Job 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? {Mazzaroth: Zodiac - Heb. guide them}

Joshua 10:12-14 - Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

HOMER'S ILLIAD - [Homer is from Chios, which has a very strong connection with the Pole Star and Sirius]

"Jove, most glorious, supreme, that dwellest in heaven, and ridest upon the storm-cloud, grant that the sun may not go down, nor the night fall, till the palace of Priam is laid low, and its gates are consumed with fire. Grant that my sword may pierce the shirt of Hector about his heart, and that full many of his comrades may bite the dust as they fall dying. round him." Agamemnon prayed, saying ...

My dear Menelaus, why are you so chary of taking men's lives? Did the Trojans treat you as handsomely as that when they stayed in your house? No; we are not going to leave a single one of them alive, down to the babies in their mothers' wombs—not even they must live. The whole people must be wiped out of existence, and none be let to think of them and shed a tear.

James 4:1-3 From whence come wars and fighting? come they not of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Isis raised her voice and cried to the boat of 'millions of years' so loud that the earth shook and the sunboat stopped its course, for Isis knew the secret name of Ra, the King of the Gods. When he heard Isis cry and noticed that his sunboat had stopped so that there was no more light on the lands.

It seems that Almighty God often tampers with the orbital status of this planet. Though he often relates it to man's behaviour and historical events that also occur...it seems that these are secondary to the real purpose which is to correct orbital malfunctions. He certainly re-established the planet's orbital status at the time of the beginning and the great flood was possibly an orbital correction, left over from the creation, that was required.

Our problem, now, is, God's description of the 'great tribulation'. It appears that to bring the planet out of its, greedily induced, 'great tribulation' may require another orbital correction.

Will we be spiritually and righteously ready???

First of all Science can't prove abio-genesis, yet the Bible and other sources mention it. The same two sets of chemical processes that ib-issi refered to can be derictly linked to the Genesis Narrative and the Bio-Info Component of the "divisibility of 37".

Here's a few verses that show implicitly that these concepts were known in some terms ... maybe not in our understanding ... but of the same Cosmological Concepts ... more than several millenia ago.

Job 9:7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars. Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea. Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south. Which doeth great things [large in magnitude and extent] past finding out; (0369 'ayin, a primitive root meaning to be nothing or not exist[or out of nothing]) yea, and wonders without number [infinite].

Job 26:7-8 & 13 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them ... By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.

The Cosmic Gameplan
http://www.historum....c-gameplan.html

Amos 5:8 Seek him that maketh the seven stars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the morning, and maketh the day dark with night: that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name:

Psa 148:1-6 Praise ye the LORD from the heavens [and from] the heights ... sun and moon, all ye stars of light, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens. the LORD commanded, and they were created. He hath also stablished them for ever and ever: he hath made a decree which shall not pass.

Pro 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?

Refering to the "Great Watery Chambers of the South".

Genesis 1:6-8 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven.

Helping atheists understand origins

Revolving around these questions ...

I've shown plenty of mathematical correlation to the texts ...

Well, if you compared Homer and other writers to the Bible and Moses, you would have to include such statements as this ...

http://www.historum.com/blogs/killca...hemselves.html
Joshua 10:12-14 - Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

Then you would have to discount the unparalleled connections to possibly the most heralded ancient Epic ... that of Gilgamesh ... with the Bible ...

And you would have to discount the rather large connection to the Habiru, Iberu, Apiru, Amurru, Amorites, Mari, Chaldeans, Mitanni, Munnabtu, Pateru, Hittite, Luwain, Ugaric ... Hebrew, Aramean ... not to mention Egyptian, Phoenician, Danaan and Trojan Lines ... Throw in the reminants of the longest unchanged lineage of the Cohanim ... and well, its a done deal ...

This Is Appendix 11 From EW Bullinger's Companion Bible - The Word "Day" in Genesis

The word "day", when used without any limiting words, may refer to a long or prolonged period: as, the "day of grace", the "day of visitation", the "day of salvation", the "day of judgment", the "day of the Lord", "man's day", etc. But when the word "day" is used with a numeral (cardinal or ordinal), as one, two, three, etc., or first, second, third, etc., "evening and morning" (Genesis 1), or the "seventh day" (Exodus 20:9, 11, etc.), it is defined, limited, and restricted to an ordinary day of twenty-four hours.

This Is Appendix 18 From EW Bullinger's Companion Bible - "In the Day". (Genesis 2:12)

Beyom = when. It is the figure Synecdoche, by which a part is put for the whole, or the whole for a part (see Appendix 6). What that "part" is must be determined by the context in each particular case. In Genesis 2:4, it is put for the whole six days.

