The principal is the same.

Romans 6
What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

That is right! Because of God living within us- we never have to sin again! but we still contend with the flesh and god forbid we do sometime fall and sometime often in a day!

But I find comfort in these words from Jesus HImself:

Matthew 18:21-23
King James Version

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 12:20
A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Psalm 103
King James Version

103 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.

2 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.

6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

13 Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him.

14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

15 As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

Strawman in no way applies to me

Yes. These posts apply to you.

Some kind of Appeal to Strawman. I don't know anyone who says that quoting Scripture is condemning.

However, I do believe from your many posts that the converse is true of you; you condemn using Scripture - but want to condemn with impunity AS IF you are innocently posting Scripture (and NOT condemning).

Let me tell you a little secret about influencing people. Condemning does not work. Try humbly asking a question - AND LET THEM HAVE THE LAST WORD WITH THEIR ANSWER!

My friend, I think you have a gigantic ego, a God complex for you are attempting to do what is up to God to do. Every post you've made exudes assumed authority. Guess what?! You do not have authority over anyone for eternity.

Why blast? Because that is how it will come across UNLESS they ask you for your opinion.

And I will shake the dust off my feet.

Well Addy, no apologies. 1st Timothy 5:20 As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. And no one here is point directly at you. I will get nose to nose with you and BB because you are absolutely wrong. But know one is calling you and BB horrible sinners, or that you are not Christians or saved. None of this is about that. But you should be convicted to the heart, it should shake you. The Word of God has that power! Feel honored to feel it. Rejoice that His gaze has settled on you and wants to correct your thinking...No one here is condemning you, fellow Christians correcting your thinking.

I strain for patience...I know better than to pray for it! I like you and BB and I have been patient and if I did not think you two were more than worth it, I would not waist my time.

So you can be hurt and ya know sometimes that is a good thing. Cut to the quick...yes that is good...stop and think...that is good thing. I do not put bumper stickers on my truck...put if I did it would be "THINK before it is too late!

I don't have the words... to express how disgusted I am ... and how entirely appalled at what I have seen transpire today. This "ambush" has only served to destroy any kind of desire I had of finding some kind of fellowship here... I will certainly never make another post or comment on any thread again. As for being hurt... NOPE... Hurt is not the word... my heart is sad... very sad...that Christians are such nasty creatures.

I will leave you to the rebuking as you seem to revel in it... and I will go back to my quiet existence where I know that I am loved by GOD... This is not a good place for me... and I finally see that.

You need to consider the truth. And there is time for that. You can say what you want to me...get it all out...big ol' Ox with thick skin. If the seeds of truth grow come back and no hard feelings.

I have seen a very dangerous and deadly mindset that has grown large within christain churches .
They offer up a popular culture Jesus . And then they teach us , DONT JUDGE and they silence those who would be trying
to expose the error . Instead of just calling everyone christain , examine the fruits .
THEN we would know who to try and correct and to pray for as well .
IF we come to this new mindset that wont correct or expose , but rather just says oh they knew GOD
then we wont be praying for them to repent and worse we also allow leaven into the church this way .
And when that happens a church tanks in time . We must do all now to look out for one another , BY THE SPIRIT ,
and to be building one another up in sound biblical doctrine . I can even use the presidents as an example .
Many on the left claim biden is saved and trump is not , many on the right say the opposite .
AND Yet by grace i can tell us all , NIETHER MAN is saved , THEY BOTH NEED CHRIST , they BOTH NEED to repent and truly believe .
We cannot become a slave to the pop culture PC version of another jesus that is being taught .
Oh , one may ask me , what do you mean become a slave or be in bondage . WELL cause this new jesus seems to be SIN accepting
AND that AINT JESUS at all . HE dont feed our flesh , HE came to set us free from sin . WE mus be on guard my friends .
I love you all . I Do . Let us be learning our bibles well and be in prayer for one another that we grow in and by the grace of GOD .
Amen. This is very true what brother is saying. We must be on guard and only believe in the biblical Lord Jesus.

The rapper DMX claimed Jesus was his Savior, but his fruit said otherwise. Many try to claim Jesus as Savior but they are friends of the world and still continue to fulfill the lust of the flesh. Counterfeit christianity is popular nowadays.

Jesus said:

Matthew 7
[13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
[14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
[16] Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
[17] Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
[18] A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
[19] Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
[20] Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

"American rapper and actor Earl Simmons, known by the stage name DMX or Dark Man X, died on Friday, his record label said, after he suffered a heart attack during what media reports said was a drug overdose. He was 50 years old.”

