Restored to life as it was, or restored to life as it is now?

When Jesus' crucified dead body was laid to rest, it was a normal human
body; subject to death, decay, and the aging process.

Up in Heaven, his body is immune to all that.

But what about that day on Earth when Jesus' body was restored to life?
Did it retain its normal vulnerabilities, or was his body restored to life
somewhat superhuman?

In other words: when did Jesus' body become immortal? The day of his
resurrection, or the day of his ascension?

Rom 6:9 strongly suggests that Jesus' crucified dead body was restored to
life with immortality; but according to John 20:17, it was not yet glorified.

His eternal body is the exact same one that was Resurrected from the dead. So His Resurrection body is incorruptible and immortal as per 1 Cor 15.

Jesus' body was on hold for glorification. (John 20:17)

Other bodies in the New Testament restored to life by the power of God
weren't glorified in the process, so the resurrection of Jesus' body to its
original condition wasn't unusual; rather, to be expected.

And anyway, it was very important that his friends see Jesus back from
death as he was or they would have reason to believe his post resurrection
appearances were suspicious.

For example: the Watchtower Society has managed to convince its Jehovah's
Witness followers that Christ's post-resurrection appearances were done in a
materialized body, i.e. an avatar; and that his crucified dead body remains
deceased. The Society insists it wasn't restored to life, rather, is now
squirreled away somewhere on Earth in a condition, and a location, known
only to God.

"If Jesus were to take his body of flesh, blood, and bones to heaven and
enjoy them there, what would this mean? It would mean that there would be
no resurrection of the dead for anybody. Why not? Because Jesus would be
taking his sacrifice off God's altar.
" (page 237 of the April 15, 1963 issue of
the Watchtower magazine)

When Jesus' crucified dead body was laid to rest, it was the body of the one and only God-Man Jesus Christ-- the body of no ordinary man-- of no sinner.
Jesus was God with us who DIED LAYING DOWN HIS OWN LIFE BY HIS OWN DIVINE POWER, not because He was <subject to death>. Only sinners are subject to death.
Jesus by the very same Power of His Divinity with which He laid down his Life, took it up again.

Jesus' crucified and dead body that was buried, was the body born of a virgin and was conceived immaculate by the Holy Spirit. Jesus never sinned in body or mind or soul. He never sinned or desired to sin. Therefore Jesus' dead body that was buried, had not seen or done sin. And having been Divine God with us all the way as well as all the way with us never having sinned, Jesus as the body of Jesus, saw no corruption or decay, or knew an <aging process>.

Christ by the very same Power of His Divinity with which He took up his Life again, laid it down.

Was the first Adam created immortal? No. BUT as long as he remained without sin he remained immortal because it is sin which causes mortality and death. Adam did not remain without sinning. Christ not the least ever considered sinning. JESUS REMAINED IN HIS DIVINE INTEGRITY every moment in his earthly life AS HE REMAINED IN HIS DIVINE INTEGRITY THROUGHOUT ETERNITY INCLUDING NOW AS THE RESURRECTED LORD GOD OUR SAVIOUR.

Jesus, nor Jesus' body, ever <retained>, contained, or even restrained such sinful things as are <normal vulnerabilities> which could as for us mortal sinners be <restored to life>. Ban the thought! Whatever <vulnerable> for sinners like us is <normal>, for our Holy Saviour is abominable sinfulness.

Up in Heaven, his body is immune to all that.

Can a healthy body loose its <immunity>? Certainly Adam's body and soul, did! But God isn't what we know for a healthy, mortal or immortal, <body> merely.
Speculation about God's Divine Integrity inevitably soon breeds maggots of corruptibility. It's basic. To avoid it is to avoid the pope's religion becoming yours.

what would a glorified body look like?

It looks just like a human being.

1Tim 2:5 . . There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a
man, Christ Jesus.

The Greek word translated "men" and "a man" in that verse is derived from
anthropos (anth'-ro-pos) --a common word for all people regardless of their
age, race, gender, or religious preference.

Anthropos corresponds to the Old Testament's Hebrew word 'adam (aw
dawm') which, again, is a common word for all people regardless of their
age, race, gender, or religious preference.

Were I the Devil, I would do my utmost best to disprove the resurrection of
Jesus Christ's crucified dead body because its crucifixion alone is only half
enough to protect people from the wrath of God. Though his physical body's
death obtains forgiveness for people's sins, its death alone doesn't make
their exoneration possible.

Rom 4:25 . . He was delivered up for the sake of our trespasses, and was
raised up for the sake of declaring us righteous.

The Greek word translated "righteous" is dikaiosis (dik-ah'-yo-sis) which
means acquittal; defined as an adjudication of innocence.

People merely forgiven still carry a load of guilt; viz: they have a criminal
record. Christ's physical resurrection deletes their record so that on the
books, it's as though they've never been anything but 100% innocent.

This clearing of one's guilt that I'm talking about is obtained via the kindness
and generosity of God through belief in the resurrection of Christ's crucified
dead body. If the Devil can succeed in convincing people that Jesus' crucified
body is still dead or, even better yet, make them question whether the man
even existed at all; then they will fail to obtain an acquittal, and
consequently end up put to death in brimstone because records are to be
reviewed when people stand to face justice at the Great White Throne event
depicted at Rev 20:11-15.

Of all the doctrines invented by the Watchtower Society, I'd have to say that
their resurrection story is the most insidious because belief in the recovery
of Christ's corpse is one of the essential elements of the gospel that must be
accepted if one is to have any chance at all of circumventing the lake of
brimstone depicted at Rev 20:11-15.

1Cor 15:17 . . Further, if Christ has not been raised up, your faith is
useless; you are yet in your sins.

NOTE: According to 1Cor 15:34, people that disbelieve Jesus Christ's corpse
was restored to life aren't fully conscious; viz: they're like someone in a
stupor; i.e. dazed.

Jesus body still retains the marks from His crucifixion and He is the same man with the same human body that was in the grave was resurrected and glorified with the crucifixion marks still in His Glorified Resurrected Body.

Luke 24:39-40
"See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself; touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have." 40 And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and His feet.

John 20:27-28
27
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."28 Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"

Acts 1:3-11
After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. 4 On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: "Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. 5 For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit."
6 So when they met together, they asked him, "Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?"
7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

hope this helps !!!

That's a great teaching there. How would you say 1st Corinthians 15:50 fits into it?

The apostle John was with Jesus the duration of forty days after his corpse
was restored to life. At no time did John see Jesus' glorified body; and if he
didn't see it, then neither did anybody else.

1John 3:2-3 . . What we will be has not yet been made known. But we
know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he
is.

NOTE: Of all the miracles that Jesus performed; in my opinion the most
remarkable of all was his own resurrection. (John 2:19-22)

• John 5:19-21 . . I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he
can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father
does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all He
does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than
these. For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the
Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

That is a profound statement.

Seeing as how his Father was the source of all of Jesus' miraculous powers,
then we have to give his Father credit for Jesus' ability to restore his own
corpse to life.

Now if Jesus was able to restore his own corpse to life, then we are safe to
conclude that when he passed away on the cross, Jesus remained in
conscious existence, and retained possession of his miraculous powers too,
i.e. somewhere beyond the grave Jesus was alive.
