Ezekiel 36:1-38 This is what the Lord says about the Land of Israel: Israel, you were trampled down when you were occupied by other nations. I will now speak to the Land, plundered and despised by the surrounding nations.

In My burning zeal, I have spoken out against the rest of the nations, especially Edom, for with glee and malice they seized My Land as spoil. Therefore, because Israel has suffered the scorn of the nations, I swear that those nations will in turn suffer scorn.

But you, Land of Israel, bring forth your branches and yield your fruit for My people, for their homecoming is near. See how I will look on you with favor, you will be fruitful. I shall settle on you many people -the whole 12 tribes of Israel, the towns inhabited and the Land prosperous. My people, all the faithful Israelites will live there again, never again to leave. No longer will they suffer the scorn of foreigners.

When ancient Israel was living in the Land, they defiled it by their idolatry. I sentenced them to exile around the world. But I have concern for My Holy Name, so you Israelites, it is not for your sake that I am acting – I shall show My Holiness through you and all the nations will know that I am the Lord.

I shall take you out of the world, gather you from every land and bring you back to your homeland. I will purify you of everything that defiles you. You will have a new heart and I will put My spirit within you and you will desire to only follow My Laws.

Then you will live in the Land that I had given to your forefathers. You will be My people and I will be your God. Having saved you from all that defiles you, I shall command the Land to be plentiful, trees will bear abundant fruit and the soil will produce heavy crops. Never again will you suffer famine.

You will recall your wicked conduct and evil deeds and will hate yourself for them. Feel the shame and disgrace of your old ways, people of Israel.
The Lord says: when I have cleansed you of all your wrongdoings, you will settle in the Land and the ruined places will be rebuilt. The Land will be ploughed and sown, no longer a wasteland, rain will come in due season.

The nations still left around you will know that it is I, the Lord who has done this.

The Lord says; once again, I will let the Israelites pray to Me for help. They will become many, as flocks of sheep in the Land. As Jerusalem has flocks of sheep at festival time, so will the towns of Israel be filled with flocks of people.
Then they will know that I am their God. Ref: REB verses abridged.

I will now speak to the Land, plundered and despised by the surrounding nations’. The Lord will once again take action on the earth, His holy Land; now inhabited mostly by atheists and foreigners are surrounded by nations and entities who hate the State of Israel and want to ‘’wipe it off the map’. Jeremiah 12:14, Psalm 83:1-8, Micah 4:11-12

In My burning zeal, I have spoken out against the rest of the nations, especially Edom’. This refers to the forthcoming Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, a worldwide judgement of fire, prophesies over 100 times in the Bible. The explosion of the suns surface, a massive CME, that He will use on that Day, will strike initially in the Middle East, particularly affecting the Middle East region. Zephaniah 2:4-5 It will be God’s solution for the troubles and strife there.

Ezekiel 35:1-14, describes in detail who modern day Edom is and what the Lord has planned for them; Ezekiel 35:5-6 They are peoples that have kept up their ancient feud with Israel and they glorify bloodshed and death

Jeremiah 25:32-33 Ruin spreads from nation to nation, a mighty tempest is coming onto all the godless peoples. Those whom the Lord has slain on that Day, will lie scattered from one end of the earth to the other, they will be as dung spread over the ground.

‘The homecoming of the whole twelve tribes of Israel is near. The people Jesus came to save: Mathew 15:24

They were sentenced to exile around the world for their sins, but now I shall take you out of the world, gather you from every land and settle you in your inheritance’.

The decreed exile of the Lord’s people is nearly over. Ezekiel 34:11-16, Isaiah 35:1-10

The gathering of all the [Christian] Israelite people from every race. Isaiah 66:18b-21, Micah 4:6

To all the land promised to the Patriarchs. Micah 7:11-12, Ezekiel 47:13-23

They will enter the land with great joy. Isaiah 66:14, Isaiah 62:1-5, Zechariah 8:1-8

And live there in peace and security. Isaiah 66:12-14, Jeremiah 30:19-20

‘I shall show My Holiness through you, you will receive a new heart and My spirit will come upon you’. This proves that all these events happen before the Return of Jesus, when he ‘comes in glory and all the world will see Him’. But until then, the Lord uses His people ‘to be a light to the nations and be His witnesses to the world’. Isaiah 49:8, Isaiah 43:10-12 The Lord will change the minds of His people, they will love Him unfailingly. Isaiah 32:15, Isaiah 59:21, Ezekiel 37:14 & 23

