It's really funny for me personally, but some of my most treasured experiences with the Holy Spirit came right around this topic of the rapture. Personal encounters. It took Him three years to systematically, verse by verse, destroy my pretty pre-trib "proof" sermon :) it was a good sermon too! Lots of people said it was! Lol

and it took three more years after that for Him to finally give me an outline of what the alternative is....the real resurrections as He has appointed them.

it was a long period of confusion and uncertainty....but I wouldn't trade it for the world now.. .precious times....

Therefore, by the example showed in your testimony, it seems you were taken out or caught up out of the powers of the rulers of the darkness of this world, taken from the spiritual wickedness that stands yet in high places, even in the same heavenly places were the true believers are in - Ephesians 1:v.3.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Put on the whole armour of GOD, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. Ephesians 6:v.11-12

The fact that Satan is still in heavenly places, this is terrible, very terrible, as is showed in Revelation 12:v.3-4. In fact our battle is and will be against three unclean spirits like frogs-Revelation 16:v.13-16-, even against the red Dragon walking to and fro in the current heavenly place yet for now, and many many will be deceived by him and his messengers, mainly by his TAIL.

TAIL? Who are them? The Word of GOD reveals whom they are by the prophet Isaiah - Isaiah 9:v.14 to 16 - The Word is GOD -

Matthew 24:v.40 to 50

40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Rewards to the one who shall be taken

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

Verse 35 - 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

On the other hand, they which were left will cry bitterly

But and if an evil servant shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; -that is with the "temulentus"-from latin-
The lord of the servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, and shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. - The perdition is eternal, because there will not be more any sacrifice for salvation of souls. The sacrifice of JESUS was the last sacrifice for salvation of souls.

In Christ JESUS, KING of kings (kings made by Him), and LORD of lords

Oseas, your understanding of Mathew 24, 38- 50 is very different than mine. In Noah's example (which Jesus is pointing to) the wicked were taken out by the flood...death, judgement. Noah, the righteous one, was left behind.

that was actually one of the passages He completely uprooted my understanding of. The "Left Behind" series assumes the "left behind" are the wicked ones and the "taken" are righteous.....that passage actually says exactly the opposite....

... God has not appointed believers to wrath
There is an enormous difference between the persecution of the antichrist
(which comes soon) ... and the wrath of Father God (which comes at the end).
True believers will NOT experience the wrath of God ...
except IF they are protected by the Lord in a post-trib rapture deal.

Matthew 24:37-41 NKJV — “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, “and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. “Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.

In Jesus' example, the flood came and TOOK the wicked in death. I don't believe He meant that understanding to be reversed.....180 degrees in the very next sentences. The "taken" are judged.....we got fooled. That passage is one of the most powerful proofs that the rapture is a big mistake, Lahaye and Jenkins got it backward....

shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were not taken from Nebuchadnezzar's fire, they were protected THROUGH it. Noah was not taken from the flood, he was protected through it. God often seems to choose to take us through the fire instead of preserving us from it.

After going through this whole thread again and
reading all posts about Christian Safe Heaven in British Columbia,
the word "cult" comes up in my mind.

I have lots of questions about this project, specially because
I live in the area.

When this project starts and the location is revealed I might go and check it out.

Don't take my post the wrong way.
Just saying.

One thing modern, western Christianity has failed to teach much about is the millennial reign. Anyone ever stopped to consider who will populate the earth in that 1000 year season when He is physically present, ruling the nations of this world from Jerusalem?

Oseas, your understanding of Mathew 24, 38- 50 is very different than mine. In Noah's example (which Jesus is pointing to) the wicked were taken out by the flood...death, judgement. Noah, the righteous one, was left behind.

Jostler, my point is literally linked strictly to what was preached by JESUS, specifically the rewards of the one who shall be taken, as being one heir of GOD's kingdom, and, on the other hand, the one who will be left and cry bitterly in JESUS's coming, because the perdition is eternal, there will not be more any sacrifice for salvation of souls. The sacrifice of JESUS was the last sacrifice for salvation of souls.

You would, if wanted, associate the message with the parable of ten virgins which will fulfill LITERALLY very soon, much probably in this decade, the last decade of the Devil's world. The devil's world is already in an initial state of agony. GOD will destroy them which destroy the earth-Revelation 11:v.18- the Word is GOD.

By the way, the events of last week of Daniel's 70th weeks --last seven years-- is WITHIN this last decade of Devils's world.

