maybe i am just too stupid to learn without the specific verses, or, you could supply the verses that i ask for so i can study them. seems to me that if you had them, you would answer my questions as if they might be at the very least, a possibility for understanding. i am not asking for opinions or beliefs, i have asked for verses, the least you could do would be to supply them or tell me you can't.all i can really go by is what is written, so i asked for the verses; i can't take the liberty with God's Holy Word and just decide that the lawful feast of the Jews was given over or shared with some other nations. i am more than aware that many teach that gentiles began the church at Pentecost, but, i need those verse before i can acknoweldge that as being Biblical truth, and certainly i am willing to review the verses when you post them. meanwhile, try studying the verses i have posted to see if a thing is so.Act 17:1-2 Now when they had passed through...they came to...where was a synagogue of the Jews...Paul, as his manner was, went in unto THEM (Jews of the synagogue), and ...reasoned with them out of the ScripturesIs there really a reason to cause such an uproar betchevy, having assaulted my character, to bring me out as they did those back then ~Act 17:5 But the Jews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people. If so, I am right here, just break out those verses and lets see what they speak.

The problem with this Epo is it seems you are asking for a verse to support your opinion/interpetation/understanding yet you have no verses to contrict our beliefs either so it comes down to opinions so I think we have taken this a far as it should go its time to agree to disagree. So lets move on there are many other things we can study.

I don't see how you can say that Kriss, I have posted verses about the middle wall of partition, about the standing of the gentiles, about what manner Paul's was, about who it was that Peter addressed, about how it was still unlawful for a Jew to come unto a non Jew many years after Pentecost, about who Peter write his letters to, and much more. None of which is opinion, but wholly Scriptural. I even provided Josephus' quotation about the middle wall of partition. And I am reading that gentiles were enjoined to Israel in such a way as to have received the feasts which were lawfully given only to the Hebrews. So, I, having provided many infallible verses for evidence, also ask for supporting verses from those who do not believe the verses I have posted to be the way it was.

Happy happy you went into the Book and checked betchevy. I knew you would find it.Act 17:11 These (Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the Scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Within Thess', Paul makes many notable statements concerning the faith and standing of that church body, but those of Berea were even more noble! Compare the tone with Galatians for example. The apostle tells us of these more noble Bereans, they are such because of their ALL readiness of mind which they received the Scriptures by, AND BY their practical outworking (searching the Scriptures) to see if a thing is so, and they practiced this, daily. Note that we have here a wonderful example, although they were willing to receive the word, they were not satisfied by receiving the word alone, they had to search it out to see, positioning themselves proper in acknowledgment to the end (goal in the Gr.) the LORD may open the Scriptures for them.It doesn't matter whether we are reading from Smith's, or any other's, helps, they are by fallible flesh, whereas the Word is Holy (Psa 12:6). It will be true no matter how badly we mess things up. Additionally, what the LORD reveals today may not have been ready to be revealed at some earlier time (Dan 12:4), so we need to make use of our due caution when reading other peoples work. While helps do help, Grace and Truth comes from the LORD, and if we receive those whom HE has sent, them we receive HIM who sent them. A WORD ABOUT MY STUDIES/INPUTOne great goal of mine is to keep close to Scripture while leaving my opinion out of it. When I read about how much higher His thoughts are than mine (Isa 55:9), I am put to remembrance that my opinion is something different than acknowledgment. 2 Tim 3:16 says All Scripture is God-Breathed and is profitable. Then it lists in what ways Scripture IS profitable. (when God breaths on something, that makes it alive (Gen. 2:7; Eze. 1)I post because I study and I can't help wish to share some treasures with you all. Forum participation increases my study habits and causes me to look at the many things I have yet to search out, as I hope mine does you. If I didn't have deep love for all those who seek to know HIM, then I would not bother, I would just continue to study alone. But I simply MUST share what has been opened up to me, I can't seem to help it. Moreover it is not my intention to give the impression that I think I know everything, there are many many things I do not know, and several enigmas in the Bible. I will readily admit when I do not know or cannot find it out. My confessionis that I know how long my posts are, but these are all the short version. There is just sooo much in every verse, and for me, it is all connected, fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part.It is my understanding that we are fellow heirs, fellow partakers, and co-equals as Ephesians 3 instructs (doctrine) the members which are His Body. And in the practical (practice) section, we find just what that practice is supposed to look like ~Eph 4:3 Endeavoring (trans. Study in 2 Tim) to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.(7 fold unity is then given...)(interpolation...)Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: Eph 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; Eph 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: Eph 4:16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love. I would add, that as far as I am concerned, posting is not about being right or wrong. I don't care about such. When I need correction, then I need to be corrected so I can search to see if a thing is so.Just thought I'd share that, I hope it came out ok, seems I have poor communication skills or something.

In the words of the wise... Holy Smokes!. Perhaps I am missing something here, but it does appear that epouraniois is asking ligitmite questions, which, no doubt would require some bit of studying in order to answer, but ligitimite nonetheless... Why the attacks? Perhaps I have missed some key battle that took place here on the boards?

Why would you think this was an attack.Epo knows what I was saying. earlier I asked him to speak more clearly and I was telling him he did and I appreciated the effort. How you think an attack was made from this is beyond me