‘I shall command the Land to be plentiful, no longer a wasteland, rain will come in due season. The towns of Israel will be filled with people’. After the burning and earthquakes of this terrible CME; Malachi 4:1, Isaiah 66:15-16, Revelation 6:12-17 Ezekiel 38:8; says that His people, now every faithful Christian, Galatians 3:26-29 will be gathered from the nations, will be living in a Land recently recovered from ruin. Rain will come and the Land will be fertile. Isaiah 35:1-10, Zechariah 8:12, Psalms 68:9-10, Romans 9:24-26

The nations still left around you’;
Amos 1:3-5 For crime after crime of Damascus, [Syria] I will send fire upon them. Isaiah 17:1-3

Amos 1:6-8 For crime after crime of Gaza, [Palestinians] all the Philistines will perish. Joel 3:4

Amos 1:9-10 For crime after crime of Tyre, [Lebanon] I shall send fire upon them. Ezekiel 26:15-21

Amos 1:11-12 For crime after crime of Edom, [Ishmaelites] I shall send fire upon you. Bozrah, [the sheepfold] cleansed to be the place of safety during the Tribulation. Isaiah 34:5-6

Amos 1:13-15 For crime after crime of the Ammonites, [Jordan] I shall send fire upon you. Their King will go into exile. Ezekiel 25:1-7

Amos 2:1-3 For crime after crime of Moab, [Southern Jordan: Arab peoples] I shall send fire upon you. Your King and officers will be killed. Ezekiel 30:2-5

Amos 2:4-5 For crime after crime of Judah, [the State of Israel] I shall send fire upon you, for you have not kept the Law. Ezekiel 20:47-48 Only a Jewish remnant will survive. Romans 9:27

Amos 2:6-16 For crime after crime of Israel, [the 10 tribes, in exile] They will be judged and their military destroyed. Isaiah 17:4-6

They will know that I am their God’. This makes it obvious that all this must take place before the visible Return of Jesus. His people will be living once again in the holy Land, sending out missionaries and preparing for the coming Kingdom. Revelation 14:1-7, Isaiah 66:19

They choose their own leader. Jeremiah 30:21, Hosea 1:11

Ezekiel 28:24-26 No longer will the Israelites suffer from the scorn of their neighbors. When I gather the Israelites from where they have been dispersed, I shall show My Holiness in them for all the nations to see. After I execute My judgement on those scornful neighbors, My people will live on their own soil, undisturbed and they will build houses and plant vineyards, thus they will know that I am the Lord, their God.

I wonder, do you know where the soil is that the Israelites will live in when God gathers the Israelites to themselves? I wonder if you understand what the purpose of the soil is when God gathers them to Himself. I do not believe that they will be gathered to the land of Canaan at that time, but they will remain where they were living, when God gathers them to Himself and cleanses them by sprinkling water over them so that they can become His Holy Priests, and a Holy Nation, where they are living scattered throughout the whole earth beside the stream and in the ravines where they will be living when they are gathered by the Lord to Himself.

We Christians will occupy all of the holy Land; from the Nile to the Euphrates. Ezekiel 36 and many other prophesies make that perfectly clear.

I wonder if you understand God's plans and purposes? He gave that Land to Abraham and his descendants as their possession forever. Genesis 15:18 WE Christians are Abrahams descendants by faith, Galatians 3:26-29, as well as actual descent thru the ten Northern tribes.
WE will be the Lord's witnesses, Isaiah 43:10, John 15:17 and His Light to the nations, Isaiah 49:3-8, Matthew 5:14-16
We will be there when the Anti-Christ 'beast' conquers us. Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:7
BEFORE Jesus Returns.

This is where we simply disagree in our understanding of the OT. You believe that God Gave the Land of Canaan to Abraham, but Stephen in Acts 7? tells us that Abraham had no place to even set his foot on.

Funny that Stephen even disagrees with you on this particular point.

It's a dangerous thing to try to usurp Israel.

Romans 11:25-27 (NKJV)
25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; 27 For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins."