Genesis 2:4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens,

This Is Appendix 11 From EW Bullinger's Companion Bible - "The Stars Also".

In the first mention of the heavenly bodies, the purpose of the Creator is clearly stated. Genesis 1:14-19 reveals the fact that they were created, not only "to divide the day from the night, and to give light upon the earth"; but, they were set "for SIGNS, and for SEASONS, and for days and years". The figure [of speech] Polysyndeton (see Appendix 6) emphasises these four ...

They are "for SEASONS". Not only are the stars made for signs ('othoth, from the root 'athah = to come), but for Seasons. These are not the four seasons of the year, but Cycles of time. The figure Polysyndeton (see Appendix 6) in Genesis 1:14 emphasises this: "and for seasons, and for days, and years". The word means appointed times. (Compare Genesis 17:21; 18:14; 21:2.) Thus the sun, moon, and stars are for "signs" (things to come), and for "seasons" (appointed times).

There are no less than ten of these cycles, all of them different; not concentric, but yet all of them coinciding at creation, but never since: like number of hoops of different sizes hanging from a nail. This shows that they must have had a given simultaneous start.

1. The cycle of 24 hours for the day, an evening and morning.
2. The revolution of the Moon round the earth.
3. The lunar cycle, which began at the same moment as the solar cycle.
4. The daily revolution of the Sun, which places him on the meridian at noon each day.
5. The Solar Cycle, coinciding with the first of the seven years of lunar motion and repeating itself every 365 days.
6. The beginning of a Week of seven days on the first day of the week, of the first month of the first year of the first solar cycle.
7. The first Eclipse of a cycle of eighteen years and eleven days, to which the ancient astronomers gave the name of Saros; each Saros containing an average of seventy eclipses, divided into two portions of 594 years and 666 years, making together 1,260 years.
8. Beside these, there is the period of the Heliacal risings of Sirius, in a cycle of 162 years.
9. The Transits of Venus,
10. And the grand cycle known as the Precession of the Equinoxes.

This Is Appendix 6 From The EW Bullinger's Companion Bible "Figures of Speech"
Syn-ec'-do-che; or, Transfer = The exchange of one idea for another associated idea.

1. Of the Genus. When the genus is put for the species, or universals for particulars (Genesis 6:12. Matthew 3:5).
2. Of the Species. When the species is put for the genus, or particulars for universals (Genesis 3:19. Matthew 6:11).
3. Of the Whole. When the whole is put for a part (Genesis 6:12).
4. Of the Part. When a part is put for the whole (Genesis 3:19. Matthew 27:4).

Po'ly-syn'de-ton; or, Many Ands (Genesis 22:9,11. Joshua 7:24. Luke 14:21). The repetition of the word "and" at the beginning of successive clauses, each independent, important, and emphatic, with no climax at the end (Compare Aysndeton and Luke 14:13).

A Definitive Work on Sol in Vinter - The Misrule of Saturn
http://www.historum....ule-saturn.html

http://ancienthistory.about.com/library/bl/bl_frazer_saturnalia.htm
Saturnalia - The Golden Bough - Chapter 58. Human Scapegoats in Classical Antiquity - The Golden Bough, by Sir James G. Frazer

We are tempted to surmise that the mock king who presided over the revels may have originally represented Saturn himself. The conjecture is strongly confirmed, if not established, by a very curious and interesting account of the way in which the Saturnalia was celebrated by the Roman soldiers stationed on the Danube in the reign of Maximian and Diocletian. The account is preserved in a narrative of the martyrdom of St. Dasius, which was unearthed from a Greek manuscript in the Paris library, and published by Professor Franz Cumont of Ghent. Its importance for the history of the Roman religion, both ancient and modern, appears to have been overlooked until Professor Cumont drew the attention of scholars to three narratives by publishing them together some years ago. According to these narratives, which have all the appearance of being authentic, and of which the longest is probably based on official documents, the Roman soldiers at Durostorum in Lower Moesia celebrated the Saturnalia year by year in the following manner. Thirty days before the festival they chose by lot from amongst themselves a young and handsome man, who was then clothed in royal attire to resemble Saturn. Thus arrayed and attended by a multitude of soldiers he went about in public with full license to indulge his passions and to taste of every pleasure, however base and shameful. But if his reign was merry, it was short and ended tragically; for when the thirty days were up and the festival of Saturn had come, he cut his own throat on the altar of the god whom he personated. In the year A.D. 303 the lot fell upon the Christian soldier Dasius, but he refused to play the part of the heathen god and soil his last days by debauchery. The threats and arguments of his commanding officer Bassus failed to shake his constancy, and accordingly he was beheaded, as the Christian martyrologist records with minute accuracy, at Durostorum by the soldier John on Friday the twentieth day of November, being the twenty-fourth day of the moon, at the fourth hour.

