    HTML test

Some sites replace the "<" and ">" symbols with "[" and "]" when allowing users to insert HTML to their posts. Let's see if that works here. Test1Test2 Test3Test4 Guess not... :(

    Ignore, not ignore

Is there a way to ignore threads? For example, I would like to ignore all threads that contain a certain word in their title.

    "Father Forgive them..."

I always read this as forgiveness for all mankind. I also see this as less of a prayer and more of a blessing. Jesus is fulfilling his purpose as savior.

Forgiveness can only be for Past Sinning.

Logic is not sufficient in matters of spirit. We can't think our way to God.

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

I think I understand what you are saying. You are saying that either Adam & Eve had legitimate free will and chose to disobey God or that God, knowing they would disobey him, crafted them in such a way as to ensure their fall, thus obviating any notion of free will on their behalf. If this is...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Matt, Thank you for creating this topic. I don't think any minds were changed but at least we solidified our apologetics. Keep up the insights. They are much enjoyed. Jason

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

We're almost seeing eye to eye. I think the confusion is simply our misreading words. We both agree that Jesus hungered, felt pain, felt tired, etc. He was human. We also agree that he desired above all to obey God. Thus when tempted after fasting 40 days, as hungry and weak as he was he...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Good. We have established that Jesus was different. In what way? Did this difference make it impossible for him to sin? If we say yes then the temptations were meaningless. Did he have the potential to disobey? If we say no then he lacked true free will. But if we could be tempted yet was not...

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

Was Jesus human, yes or no? It's that simple. If you say no, then what was he? A God/human hybrid? A human 2.0? That's really all anyone is asking in this thread.

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

I see Jesus as a union of God and man. He is the fulcrum around which everything turns. It is because he is human that he can speak on our behalf. It is because he is God he can speak on behalf of the Father.

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

By the same token it's equally preposterous that Jesus had no potential to fail. He was tempted. The temptation was real. It's because he did not succumb to temptation that he was without sin, not because he was incapable of sin.

Was Jesus/Yeshua born with a Sin Nature?

The phrase "sin nature" confuses me so I'll disregard it for now. Are you asking if Jesus is human, as in 100% fully flesh and blood like the rest of us? To that I say yes, absolutely. If he were not so then he could not unify us with God. That said, he is also 100% God. Hence he can unify God...

Profound Thoughts That Pop into Your Head

God speaks with the voice of a cool, mountain spring. You can hear him when you are quiet. God also speaks with the voice of thunder. You can't ignore him, no matter how hard you try.

The Idea of Worshiping The Word of God

John 1 refers to Jesus when it says "Word" (Greek "Logos"). It does not refer to scripture.