Abraham did go to and lived in the holy land.
The Prophesies are quite clear: we Christians will inherit the Land and will be there during the end times.
The Lord will bless and protect us, as Ezekiel 38 to 39 confirm.
It's a dangerous thing to try to usurp Israel.
If by Israel, you mean the Jewish State that currently occupies a small part of the holy Land, those apostate, LGBT and Jesus rejecting mixed race peoples whom the Bible prophesies tell us, will be gone after the Lord's Day of fiery wrath cleanses the entire area. Jeremiah 12:14
The holy Land will be depopulated, Hosea 4:3, and only the faithful believers, the true Israelites of God; will go to live there. Isaiah 35:1-10

This statement is right, but Abraham had no possession of land, in Canaan, except for the field that he brought with the cave in it in which to bury his wife Sahar in after she died.

As for returning to Mt Zion, I can return to Mt. Zion without even leaving the country in which I am presently residing. To me you are confusing a locality with a state of mind which is embedded with God in peace and love and is secure in what the future holds for us all who are in Christ.

Christians are not Israel! Israel is home to stay and nobody can move them, ever!
Amos 9:14-15 (NKJV)
14 I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. 15 I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them," Says the LORD your God.

There is a spiritual mind set and a literal reality.
Mt Zion is a literal place, in Jerusalem, a real city that had much significance in the past and will continue to have in the future.

The OP and many other Bible prophesies say it will be occupied by the Lords righteous peoples. Ezekiel 36:1-38 is plain, why must you reject scripture?
So YOU are God's chosen? Why aren't you in Israel?
All the faithful Christians are the Chosen people of God. Peter 2:9-10

I have been to Israel and I know I will go back there one day.
But for now, it is best to stay well away, until after the Lord's Day of fiery wrath, which will depopulate the entire holy Land area. Jeremiah 10:18, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Amos 1 & 2:1-5
Israel is home to stay and nobody can move them, ever!
God will remove all the ungodly peoples from His holy Land. Only a remnant of Messianic Jews will survive by hiding underground. Isaiah 29:1-4, Romans 9:27
Amos 9:14-15 does not apply to Jewish Israel. It confirms Ezekiel 36 and the many other prophesies, how it will only the faithful Christians who the Lord will bless, as they live in peace and prosperity in His Land.

As the context of Amos 9 proves;
All the sinners of My people shall die...... Amos 9:10, Isaiah 22:14, Isaiah 6:11-13

With respect Keraz....I see your zeal. I can however not see God peddling favouritism for a particular ethnicity. I do however see God's attempt to convey his Salvation to mankind in any metaphor possible......amongst the many of which he has used a particular ethnicity.
It is denying God's long sightedness to take what is intended as metaphor, literally.....it hamstrings one's own vision and focus's the 'barking' in a misplaced arena.

I do not and have never espoused any special ethnic group.
I am fully aware that God does not have 'favorites'. Romans 2:11

Ezekiel 36 and the many prophesies about how Gods People will go to live in all of the holy Land in the end times, refers to the Christians. Peoples from every race, nation and language. 1 Peter 2:9-10, Revelation 5:9-10

Prophesies like Ezekiel 36, are not metaphorical, they describe actual physical places and the doings of physical people.
'hamstrung'? It is those who fail to see the amazing Plan of God for His faithful Christian people, who are in the dark.

I probably used the wrong term by saying 'ethnicity' by which I meant Israel, but seeing you defined it as all of God's people why do you not interpret the 'holy land' to be consistent with 'Israel' ie, that it refers to the whole earth (made new)?

To make it unambiguous, what I see you doing is interpreting the metaphor 'Israel' rightly as all God's people but then revert to a literal interpretation of Israel (geographically)'. There is an inconsistency here in exegesis.

I see the OT prophecies in Ezekiel or other books referring to the same as those in Revelation

....and incidentally, if God's people from all ages and nations are to live in the geographical boundaries of literal geographical Israel as you say, there will hardly be enough standing room for each person let alone every man under his fig tree and vine.

Seek ye not the temple made with hands . Rather seek ye the jerusalem which is above , mother to all those who believe in THE KING JESUS .
I am gonna leave us a trivia question . One to which i do already know the answer . But i would like to know
who else knows this answer .
Let us go to the book of AMOS .
And read , AND AFTER THIS I will return and build up the waste places , the tabernacle , etc of david .
DO we think this is speaking of an end time physical building or is it speaking of the glorious gospel .
A HINT you gonna find the answer in acts . OH yes .

