GOD . Learn the JESUS of the bible . HAVE great HOPE in GOD .
HAVE HOPE in CHRIST . And understand that GOD who loves us knows far more what is best for us .
The persecutions that shall arise , GOD will work to the good of those who do love Him .
JESUS warned us in this world ye shall have tribulation .
Paul said that through much tribualtion do we enter into the kingdom .
That we are actually appointed unto tribulation . read second thess the first chapter real well .
Look what peter says about suffering for His name sake . And that if judgment begins at us , what shall be the end of those who reject Him .
Let us be praying for one another . The time of relative peace in western socities is fast ending . We will soon
enter into the very same trials as others have before us . And GOD was with them , just as HE has always been through all
ages . HE will be with us . Our hope is in HIM , the prize awaits us at our end . JESUS IS OUR HOPE . LET THE LORD
be magnified in us . as peter would say as well .

I would suggest you be careful about sharing your location with believers as well. Those in your own church could well be your most bitter enemies when the crunch comes.
Hey, someone with some wisdom ... what a refreshing change!
Thanks for sharing.

From here going forward ... it will be all about hearing God's still small voice.
Or, you simply won't make it ... So says the Lord (to us repeatedly)!

The Lord has told us to buy three (3) generators, and He says
He will be showing us when and where a good deal is.

During all of the years I was on many Christian forums,
I experienced many people who chose to reject NT verses!
Especially those verses which condemned those
in the church who were involved in habitual sin.
They preferred the so-called OSAS eternal security verses.
But, praise God, they can repent and return to Him!

So, I am not the least bit surprised to encounter people
on Christian forums today who reject the fact that
God personally speaks to His born-again people.
My goodness, He even speaks to non-believers,
especially when He is calling them to Himself
(I experienced this myself big-time in 1980.)

The Bible does not suggest that believers head for the hills,
adopt a “fortress mentality,” and start stockpiling food, water.
Buy generators and survival equipment.

So, the question is "what exactly did God tell you."
I believe He would never tell you anything that would contradict scripture.

And why does He only tell you and not other Christians.
Think about it.

Peter asks, “Since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God,
because of which the heavens will be dissolved,
being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?” (II Peter 3:10-12).

Hey, someone with some wisdom ... what a refreshing change!
Thanks for sharing.
Wisdom is knowing what the Lord wants of us and what He intends to do about the current world situation.

Psalms 40:4-11 Happy is the one who puts his trust in the Lord and keeps away from arrogant and deceitful people.
Say to the Lord: Here I am, my desire is to do Your will. Your Law is in my heart and I proclaim God’s faithfulness and His saving power to all the congregation. You Lord, will not withhold Your tender care for me, may Your love and truth forever keep me safe.

Psalms 40:12-17 Now Lord, we are poor and needy, troubles and misfortune assail us from every side and courage fails us. Let all those who seek our downfall be turned back in disgrace. Let all those who think they have got the upper hand, be confounded and put to shame. But let all who seek the truth be jubilant and rejoice in Your saving power, we will forever cry: All glory to the Lord!

Psalms 43:1-5 Uphold our cause, O God, give judgement for Your people against the godless nations, rescue us from those liars and evil men. For we look to You for refuge, why must we wait so long; oppressed by our foes?

Send out Your light and truth to guide us, then we will come to the holy Land, to the place of Your altar and we shall praise our Redeemer with gladsome songs. We will wait patiently for Your deliverance, our Lord and Savior.
Ref: REB.

Every person who desires to do the Lord's will, all those who seek the truth, that is: every true Christian, will be delivered and guided into the holy Land, soon after the Lord's Day of wrath has cleansed it., Revelation 6:12-17, 2 Peter 3:7, + THEN: Jeremiah 31:7-14. Ezekiel 34:11-16, Isaiah 35, Romans 9:24-26, +

And why does He only tell you and not other Christians.
He tells us that He IS drawing others to be in fellowship with us.
And this includes some non-believers, for they will be necessary
for our survival. I.E. this is one way the Lord will be protecting us.

If a horse is unequally yoked with a mule they wont plow .
Christains need not to be unequally yoked together with unbelievers . We are to simply witness to the world the glorious
gospel of Christ .

I can't help wondering if this is really the way God wants Christians to behave as His witnesses in the world.
It may not be yet, but the time will come when witnessing will be a pointless exercise. In fact even suicidal. "You shall be hated of all Nations for My names sake" doesn't sound conducive to a happy relationship.