John 19:1-3 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him. And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, And said, Hail, King of the Jews! and they smote him with their hands.

A Definitive Work on Sol in Vinter - For the Hosts of Heaven
http://www.historum....sts-heaven.html

Queen of Heaven was a title given to a number of ancient goddesses in the ancient Mediterranean and Near East, in particular Anat, Isis, Innana, Astarte. Hera and possibly Asherah (by the prophet Jeremiah). Elsewhere, Nordic Frigg also bore this title. In Greco-Roman times Hera, and her Roman aspect Juno bore this title. Forms and content of worship varied. Isis was venerated first in Egypt. As per the Greek historian Herodotus, writing in the fifth century BCE, Isis was the only goddess worshiped by all Egyptians alike, and whose influence was so widespread by that point, that she had become completely syncretic with the Greek goddess Demeter. Lucius Apuleius confirmed this in Book 11, Chap 47 of his novel known as The Golden Ass, in which his character prayed to the "Queen of Heaven". The passage says that the goddess herself responded to his prayer, in which she explicitly identified herself as both the Queen of Heaven and Isis.

Enslavement Of Jews and The Bible
http://www.historum....92?postcount=28

Palestine, the history of the region has been distorted not only due to the incorrect identification of the ancient inhabitants, but also due to its politicization resulting from ‘zionism’ and the arab-jewish conflict of recent decades. The jews have controlled the archaeology of the region very tightly, especially since the 1960’s. Typically, whatever archaeological discovery which suits the jewish view of ancient Israel is labeled as Israelite, while anything which does not appear to be jewish is considered to be Canaanite, Hittite, or Philistine, et al. An example of this is found in a review of Dan II. A Chronicle of the Excavations and the Late Bronze Age “Mycenaean” Tomb in the journal Near Eastern Archaeology, 67:3 (2004), p. 176, where it is evident that the authors of this study of the findings at Tel Dan in Palestine are quite oblivious to the fact that the Mycenaean (Danae) Greeks and the Israelite tribe of Dan were indeed one and the same people. It would not suit the jews to discover that this branch of the “Indo-European”, Aryan Greeks were indeed Hebrews.

Here's a re-print of the post above ...
Horus and Jesus similar?

http://www.sccs.swar...irth_deity.html
A life-death-rebirth deity, also known as a dying-and-rising or resurrection deity, is a god who is born, suffers death or a death-like experience, passes through a phase in the underworld among the dead, and is subsequently reborn, in either a literal or symbolic sense.

http://en.wikipedia...._the_underworld
The hero or upper-world deity journeys to the underworld or to the land of the dead and returns, often with a quest-object or a loved one, or with heightened knowledge. The ability to enter the realm of the dead while still alive, and to return, is a proof of the classical hero's exceptional status as more than mortal.

List of virgin births
http://en.wikipedia....f_virgin_births

Stories of miracle births often include miraculous conceptions and features such as intervention by a deity, supernatural elements, astronomical signs, hardship or in the case of some mythologies complex plots related to creation.

Further information: Myth of Osiris and Isis and Horus
In Upper Egypt, Net was worshipped at Seni and represented with the head of a lioness painted green, with the titles: "Father of fathers and Mother of mothers," and "net-Menhit, the great lady, lady of the south, the great cow who gave birth to the sun, who made the germ of gods and men, the mother of Ra, who raised up Tem in primeval time, who existed when nothing else had being, and who created that which exists after she had come into being."

Lineal descent from Ra, whether by birth or by marriage, was claimed by all kings of Egypt at least since User-ka-f, first king of the Vth Dynasty, who was high priest of Re at Heliopolis. An important part of this tradition was the legend of the God Re generating with the wife of a priest. "The newborn child was regarded as a god incarnate, and later with appropriate ceremonies he was presented to Re or Amen-Re, in his temple, where the god accepted it and acknowledged it to be his child."

Many texts mention different attributes of Isis were combined, Plutarch in the 1st century AD [describes] her [as] protector of Egypt and its people, with huge outspread wings. She taught [agriculture and medicine]. She instituted the rite of marriage.

When her consort, Osiris, left Egypt to travel the world, Isis ruled the country in his absence. "The hieroglyph for her name is the image of a throne, and her lap came to be seen as the throne of Egypt. [charioteer - throne flanked by lions] Because of her fame Isis eventually absorbed the qualities of almost all the other goddesses; "she was a great mother goddess, a bird goddess, a goddess of the underworld who brought life to the dead, and a goddess of the primeval waters...Her following spread beyond Egypt to Greece and throughout the Roman Empire...(lasting) from before 3000 BC until well into Christian times.

