If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Except you have no proof or evidence of such a god, other than mumbojumbo, goal post moving, mental gymnastics. God is literally Santa Claus for adults.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

False. You can find a plethora of videos with Catholics or Protestants talking about how the others are heretics. Many Baptists consider Catholics to be idol worshippers and focused on works rather than faith. You also forgot 16. Romanov2448 thinks both Protestants and Catholics are lost. Here...

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

“Do onto others as you would have others do onto you” is not monopolized by Christianity and is as such, not a Christian principle. “There’s still hope for atheists” is also coming from a condescending place and then you wonder why some atheists can be very condescending.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

I just thought it was funny watching a guy constantly go on about some other guy from City Data. Didn’t want to spoil the fun for myself. Leave things up to your imagination…to see if maybe you’d think God made you run into me yet again…

God could be sending you all these Romanovs so you can realize how fast asleep you’ve been. I don’t know, he works in mysterious ways

The past and future do not exist, the eternal now is all there is.

Substances have an appearance, they stand out. I didn’t say the older I get the better I am. I asked what part of your experience never changes?

The past and future do not exist, the eternal now is all there is.

You basically shared an article where the author is strawmanning what Einstein said. The author of that article is making a case against a block-like universe. I think time is an illusion, but that doesn’t mean I think that we are in a block-unvierse. Time is very real-but only real to the...

I have never heard of City Data, you’re being delusional here. I have nothing against spirituality, what I am against is bogus spirituality.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

You give off the impression that you dislike critical thinking so I’m making it easier for you to admit it if that’s the case. If you are unable to apply critical thinking to everything, then you’re biased and hypocritical. You are now resorting to defense mechanisms by projecting that I’m...

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Belief is the arrogant man’s tool. He believes because he doesn’t know. Belief is a cover up for a deeper issue, a deeper fear. The moment you believe something-anything, you automatically create its opposite: doubt. Doubt is not a sin, it is a sign of intelligence.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

That’s called hypocrisy. You’re willing to selectively apply critical thinking to everything else BUT your own beliefs. Questioning oneself is the beginning of critical thinking. Starting from the periphery makes you a hypocrite.

If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Ah so you admit critical thinking is bad because it goes against God. We wouldn’t have cars on the road if we thought critical thinking was bad did you know that? Maybe you just have an issue with critical thinking not because it goes against any “god”, but because it exposes the frail house of...

The past and future do not exist, the eternal now is all there is.

There is one part of me that doesn’t change and that is the consciousness with which I notice change. Everything else is just the play of consciousness, the dream in other words. Consciousness alone is.

The past and future do not exist, the eternal now is all there is.

“Here” comes in many forms and manifestations, but here is always here. You know your thoughts and dreams with the same consciousness as mine. Consciousness connects us, only the contents differ. We are all “aware”. What we are aware of is what differs. Only time I’ll use the word “God” is...

No, Einstein also said time is an illusion. Also all appearances come and go within something. What part of your experience never changes?

The past and future do not exist, the eternal now is all there is.

The matrix is just a good metaphor for how people become slaves of society. Whether you are in a material world or on some spiritual place, will it still not be “here”? Whether you are in Maine or Hawaii, your consciousness is always just “here”. Everything else is just an appearance we get...