Thanks for your input.
There is a holy people and a holy Land. The first are the Israelites of God, the overcomers for Him, the Christian peoples, as Galatians 6:14-16 says and as John sees in Revelation 7:9.
The holy Land is all that area from the Nile to the Euphrates. Sometimes called Zion and it is the special area of the earth that God always keeps His eye on. Deuteronomy 11:11-12
There will be plenty of room for all those people who will have kept their faith in the Lord's protection during the soon to happen Lord's Day of fiery wrath, which will clear and cleanse it. Deuteronomy 32:34-43 and 100 + other prophesies.
The Lord will send rain and the Land will blossom and become fruitful, as Ezekiel 36 and Isaiah 35, Jeremiah 31, all tell us.

I agree that Revelation and all the other NT prophesies are confirmation of all the OT prophets.

Christians are not Israel!
Christians are not the majority of the citizens of the Jewish State of Israel.
But all Christians are the Overcomers for God, literally His Israelites by faith.

Bible prophecy is clear: the Jewish State will be gone after the Lord's terrible Day of fiery wrath. Jeremiah 12:14, Isaiah 22:1-14, Isaiah 6:11-13, Amos 2:4-5, +
As the OP of this thread and many other prophesies say; the holy Land will be occupied by the righteous peoples. Psalms 37:29, Psalms 69:32-36, Isaiah 65:9, Romans 9:24-26 Why is this truth a problem for you?

1 Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, ...2 For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem; ...3 Then the LORD will go forth And fight against those nations, As He fights in the day of battle. 4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, Which faces Jerusalem on the east. ...12 And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem: Their flesh shall dissolve while they stand on their feet, Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets, And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths.

Isn't that a contradiction?
Israelis and Israelites:

Israelis: The current inhabitants of the State of Israel. A people of mixed ethnicity, who have no provable claim to descent from Judah.
Israelites: True descendants of the 12 sons of Jacob, or those people grafted in by reason of righteousness. Only God knows who they all are. Amos 9:9, Romans 9:6

Most Western Christians view modern Israelis as a continuation of the ancient Biblical drama of Israel and as the inheritors of the traditional role that the Jews have played through the ages. Through them, we have a universal moral code of justice: the Ten Commandments. These Divinely inspired Laws form the basis of our Judeo/Christian morality and ethics. Therefore modern Israel has been expected to reflect a high level of justice and morality in its actions.

Jewish teaching also says that history is not as the Greeks taught it, that is: a cyclical series of events in which mankind gets no better or no worse. The Torah, the Talmud and the Mishnah, all teach that we can steadily uplift human society and eventually there will come a Messianic era of true peace and harmony.

Although the State of Israel does display restraint in their dealings with their neighbors, it can hardly be said that they maintain Biblical precepts, such as ‘Love thy neighbor’. And as for moral leadership, Israeli’s are a seriously bad example!

What then of the prophesies that say the Israelites are a chosen people, destined to be a ‘light to the nations’? We must be aware and keep in mind that the Jewish people are comprised of only 2 tribes, of the original 12 sons of Jacob. [Parts of some other tribes are assimilated.] Ezekiel 22:15 The Jewish Israeli people are just ‘the budding of the fig tree’, a first fruit of the final regathering of ALL the Israelite people.

We are told in many prophecies that Judah will be judged and punished for their many sins, but a remnant will survive to become a ‘holy seed in the Land’. Isaiah 6:13 Then, the great spiritual regeneration and rejoining of all the Israelites will take place; Ezekiel 37:1-19, and as Ezekiel 37:20-28 goes on to say: I shall make them a single nation in the holy Land and I shall pour out My Spirit upon them. Isaiah 44:1-5

Then the Lord’s righteous people will be His witnesses, Isaiah 43:10 and 12,000 from each tribe will go out to the world, to proclaim the coming Kingdom of Jesus. Rev. 14:1-7, Isaiah 66:19

This judgement/punishment event will severely affect the whole world, Luke 21:35 and the nations will cede their sovereignty to a One World Government in order to re-establish normal life and initially ten regions will be formed, each with a Governor or President. Fairly soon, a charismatic and powerful man will rise and take control of them all, declaring himself to be the great leader and savior of humankind.