725px-Phoenician_alphabet.svg.png

http://en.wikipedia....nician_alphabet
Phoenician became one of the most widely used writing systems, spread by Phoenician merchants across the Mediterranean world, where it was assimilated by many other cultures and evolved. The Aramaic alphabet, a modified form of Phoenician, was the ancestor of the modern Arabic and Hebrew scripts. The Greek alphabet (and by extension its descendants such as the Latin, the Cyrillic and the Coptic), was a direct successor of Phoenician, though certain letter values were changed to represent vowels.

The Proto-Sinaitic alphabet was in use from ca. 1850 BC in the Sinai by Canaanite speakers. There are sporadic attestations of very short Proto-Sinaitic inscriptions in Canaan in the late Middle and Late Bronze Age, but the script was not widely used until the rise of new Semitic kingdoms in the 13th and 12th centuries BC. The oldest known inscription that goes by the name of Phoenician is the Ahiram epitaph, engraved on the sarcophagus of King Ahiram from circa 1200 BC. It has become conventional to refer to the script as "Proto-Canaanite" until the mid-11th century, when it is first attested on inscribed bronze arrowheads, and as "Phoenician" only after 1050 BC.

The Phoenician adaptation of the alphabet was extremely successful, and variants were adapted around the Mediterranean from about the 9th century, notably giving rise to the Greek, Old Italic, Anatolian and Paleohispanic scripts. The alphabet's success was due in part to its phonetic nature; Phoenician was the first widely used script in which one sound was represented by one symbol.

The phonology of Greek being different from that of Phoenician, the Greeks modified the Phoenician script to better suit their language. It was particularly more important in Greek to write out vowel sounds: Phoenician being a Semitic language, words were based on consonantal roots that permitted extensive removal of vowels without loss of meaning, a feature absent in the Indo-European Greek. For this reason the Greeks adapted some of the signs of the Phoenician script that represented unused consonants for vowels.

http://en.wikipedia....nician_language
Phoenician was a language originally spoken in the coastal (Mediterranean) region then called "Canaan" in Phoenician, Arabic, Hebrew, and Aramaic, "Phoenicia" in Greek and Latin, and "Pūt" in Ancient Egyptian. Phoenician is a Semitic language of the Canaanite subgroup; its closest living relative is Hebrew, to which it is very similar; then Aramaic, then Arabic. The area where Phoenician was spoken includes modern-day Lebanon, coastal Syria, Palestine, northern Israel (as well as parts of Cyprus – along with Greek – and, at least as a prestige language, in some adjacent areas of Anatolia). It was also spoken in the area of Phoenician colonization along the coasts of the South-Western Mediterranean, including, notably, those of modern Tunisia and Algeria, as well as Malta, the west of Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica and southernmost Spain.

http://en.wikipedia....anite_languages
The Canaanite languages, together with the Aramaic languages and Ugaritic, form the Northwest Semitic subgroup. Some distinctive features of Canaanite in relation to Aramaic are: [Hebrew and its subgroups are the only surviving Canaanite languages]

The prefix 'h-' used as the definite article (whereas Aramaic has a postfixed -a). This seems to be an innovation of Canaanite.
The first person pronoun being (anok(i)) (versus Aramaic – any) – which is similar to Akkadian, Ancient Egyptian and Berber.
The *ā > ō vowel shift (Canaanite shift), still prevalent in certain villages of northern Lebanon ex: Ehden and Zgharta .

Ideographic rather than phonetic writing characterizes the Turanian races. Massive architectural remains, and a religion of nature worship from the highest to the lowest (fetish)[fertility] kind, are found in all the Mizraite and Cushite settlements; and the language is partly Turanian, partly Semitic. The 22nd Egyptian dynasty, to which Zerah the Cusbite who invaded Asa belonged, contains names of Babylonian origin, Shishak = Sheshak, Namuret = Nimrod, Tekhit = Tiglath. (See BABEL.)