Rapper, actor DMX dies of 'drug overdose'
I know nothing of the man other than I know his name and that he was a rap musician. Knowing that profession, and knowing he died of a drug overdose, yes... He was a sinner and he probably lived a debauched life. It killed him probably earlier than he could've lived.

Deathbed repentance seems so unfair. But God does accept them. There is scriptural evidence of that. Now whether this individual really meant it is a matter between him and God.

Kayne West has said the same thing, and is one wacky dude! But the thing is, I may seem very conservative to some of you and liberal to others of you. I haven't done drugs in 30 years and probably haven't been as with as many women as Mr. DMX... But my record isn't without spot or blemish.

I don't like fake Christianity either. But if DMX found God at the last moment and God accepted him, what does that have to do with me?

If it was real, I say... Praise God!

I think I'm good thanks... what occurred on this thread is digusting...I'm not sure if you complained and sent in the BIG KAHUNA or if Admin just happened to be in the neighbourhood... but that is not called correction... It's called pulling rank. The minute I was told I'm wrong... then I shut down... This is not my site... I am a guest.... and I will not go against what ADMINISTRATION says.

What you think happened yesterday ( or in your eyes ) should have happened...( this CORRECTION )... It did not happen... and I shall not be dwelling on it... So... Please do not think for a minute that you have done me any good.... You have simply left a very bad taste in my mouth and you are not someone I would choose to spend time with.

So please save your EXCITEMENT that you finally GOT me... and I got CORRECTED.... NOPE... that is not the story... I got publicly shamed...which is fine...

This entire thread was bred with condemnation.... I smelt it from the moment it came in... and it is not something I am able to stand behind.

I learned a lot of things today... mostly that I have no desire to be part of something like this...

So.. with that said... I leave you to your NEED to call out sin in others.

@lforrest I am ready to leave this site.... and please do so ASAP at you earliest convenience...I can assure you I am done here.

I too am entitled to share my opinion here, which was at least partly contrary to yours. I don't think it reasonable that you considered by post an official action against you; that isn't how we have ever done things here. Of all the posts here yours have hardly been the most disagreeable. Usually someone else says what needs saying and I don't have to interject.

You can logout any time you want.

I don’t think it was a deathbed confession, he was found unresponsive and ended up on a life support machine. So he must have made the claim before this all happened. Yes, there are many who process Jesus Christ but actually don’t know Him on a personal level. However it’s Jesus that knows His sheep, just basing the assessment on the fact that he still did drugs is not enough proof. Some addictions take years to deal with, even with The Lords help.
I think if you listen, hear and know more about a person you can, overtime, evaluate whether they are changing since they claim to have encountered Christ. Fruit can be seen , or not seen.

You have simply left a very bad taste in my mouth and you are not someone I would choose to spend time with.

I think the problem with the Addy's of the world is they take things too personally. I simply put the OP poster on ignore.

I had my exchanges with him, realized where he is at on the journey of life and realized he is likely to do me more harm than good. I believe there is a risk to all of God's children in reaching out to those in darkness. We can influence them toward Christ, yes. However, they can influence us also away from Christ.

This has always been my crutch; to not want to throw pearls before swine. I've used it to justify not sharing my faith, not spreading the good news, not attempting to bring others to Christ. Who I give most credit to is not the unbelievers but the proselytizers like the OP poster.

I wish Addy would remain a positively contributing member of our community. It is darker without her.

So you believe you live in sinless perfection then and have no besetting sins as it says in Hebrews 12:1?

Jesus didn't say lots of things. So pl;ease tell us all if you live in sinless perfection and have not one teeny weeny tiny habit of sin in th0ought word or deed.
Being perfect and committing sin are two different things. Romans 6 is clear, the Saints do not continue in sin. Sinners, however, do.

I do not see a time limit for these verses nor a total number!

If this DMX was born again, then He is in heaven. If he wasn't then He is not. That is not for you to decide but God only!

Sin cannot enter Heaven, neither does Jesus forgive those who are unwilling to forsake their sins.

Now you lie!

1 John 1:9 says acknowlede your sin and god will forgive and God will cleanse. Why are you so determined to wish to judge people? Someone can commit teh same sin multiple times daily. If they acknowledge it daily god forgives ( inour experience not for salvation) everytime and goes to work to cleanse that individual. Who are you to place a limit on Gods forgiveness or the teim God will take in a life to cleanse that person from sin?

YOu are walking dangerously close to playing god and that never works out well for anyone who tries! You do not know the heart of the individual. YOu do not know the struglles they may be going through . and given your pharasaical attitude, I wonder if you even know how deep the mercy and love of God runs.
