I see Jesus as a union of God and man. He is the fulcrum around which everything turns. It is because he is human that he can speak on our behalf. It is because he is God he can speak on behalf of the Father.

By the same token it's equally preposterous that Jesus had no potential to fail. He was tempted. The temptation was real. It's because he did not succumb to temptation that he was without sin, not because he was incapable of sin.