Fenius Farsa (Phoenisusa Farsaidh), the 14th generation in male descent from Adam via Japheth and Magog, studied the tower of Babel after God confused the languages in the land of Shinar (Sennar). He was the inventor of the first alphabet, which is ancient and is called Phoenician after his name. It consists of 16 letters. The Phoenician has the same number of letters as ancient Gaelic, which also has 16. O'Hart says Gaelic is 11 consonants (BLFSNDTCMGR) plus five vowels (AOUEI). As Fenius Farsa was the King of Scythia, he traveled by necessity to the land of Shinar, for it was where he built a school. It was under the rule of Ninus in the land of Shinar that the tower of Babel first was begun and prematurely abandoned, following Jehovah's confusion of the languages (cf Ge 10:10; 11:1-9). It is according to O'Hart that the Scythian language is protected and preserved by the distance, this Celtic or Gaelic being the language first perfected for the son of Fenius Farsa, Niul (after whom the Nile River is named) by the learned Gael (Gaodhal), after which it (the language) was also named Gaodhilg or Gaelic. (Irish Pedigrees, p. 28, 30 John O'Hart)

Bela the son of Beor ruled Edom, followed by Jobab a son of Zerah (Ge 36:32,33). The similarity of `Bela' to `Beli' (Beldeg, Baldr), who we proposed was a son of Odin (Valdr, Ward Green) is noteworthy, to say the least. The name of Zerah has been considered at length in the lineage of the Trojan Kings, called Sicambrian Kings before they became know as Frankish Kings from the time of Franco in 41 BCE. Zerah was a son of Judah, and it has been said that Dardanus the son of Zerah founded Troy (eg the writings of Jewish first-century historian Josephus, mentioning Danaus, C. Ap. 1.103, who was called Hermeus, who had a brother Aegyptus, saying that Danaus fled to Argos in Greece 393 years after the Israelites left Egypt) traveling from Argos to the area near what was to be the city of Troy, named after his son Tros. Danaüs is the son of Belus and Anchinoë according to Peck. Belus is ``identified with Zeus'' in Perseus Encyclopedia. (Valdr, Ward Green; Compendium of World History, Vol 2, Ch 12A, Herman L. Hoeh; Contra Apionem, 1.103, 1.227, Flavius Josephus; Harper's Dictionary of Classical Antiquities, 1898, Harry Thurston Peck; Perseus Encyclopedia)

Iarbanel is clearly stated to be a descendant (“son of”) Nemedh, the Hebrew chieftain. This obviously makes Larbanel also a Hebrew. Furthermore, Iarbanel is also unique in that he is called a prophet, the only one of Nemedh’s descendants so called.

Nor is Larbanel the only name by which he is known in Irish history. He is also found in the Milesian story as well. Again, Keating, in his account of founders of a sort of school established by Fenius Farsa in Egypt after the Tower of Tahpanhes was abandoned. He writes, “The three sages that held the chief direction of this great school were Fenius Farsa from Scythia; Gaedal, son of Ethor, of the race of Gomer, from Greece; and Caei, the Eloquent (or the Just), from Judea, or Iar (Iarbanel], son of Nemha [Nemedh], as others call him ...“.

http://remnantway.1f...sraelite-nation
[In] the Leabhar Gabhala (Book of Conquests) agrees, adding that Iarbanel the Prophet was a Nemedian chief. (Though Iarbanel is called a “son” of Nemedh, this need not literally be true. It simply means he is a descendant of Nemedh.) The account reads: “Now as for Neimedh [Nemedh], he had four chiefs with him, Stain, Iarbanel the Prophet, Fergus Redside, and Ainnian. They were four sons of Neimedh”.(l 3)

Still another account names Nemedh the ancestor of the Danaans. Keating writes, “Some antiquarians say, that the nation, of whom we are now treating, were called Tuatha-De-Danaan.

All this need not be as confusing as it looks, as there is a common thread running through all these genealogies. Whether we speak of Nemedians, Fir-Bolgs (a branch of the Nemedians), Danaans, or Milesians, all these peoples were Hebrews. As the Nemedians preceded the other peoples, it is clear that the Irish historians have attempted to trace the lineage of their kings to this island’s earliest Hebrew ancestors.

The months were originally referred to in the Bible by number rather than name. Only four pre-exilic month names appear in the Tanakh (the Hebrew Bible): Aviv (first; literally "Spring", but originally probably meant the ripening of barley), Ziv (second; literally "Light"), Ethanim (seventh; literally "Strong" in plural, perhaps referring to strong rains), and Bul (eighth), and all are Canaanite names, and at least two are Phoenician (Northern Canaanite). It is possible that all of the months were initially identifiable by native Jewish numbers or foreign Canaanite/Phoenician names, but other names do not appear in the Bible.

In about 560 AD, the Byzantine Emperor Justinian appropriated eight of the columns for the basilica of Hagia Sophia in Constantinople (Istanbul). The ceiling of the portico is of carved limestone decorated with scenes of the gods in action--Vulcan with his hammer, Diana with her bow and quiver of arrows, a winged Victory. Excavations indicate the site was occupied as early as 2300 BC by the Phoenicians, a sea-faring people known in the Bible as the Canaanites who worshipped the god Baal. When Alexander the Great marched through the Beqa'a Valley on the way to Damascus in 334 BC, Baalbek was known as Heliopolis, the "city of the sun," the name given to this important religious center by the Ptolemies of Egypt, the rulers of the time.