What is the message for GOD's people in the current time? Its is:

Get ready

Go, My people, withdraw for a little while.....
Isaiah 26:20-21.....until the Lords wrath has passed. The Lord is coming to punish the wicked and apostate peoples of the earth.

Isaiah 27:1 On that Day, the Lord will punish with His powerful sword Leviathan, that twisting serpent.

Isaiah 27:2-5 On that day, sing of the fruitful vineyard – I the Lord am it’s keeper. I tend it constantly, but I get no fruit from it. If only it were briars and thorns, then I would not hesitate to destroy it. But if they [Israelites, now every faithful Christian person] come to Me for refuge, I will let them make peace with Me.

Isaiah 27:6 In time to come, Jacobs posterity will prosper and Israel will flourish. They will fill the whole earth with fruit. Matthew 21:43

Isaiah27:7-9 Has the Lord struck Israel, as He has killed their enemies? The atonement for Jacob’s guilt is made by their sojourn in exile. All the idol worshipping altars and sacred poles are destroyed.

Isaiah 27:10 The fortified settlement is abandoned. Animals graze there and the trees are dead, good only for firewood.

Isaiah 27:11 For this is a people without understanding, so their Maker will not show them favor.

Isaiah 27:12 In that day, the Lord will thresh the grain from the Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt and you, Israelites will be gathered one by one. On that Day, a great trumpet will sound and those who were exiled in Assyria and Egypt will come to worship the Lord in Jerusalem.
Ref: REB, NIV some verses abridged

V 20-21 All righteous people, faithful Christians who love the Lord, need to prepare for a time, soon after the Lords Day of vengeance, when the Call comes to gather into the Promised Land. Isaiah 35:1-10, Ezekiel 34:11-16, Romans 9:24-26

V 1 The Lords Day of wrath and vengeance against His enemies, who are led by Satan allegorized as a serpent. Isaiah 30:27-28

V 2-5 The Lord’s vineyard: the ten tribes of Israel. If they acknowledge and trust God, He will save them.

V 6 All of Israel, plus those grafted in who are judged righteous and settled into the Land, will be the Light to the nations. Isaiah 60:3, Romans 9:24-26

V 7-9 The sins of the forefathers are expiated by the exile. Isaiah 10:27

V 10 The Land, cleared and swept clean after the Day of vengeance. The trees are killed because of the fire judgement, a Coronal Mass Ejection sunstrike. Isaiah 30:25-30, Joel 1:15-20, Isaiah 32:12-14

V 11 This refers to the current inhabitants of the Land. Jeremiah 12:14

V 12 On that day, all the area of Greater Israel will be judged. A remnant will be saved. But then the surviving exiles from Assyria [the 10 Northern tribes] and Egypt [Judah] will regather in the Land, along with every faithful Christian from every race, nation and language. Isaiah 66:18b-21, Zechariah 9:14-17, Revelation 7:9

Joster, what matters is to bring for our time the warnings of JESUS about signs which precede His coming, although He had used examples of ancient events occurred around four/five millennia ago.

About the Noah's days I have posted in other sites the follow message:

NOAH's DAY - ONE OF THE JESUS's RETURN SIGNALS

Having JESUS cited the days of Noah as a sign of the proximity of His coming or very close return, and also of the end of the present world, the Devil's world, I delved deeply to interpret or understand the fundamentals or reasons for an analogy between Noah's day and the modern and apocalyptic days that we still live in. I was surprised by the extent and depth of what JESUS revealed and prophesied as his signal of His glorious and wonderful return.

Noah's days is linked with a lot, but a lot, of water, in fact a sea of waters. And now, in our time, in our days, where are the waters or sea of waters as in Noah's day?

1st Point

The Holy Scriptures reveals: Revelation 17: v. 15

15 - And he -the angel of the LORD - said unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Ah! the current world population is approximately 7.8 billion people. Oh no doubt that this gigantic population represents a sea of waters if we base it on Revelation 17: v.15.

2nd Point

The Holy Scriptures reveals: Revelation 13: v.1

1 - And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a Beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

As we can see, from the midst of the waters or of the sea -i.e. from the midst of peoples , and nations, and multitudes and tongues, rose up out an apocalyptic Beast as is described in the verse above. Now, the Beast of sea has an origin, he rose up from a people: what's people, what's his origin? Beyond these details, John saw when the Beast rose up out of the the midst of the peoples (of the sea), let say, the birth of the Beast in his own time, around 2,000 years ago. This important fact gives subsidies for a third point.

