That isn't a command. It's a prophesy, I believe. When Eve sinned, she set into motion a set of circumstances that would result in her husband ruling over her.

Take the whole Bible in context. Where do Jesus or God ever say man is to rule over women? Remember when God put Deborah in charge of Israel?

Back in the old days most people got Thanksgiving off, and I imagine many still do, but in our competitive environment, more and more, retail businesses like to stay operational on holidays, it seems to me. I'm retired now and took in a movie on Thanksgiving day.