In many of the Crimea cemetery monuments we find frequent reference to the house of Omri, Khomri, Kymri, Camera, and Cimmerian. The same names me found in Assyrian and Greek writings and always spoken of as connected with the captivity of Israel. An example is an Assyrian tablet of Esarhaddon (681 B.C.) that bears the name of "Teuspa the Cimmerian," whom it was said, was the leader of the tribe from Israel who loved freedom more than life.

The Pyrgi Tablets are [a record of] three golden leaves [regarding] a dedication made around 500 BC by Thefarie Velianas, king of Caere, to the Phoenician goddess Ashtaret. Pyrgi was the port of the southern Etruscan town of Caere. Two of the tablets are inscribed in the Etruscan language, the third in Phoenician. These writings found in a 1964 excavation of a sanctuary of ancient Pyrgi on the Tyrrhenian coast of Italy.

The Tjeker conquered the city-state of Dor, on the coast of Canaan near modern Haifa, and turned it into a large, well-fortified city, the center of a Tjeker kingdom that is confirmed archaeologically in the northern Sharon plain; it was violently destroyed in the mid-11th century BCE, firing the mud bricks red and depositing a huge layer of ash and debris. Ephraim Stern connects the destruction with the contemporary expansion of the Phoenicians, which was checked by the Philistines further south and the Israelites. No mention of the Tjeker is made after that time, the period of archaeological and literary silence. The Tjeker are one of the few of the Sea Peoples for whom a ruler's name is recorded - in the 11th-century papyrus account of Wenamun, an Egyptian priest, the ruler of Dor is given as "Beder". After two intermediate occupations, the earlier of which has yielded imported Cypriote ceramics as well as Phoenician wares and is followed by a well-stratified and important Phoenician presence in the early 10th century the site of Dor fell to the Israelites under David.

Wickerman here [who I agree with alot in this thread] states :

Are you familiar with the Cinekoy bilingual?
"The base bears a short, eleven-clause bilingual inscription in Hieroglyphic Luwian and Phoenician very close in style to that of the Karatepe inscription. The author gives his name as Warika (Phoen. w [...]), who may be confidently identified with Awariku, king of Adana (wa) named in the Karatepe inscription. Warika styles himself as "son of [...], grandson of [Mukjsa (Phoen. "descendant ('sph) of MPS"), kingb of Hiyawa (= Phoen. DNNYM)." Among the notable features of the. inscription are the claim of descent from Muksa/MPS (i.e., Mopsos of Greek legend) and the equation of Phoenician DNNYM not with Adana(wa) as in Karatepe, but with Hiyawa, It is clear that this latter toponym is reflected in the Assyrian name for Plain Cilicia, Qawe/Que, normally determined KUR "land," but URU "city" by Shalmaneser III in a context that suggests it refers specifically to the city Adana unattested in Assyrian sources. This is supported by the fact the mvQue is the Assyrian designation of the province of Cilicia, named, as was usual, after the capital city. In Luwiân térras^ it would seem that Hiyawa referred to the country and Adana (wa) to the city. "CILICIA, THE AMUQ, AND ALEPPO: NEW LIGHT IN A DARK AGE, David J Hawkins, 2009. It appears from this that Adana was bilingual, Luwian/Phoenician. No evidence of Adana speaking Greek in the 8th century BCE.

Without going into to much detail here, [keywords: Luwain, Phoenician, [Hebrew - Danaan, Trojan - Luwain, Greek], Cilicia & Taurus connections highly mythogized, Mopsus, Hiyawa (= Phoen. DNNYM), KUR, [Carian, David's bodyguards, marsh dwellers, Pan, Heruli].

Historical sources such as Strabo, though not entirely reliable, state that the Phoenicians traded tin with Cornwall. There is no archaeological evidence for this. Some modern historians have attempted to debunk earlier antiquarian constructions of "the Phoenician legacy of Cornwall."

http://en.wikipedia....nwall_and_Devon
Mining in Cornwall has existed from the early Bronze Age around 2150 BC. Cornwall was traditionally thought to have been visited by metal traders from the eastern Mediterranean. However, it is likely that the tin trade with the Mediterranean was controlled by the Veneti. Britain was one of the places proposed for the Cassiterides, that is Tin Islands.