3rd Point

The Holy Scriptures reveals: Genesis 1:v.21ASV

21 - And God created the great sea-monsters, and every living creature that moves, wherewith the waters swarmed, after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind: and God saw that it was good. This prophetic message of Genesis it began to be fulfilled in the days of John, or after the ascension of JESUS.

We need to understand that the material things are figures of spiritual things, there are countless examples in Scriptures about this. The great sea-monster of 7 heads, and 10 crowned horns, and a name of blasphemy, as it was showed to John, actually it is a monstrous religious system whose roots began to develop in the beginning of the fifth DAY, a day of 1,000 years-4,001 to 5,000, that is, after the ascension of JESUS at around 4,033 or 33 AD.

But politically, the Beast of sea, as was seen by John, it was likeness unto a leopard, and to a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion-Rev. 13:v.2- representing the three kingdoms prior to the Roman empire as is written in Daniel 7: v.4 to 6 -check it out- which at the time of the appearance of the Beast from the sea, had been under the dominion of the Roman empire. (Interesting detail: Daniel shows in his description the three kingdoms as being represented sequentially by lion, and bear, and leopard, but John looking to the past, he saw the inverse, i.e. leopard, and bear, and lion, or from the last to the first, it's very interesting).

4th Point

It is very important to know that the religious body of the monster, I mean the body of Beast of sea, was not birthed with its 7 heads, and 10 horns, and a name of blasphemy, O no. The Beast of sea, as the years went by, developed itself, its body was growing and formed the 7 heads after centuries, evidently. As the years passed, the body of the beast developed, and its body grew and formed the 7 heads over time. This is the current stage of the religious Beast today-year 2021.

In this present time, the MAN Beast of sea does not have the 10 horns linked to him yet, this will occur only from now on, when we enter within the last week-Daniel 9:v.27, more precisely when the Beast of the earth(Revelation 13:v.11) gives his Power, and his Throne, and great Authority to the Beast of sea as is written in Revelation 13:v.2.

5th Point and conclusion

What was exposed above are about the movements of the waters over time -generations and generations- like waves of the waters over two millenniums, and until our days. JESUS said to the Jews: John 2:v.19 and 21: 19- Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. 21- But he spake of the temple of His body -the Church-.

This will be fulfilled LITERALLY from now on, it means in the end of the times.

Another interesting reference and in detail: Job 38:v.8 to 11

8 Who shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb? (This event occurred after the rebellion in Eden - Genesis 6: v.1to5, and Jude 1:v.6, and John 8:v.44, and Matthew 23:v.33-35)

9 When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,

10 And brake up for it my decreed place, and set bars and doors,

11 And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed. (Here there is a revelation how GOD will stop the waters, I meant the generations)

Luke 20:v.35-36 combined with 1 Corinthians 15:v.51-58 and Philippians 3:v.20-21

35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection.

In Christ JESUS, KING of kings (kings made by Him), and LORD of lords

P.S.
Whereas Scripture - Revelation 17:v.15 - says waters are peoples, and nations, and multitudes, and tongues (many tongues), and it was written almost two thousand years ago,
and whereas each generation is one wave, rising and growing above the waters, and currently reached 7.8 billion people, by allegory a sea of waters, then we can understand that it will cause a huge or a gigantic wave, a tsunamis, thus, the Word - the Word is GOD, will apply and fulfill Job 38:v.8-11 automatically, LITERALLY, mainly the verse 11: "Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed.

Interesting signs of the return of JESUS to his people - the Church

The Bible verses below are among the most cited in recent times. What lesson can we learn from them?

Luke 17: v. 26-27

26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of man.

27 They ate, drank, married, gave in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark, the flood came and destroyed them all.

As we can see, the society of that time had a "modus vivendi", let's say common, natural, or a normal way of life, "They ate, drank, married, gave in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark".

If we analyze it well, we would say that the ''modus vivendi'' of society in recent times, say around years 1,950 to 1,985, was similar to society in the days of Noah. It was common to eat and drink due to the development of large malls at that time, it was common the celebration and weddings, and the existence of strong family ties, as in the days of Noah or days before the flood.