New Israel, [Beulah, Isaiah 62:1-5] will not join this federation and they become rich and prosperous, blessed by the Lord, living in peace as God wipes out the Gog/Magog attack, but they become complacent and when the OWG leader comes to make a peace treaty with them, their leaders agree to it, forgetting that it is the Lord who protects and saves them. Isa 28:18 This is the trigger for the start of the final seven years, as prophesied in Daniel. The first 3.5 years will be peaceful, but then the OWG leader comes to Jerusalem with his army and conquers Beulah. He goes to the new Temple and sits in the Holy of Holies, declaring himself to be God. This commences the trumpet and bowl punishments of the great Tribulation, which lasts for 3.5 years. Those righteous Israelites, who refused to agree to the treaty with the OWG leader, are promised a place of safety for this time. Then the Lord Jesus will Return in glory, to reign on earth for 1000 years. After that comes the Great White Throne judgement of all the living and dead.
Finally: eternity with God in the New Jerusalem!

Guess where Jesus will return. Guess who Jesus will fight for.
The Jerusalem that Jesus will Return to will be inhabited by Christians. They will be under attack by the armies of the Anti-Christ, as described in Revelation 13:12-13, Daniel 7:23-26

The Jewish State of Israel will be gone after the Lord's Day of fiery wrath, the next prophesied event; the Sixth Seal worldwide disaster:
Ezekiel 21:2-7 Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem and prophesy against the Land of Israel. My sword will be drawn against everyone from the Negev to the North, it will kill both the righteous and wicked alike. All courage will fail – it will surely take place.

Ezekiel 21:10-14 My sword is sharpened to kill, even the scepter of My Royal Son. Testing will surely come and what if the scepter of Judah, which the sword despises, does not continue? Swing the sword three times, the great sword of slaughter. [1st time – 585BC, 2nd time - 69/70AD, 3rd time- yet to come]

Jeremiah 8:5-12 Judah has no remorse or repentance, How can you say: We have the Law, when your scribes have falsified it? For all, high and low are out for ill-gotten gain, your prophets and rabbis are frauds, every one of them. This wicked race would rather die than live. They say: All is well; no, nothing is well, they will all fall with a great crash on the Day of Reckoning. You will be as dung spread on the ground. Then, I will give the Land to new owners.

Ezekiel 16:35-63 Listen you harlot: Because of your brazen excesses...I shall bring you to trial for adultery and murder...You must bear the consequences of your lewd and abominable conduct, I shall treat you as you deserve, because you violated an oath and made light of a covenant.
You will remember and be so ashamed and humiliated that you will never open your mouth again.
[The remnant of survivors after the Lord’s punishment and pardon]

Amos 2:4-5 For the crimes of Judah, there will be no reprieve, they have spurned the Law of the Lord and have not observed His decrees. They have followed false gods. Therefore I shall send fire on Judah, fire will consume them.

Hosea 8:14And for you, Judah, a harvest of reckoning will come, I will send fire onto your cities

Zephaniah 1:4-6 Judah will be judged and those who have neither sought the Lord, nor enquired of Him, will be wiped out.

Obadiah 1:15-16 The Day of the Lord is at hand for all the nations....you too will drink the cup of wrath that My people, Judah, must drink on My Holy mountain.

Jeremiah 19:11 I shall smash this people, as a clay jar is smashed beyond repair. There will be no room left to bury them all.

Jeremiah 21:11-14 To the Royal House of Judah....I shall punish you as you deserve. I shall set fire to your scrubland, it will consume everything around about.

Ezekiel 20:46-47...I am about to kindle a fire in the Negev....it will scorch everyone in the Land.

Zechariah 13:8-9 It will happen throughout the Land, that 2/3 of the people will die. The 1/3 left will pass through the refining fire. They will call on Me and I will answer them....

Isaiah 9:18-19 Wicked men have been set ablaze. The Land is scorched and the people are fuel for the fire.

Jeremiah 13:19 The towns in the Negev are besieged, no one can relieve them. Judah has been swept clean away.

Isaiah 4:3-4 The remnant of Judah will be called holy when the Lord cleanses Zion by a Spirit of judgement burning like fire.

Luke 19:27 As for those enemies of Mine, who did not want Me for their King, bring them here and slaughter them

Matthew 27:25 His blood be upon us and our children.

Matthew 21:41-43 The King will bring those criminals to justice and destroy them. Therefore the Kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will bear its fruit.