As demand for bronze grew in the Middle East the local supplies of tin ore (casserite) became used up and searches were made over all the known world for new supplies, including Britain. Control of the tin trade seems to have been in Phoenician hands and they kept their sources secret. The Greeks understood that tin came from the Cassiterides, the "tin islands", of which the geographical identity is debated.

By 500 BC Hecataeus knew of islands beyond Gaul where tin was obtained. Pytheas of Massalia travelled to Britain about 325 BC where he found a flourishing tin trade, according to the late report of his voyage. Posidonius referred to the tin trade with Britain around 90 BC but Strabo in about 18 AD did not list tin as one of Britain's exports. This is likely to be because Rome was obtaining its tin from Spain at the time. Camden identified the Cassiterides with the Scilly Isles and gave first currency to the belief that the Phoenicians traded to Britain. However, there is no tin mining on the Scilly Isles apart from minor exploratory excavations. Timothy Champion found it likely that the trade of the Phoenicians with Britain was indirect and under the control of the Veneti of Brittany. The Rillaton Cup and the Pelynt Dagger are two artifacts that have been found in Cornwall that show contact with the Mycenaean Greek world.

The Abbe de Fontenu proved that the Phoenicians, the name by which the tribe of Asher was known after the Conquest of the Phoenician territory, had an established trade with Britain before the Trojan war, 1190 B.C. Admiral Himilco of Carthage, who visited Britain about the sixth century B.C. to explore 'the outer parts of Europe', records that the Britons were 'a powerful race, proud-spirited, effectively skilful in art, and constantly busy with the cares of trade.

Early antiquarian scholar, Aylett Sammes, published his extensive research in 1676 in a work entitled, THE ANTIQUITIES OF ANCIENT BRITAIN DERIVED FROM THE PHOENICIANS. He pointed out (p. 58) that the Danites were also known in British history as 'Damnonii,'but that 'the transposition is very easy and usual, and hides not at all the original, Dan.'The Danites settled especially in southwestern Britain's 'Phoenician' tin districts, he says, adding that in this area many rivers, cities, and hills have names compounded with the tribal name, 'Dan.'

THE HEBREW - CELTIC CONNECTION (Language, Cultural and Religious Ties! - A Missing Link In Fulfilled Prophecy)
THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN THE EARLY IRISH-CELTIC AND THE 2ND CENTURY, B.C., HEBREW-PHOENICIAN LANGUAGE, AS SHOWN BY THE PENULUS OF PLAUTUS:

PHOENICIAN OF PLAUTUS:
Byth lym mo thym nociothii nel ech an ti daisc machon
Ys i do iebrim thyfe lyth chy lya chon temlyph ula.

EARLY IRISH-CELTIC:
Beth liom' mo thime nociaithe, niel ach an ti dairie mae coinne
Is i de leabhraim tafach leith, chi lis con teampluibh ulla.

In 1772, General Charles Vallancey, a leading Irish scholar of the day, published his famous work, Essay On The Antiquity Of The Irish Language, Being A Collation Of The Irish With The Punic (Hebrew) Language. In his opening remarks he states, 'On a collation of the Irish with the Celtic, Punic, Phoenician and Hebrew languages, the strongest affinity, (nay a perfect Identity in very many Words) will appear, it may therefore be deemed a Punic-Celtic compound.' Vallancey continues, 'from the Hebrew proceeded the Phoenician, from the Phoenician, Carthaginian, or Punic was derived the Aeolian, Dorian and Etruscan and from these was formed the Latin ... Of the Roman Saxon capital letters, the Irish use but three, all the others bear a very great resemblance to the primitive Hebrew and Phoenician.' (p. 2-3)

http://planetvermont.../megaliths.html
The Phoenicians and the Kelts lived in Iberia together for generations—perhaps as long as 500 years side by side. They were ancient enemies of the Romans, great warriors, tradesmen and seamen. It would seem logical that they would venture together across the Atlantic for economic opportunities and to find freedom from Roman oppression. Judging from the similarity of the megalithic structures found ... in Spain, Brittany, Portugal and Britain and ... because it was these same Kelts who had lived side by side with the Phoenicians in ancient Iberian seafaring settlements, exchanging writing styles and languages. Further, the linguistic idiosyncrasies found beside the Keltic inscriptions at Mystery Hill appeared to be unique to a Punic style used in the period from 800 to 500 B.C.

http://www.biblebeli...ation04.htm#THE
The early Irish historians further deduced their origins lay with the Phoenician colonists who had also previously settled that Spanish Peninsula, later to migrate to Ireland. In this context it is of additional interest to note that the ancient Greeks once held the Phoenician nation to have been founded by Phoenix, whose brother Cadmus had invented the alphabet. Likewise, the Irish also recalled the time when they lived under a king named "Phenius, who devoted himself especially to the study of languages, and composed an alphabet and the elements of grammar." It is agreed among scholars the system of alphabetic writing originated among the Phoenicians, and this is deduced from hard and independent archaeological evidence, not Irish myths. So it is clear at the very least, the early Irish chroniclers were passing on an account, albeit garbled in places, of authentic historical events, and of the equally historic descent of their own race from Phoenician and/or Scythian stock (see Table 1).