But both society, be at the time of Noah - Genesis 6:v.1-8, be the recent society around years 1,950 to 1,985, as time went by, began to deteriorate morally, especially among let's say "the believers", called children of God, who were mixing their seed with the seed of the evil ones, giving rise to a corrupt and evil society, most likely due to the proliferation of adulterers, and adulteresses. And the punishment came, yes, as in the flood when it came and only 8 people were saved by the Ark.

Comparing the society of the days of Noah or days before the flood, with a posterior society existent in Sodom and Gomorrah, and neighboring cities, at the time of Lot, Abraham's nephew, let's see the differences, according Scriptures below:

JESUS said: Luke 17: v.28-30

28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;

29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

30 Even thus shall it be in the day (in the current time) when the Son of man is revealed.

~~~~~~society of Noah's day ~~~~~~~~~ society of Sodom/Gomorrah
~~~~~~ they ate and drank ~~~~~~~~~~~~ they ate and drank

they married and gave in marriage ~~~~~~ they bought and sold

~~~~~~~~~ -x-x-x- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ they planted and built
~~~~~~~~~ -x-x-x
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~no marriage among the sodomites

As we can see the differences are great between the society of Noah's day, and days of Sodom and Gomorrah, and neighboring cities. See, the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly-Genesis 13:v.13. They were wicked, and corrupt, and immoral exceedingly, There was no marriage between them, the society was polluted of prostitutes, and sodomites or effeminate(gays), the society was infested of prostitution and great sinners. The just Lot was vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds-2 Peter 2:v.7-8 combined with Jude 1:v.6-7.

That said:

We can conclude that the recent society similar to the Noah's day lived around years 1,950 to l,985AD, since then and until today have developed itself a society similar to the society of Sodom and Gomorrah, a wicked, and corrupt, and violent society, large proliferation of prostitution, same-sex marriage, use of resources for transgender mutation, at last a countless satanic forms of transformation for a exceedingly sinful life.

JESUS left very clear, saying: And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, commits adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
Matt.19:v.9

The God's view of societies and His providence- 2 Peter 2:v.4-6

4 .. God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto Judgment;

5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

God's providence in the current time and it is already running

It will not be different now and God will destroy the world of Devil as a whole, by entire, and the works that are therein will be burned with everlasting FIRE, for the FIRE never shall be quenched, their worm will never die, and the FIRE will never be quenched.

JESUS said: Luke 20:v.35-36

35 But they which shall be accounted worthy to obtain that world-next world, the Kingdom of GOD-,and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage:

36 Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of GOD, being the children of the resurrection.

In Christ JESUS, KING of kings (kings made by Him) and LORD of lords

This is like going through stuff instead of being raptured out of it.

So, this is confirmation to you from the Lord himself that Christians
will have to go through the tribulation.

Well I guess we can't argue about THAT.
The Lord told you, end of story. :)

Revelation 18 v.1 to 5

1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Oseas, unfortunately, the point is that scripture paints the whole Left Behind idea as opposite of what pre-trib belivers have been taught to believe. It matters a great deal to get that reversed, aligned with what the Word actually says. If the whole pre-trib belief paradigm is founded on an idea the Bible says is a lie.....(left behind are the wicked ones)' then it calls a re-opened eye to reconsider what the Bible actually does teach about resurrection. I suspect the water is muddy enough now the topic may be too cluttered to continue in this thread. It's actually a bit off topic anyway considering the Op's subject. But, you missed the simple point....the wicked are TAKEN by God, in judgement....death. they are not the blessed of God living under His divine protection. The "left behind" are the righteous. It matters....its difficult to get to discussing what we, the left behind will actually be doing in that season, until we fix that idea of who is what in Jesus' examples

That is what some say. Many others including myself believe that it is not a theory but a Bible doctrine. The reason being that God has not appointed believers to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ.
You are missing one key word my friend . God has not appointed believers to HIS wrath .
But in this world and by men we are appointed unto tribulation . The beast has power to overcome and kill who ............SAINTS .
God , HIS wrath , every time it is mentioned in revelation , its coming against those who took the mark , etc
Against the beast and HIS KINGDOM . In this world ye shall have TRIBULATION .
But be of good cheer , IF we die we with JESUS .

Not really. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess 5:9) There is no "HIS" in that verse.

Was the Flood for Noah and his family, or was it for the unbelieving and the ungodly? Was the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah for Lot and his family, or was it for the wicked inhabitants of those cities?

Similarly the Tribulation and Great Tribulation are for unbelieving and the ungodly.
