Yeah I kinda was joking. But sometimes it's true. If we put our efforts towards helping God he helps us to do it I think. So in a way it is true. And I think he wants us to survive too, so he helps with that also when we try to survive.

I was smiling when I wrote that but I think it comes across snippy. :p just be careful. People get really touchy about the word "effort".