All that is lacking is some kind of genetic proof that Phoenicians and Jews traveled to Britain 'in ancient time', but it appears that cold science has now provided further evidence of this. So, I’ll let Keith tell his story in his own words and you can make of it what you will. 'My motivation for testing my DNA came from my interest in tracing my family and constructing my Family Tree. I have been tracing my family for a few years and after reading about DNA testing and watching TV programs, one in particular that caught my attention was about the National Geographic Genographic Project. It appealed to me to let them do the testing, because it not only gave me the information I was looking for, but it also added to our greater knowledge of the movement of human beings around the planet.' Keith then goes on to say that when he first decided to try to trace his family, he did so out of curiosity and because of medical reasons. He describes two inherited ailments that haven’t really bothered him, but he’s certain that one of them was passed down to him by females on one side of his family. 'I had a feeling it had been passed to me by my mother but I had no proof of this, so tracing my Wilce family and later testing my DNA would give me a clue.

'Imagine my surprise when my MT DNA came back as possible Ashkenazi Jewish Ancestry, Haplogroup K, semi refined to K2b, and my Y Chromosome DNA as Haplogroup T-M70 with possible Phoenician Ancestry! Shocked wasn’t the word for it. My MT Haplogroup K DNA, through Family Tree DNA, yielded a total of 2780 Matches worldwide, with 900 close matches. My Y DNA yielded only 2 matches! Of course, these are only matches against those that have tested their DNA, but even so I was staggered by the rarity of my Male DNA lineage. In Wales the percentage of the population with the T-M70 DNA is only half a percent around 2,000 people. The percentages are very small in Europe; 0.5% in England and Scotland, it’s a bit higher in southern Spain and the South of France, and it’s very high in Ibiza and Sicily. Of course, it’s found in Turkey, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt and other parts of the Middle East.' I can understand Keith’s reaction upon learning that he had Phoenician and Jewish ancestry, so it didn’t surprise me when I read his next thoughts on the possible implications of this. '2,000 people in Wales could mean one common ancestor 80 generations, 2,000 years ago? It’s not beyond the bounds of probability.' Indeed not. 'National Geographic say that it is believed the Phoenicians carried the DNA around the Mediterranean.

http://plato.stanfor...es/nothingness/
Why is there something rather than nothing?’, namely, ‘There must not only be something but there must not be any emptiness at all!’.

Parmenides maintained that it is self-defeating to say that something does not exist. The linguistic rendering of this insight is the problem of negative existentials: ‘Atlantis does not exist’ is about Atlantis. A statement can be about something only if that something exists. No relation without relata! Therefore, ‘Atlantis does not exist’ cannot be true. Parmenides and his disciples elaborated conceptual difficulties with negation into an incredible metaphysical monolith.

The Parmenideans were opposed by the atomists. The atomists said that the world is constituted by simple, indivisible things moving in empty space. They self-consciously endorsed the void to explain empirical phenomena such as movement, compression, and absorption.

Cosmology, the Universe, & Evolution

Theoretical physicist Lawrence M. Krauss joins John B. Wells (email) to provide revelatory answers to the most basic philosophical questions: Where did our universe come from? Why is there something rather than nothing?

http://www.physorg.c...y-universe.html
The earliest philosophers argued that out of nothing, nothing comes (ex nihilo, nihil fit). This ignited intense philosophical and theological debates and invoked challenging questions over the coming centuries. How could our universe in all its complexity come into existence from absolute nothingness, if nothing comes from nothing? In his new book, "A Universe from Nothing: Why There is Something Rather than Nothing.

Everything that we know about the universe allows for it to come from nothing, and moreover all the data is consistent with this possibility," says Krauss, who teaches in the School of Earth and Space Exploration and the Department of Physics in ASU's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.

the question of creating something from nothing is first and foremost a scientific one—as the very notions of 'something' and 'nothing' have been completely altered as a result of our current scientific understanding. science has literally changed the playing field for this big question. The latest physics research into the origins of the universe shows that, not only can our universe arise from nothing, but more generally, the laws of quantum mechanics and relativity imply that something will generally always arise from nothing.
