Trailer is a 14 x 70 3 bedroom 2 bath. Hadn't been lived in for over 20 years and was used as a hoarders paradise.
When my Dad first said I could come and stay in it, I didn't realize the condition it was in.
I did the bare necessity when I first got here. Made a path from one end to the other.
I was given instruction not to "move" anything because they were afraid they wouldn't be able to find things if I moved them.
Has anyone ever watched the show "Hoarders" ? Floor to ceiling, wall to wall STUFF and TRASH.
This one filled with mostly fabric and buttons and pins and ribbons and anything associated with sewing crafts.
It has taken me a couple months to clean both bathrooms (spotless) and the kitchen stove alone was covered in a thick grease scum that took me 3 days to make it look like new. The laundry area was disaster, the cobwebs and mouse terd.. UGH..
The cats were sneezing all the time and I started getting small rashes and headaches.
I been here almost 5 years now.
I asked my dad right out, I need to clean. I won't throw anything away that isn't broken, turded on, or trashed. He finally agreed.
I had to move quick before he changed his mind.
So I began, I forget, end of Jan or beginning of Feb. I filled up a dumpster 3 times the first month.
I also got the spring gardening bug and ordered some seeds and some potting soil and started winter gardening in containers.
It is still snowing here in Maine so it won't be until May I can transplant the seedlings into the ground.
But at least I got that started.
So I'm down to 2 bedrooms still loaded with STUFF that I don't know what to do with. At least I can close the doors and work on them a little at a time.
I got snagged by Gordon Ramsey and his Hell's Kitchen show marathon, which sent me on a course of cooking.
I feel like I can breathe again and cooking in a clean environment is much more pleasant than in a pigsty.
I'm getting a lot of exercise too which is much needed. All those trips to the dumpster. Even though it is only 30 feet from the house, walking is something I struggle with but it's worth the difficulty.
I have avoided the news like the plague. I know there are a lot of things going on in the world in which I personally have no control over.
I refuse to watch protests and riots and enything negative.
I have my music playing in the background, homemade food cooking on the stove, and my my kitty's are healthy and happy.
Life is good.
Thank You Lord!
I missed you all
Hugs
