    Just For Catholics.

Those are nice verses but they are the consequences of baptism. None of them describe "born again" according to John 3:5. You refuse to accept the plain words of Jesus in His definition by spiritualizing water AND the spirit.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

It's time for a history lesson. The Obelisk in the Piazza di San Pietro The obelisks of the Piazza San Pietro, Piazza dell’ Esuilino, and the Piazza del Quirinale are all uninscribed. Their dates, provenances, and the reasons they were left uninscribed are not known…Neither Flinders Petrie...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Sola Scriptura: Formal versus Material Sufficiency The difference here is between a blueprint to make a building, and the bricks of which the building is made. A merely materially sufficient Scripture is like a pile of bricks that can build anything from a cathedral to a tool shed, but the...

Both. The graphic is a stupid non-sequitur fallacy made by the blind that appeals to stupid people.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

The Catholic Church has always had the last 3 solas. The so called reformers borrowed them wholesale to beef up the first two inventions. You change the "facts" by changing history, to force fit history to match your man made system. That's one reason why you ignore the Early Church Fathers...

    Just For Catholics.

Jesus defines "born again" in John 3:5. Accepting Jesus as personal savior and/or having an emotional moral renewal are all well and good, but it is not "born again". Why don't you come up with a definition that is agreeable to all Protestants? You have an earthly house of God with no physical...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

A virtue is a habit that perfects the powers of the soul and disposes you to do good. Catholics believe that divine grace is offered to the soul, because without God’s help, humans can’t do good on their own. Grace, which is God’s intervention, bolsters a person’s soul, providing the necessary...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

"ME, the Bible and the Holy Spirit" DOES NOT EQUAL "I AM" YOU are not HIM. "ME, the Bible and the Holy Spirit" is a mentality that undermines the unity of Christians because supreme authority settles on the individual. It's never worked due to the absence of virtue. Read my signature.

    "Husband of one wife"

In the Old Testament, God tolerated polygamy for a certain time, as it appears from the examples of men such as Abraham, Jacob, and David. But with the proclamation of the New Law, this concession, almost wrested from by God by reason of the moral obtuseness of man, was revoked. Marriage was...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

You have no history, Scott. "ME, the Bible and the Holy Spirit" as the one and only authority is an ideology that is not in the Bible.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

The Church has NEVER recognized forced conversions as valid, even when instigated by power hungry kings. "This was dobe by force of arms in times past" is typical false history of cults that have popped up in the last 200 years. The reason they are forced to demonize the historic institutional...

Paul the apostle was CHOSEN by Christ, but no where in scripture does he replace anyone. So the scriptures, as you interpret them, are unfortunate. For God to chose succeeding candidates without human action is unbiblical and not God's design, and Peter is not a con man playing games, Acts 1:2...

The Difference Between Fundamentalist (SOME) and The Rest Of Us.

I have the same problem. I am trying to cleanup my posts, trying to be more charitable. But it's hard when certain people stick to the same foolish straw man fallacies over and over again. I ignore as a last resort.

    Why do we need priests?

2 Cor. 5[20] Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. as though God did beseech you by us lends itself to the notion of apostolic succession. "us" can only mean the Apostles, and the "you" is in...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

This title was used by pagan Roman emperors who were Supreme High Priests of all Pagan religions. Ambrose of Milan told Emperor Gratian not to use this title because it was pagan. Pontifex is Latin word which in Greek is often translated Archiereus (Arch priest). In Book of Hebrews 4,14 Christ...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

I disagree. Scott has his private version of Christianity that is removed from reformist founders. He is his own authority claiming the spirit reveals truth to him that supersedes everyone else's opinions, be they true or not. That makes him a true Protestant.
