    Did the events that Jesus predicted happen within that generation before the city and the temple fell? Why does Jesus repeatedly use the term “you will” when speaking to the deciples in the Olivit discourse?

    What OT Israel missed is that they didn't know that the Messiah was also God. He would save them from their sins not Roman occupation . Jesus wasn't killed for claiming to be the Messiah He was killed for claiming to be God

    David my post #18 answers some of this Rome was made up of many concurred nations so the nations did gather around Jerusalem Revelation 20:7-9 does not mention Jerusalem it mentions the camp of Gods people the city He loves. We the church are now the city God loves

    My view is that the “in that day” is talking about Jesus ushering in the New Covenant which happened in the first advent

    I believe that it was John the apostle remember even John the Baptist questionEd if Jesus was the messiah when he was already in prison right before he died He would of been confident after seeing Jesus in revelation chapter one if he wrote revelation

    But Jesus was speaking directly to the religious leaders in Matthew 23 and that’s what I was talking about It’s okay if you don’t agree with what you replied too here you will never agree no matter what scriptures I provide
