Are the ANOINTED only among the Jehovah's Witnesses?

Thank you for confirming that it is just an idea in your imagination. The following Bible passage is an Ode to a human king of Israel, not a god: Psalm 45:6 God is your throne forever and ever; The scepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness. 7 You loved righteousness, and you hated...

Are the ANOINTED only among the Jehovah's Witnesses?

The "God of gods" is not supposed to call anyone else God, because he is the God above all others. Dan. 2:47 The king said to Daniel: “Truly your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a Revealer of secrets, because you were able to reveal this secret.” But Jesus has a God. John 20:17...

James 2 No such thing as faith without works

In the Scriptures there is a stark contrast between people who will live forever and people who will be destroyed. This contrast is not an arbitrary decision based on some mental idea that each person has of himself and his future, but on a classification that will depend on the decision that...

Where in the Bible are we told to pray to the Holy Spirit?

Another biblical reason why we understand that it is not appropriate to pray to the holy spirit is that the ancient servants of God asked God Himself to allow them to continue enjoying that spirit of Him in their lives. Here, for example: Psal. 51:11 Do not throw me away from before your face...

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

Some needed clarification: I didn't mean "lost" in that sense. I meant "lost" about what the inspired Scriptures are. I don't think anyone is lost or saved (in the other sense) at this very moment; since thereis still some time left before the great tribulation. Have a good one.

    Apokatastasis in the early church

Evidently there are persons who will never be saved, so ... You need to see the whole picture before interpreting things erroneously. Rev. 17:8 mentioned "those whose names have not been written in the scroll of life from the founding of the world". Obviously, those won't be saved as you think...

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

Again: Scriptures are not something men decide ... They are the ones God inspired to be recorded to our knowledge. You need to discern the diference between both. Until next time.

    Apokatastasis in the early church

ALL in Greek doesn't mean the same we mean today. Most times is about a subset of a bigger set. I could mention many biblical examples to show you, but I really have not time right now. Have a good one.

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

You are lost ... You don't know what the Scriptures are. They are the ones that were recorded under inspiration. Not what Catholics choose, not what non-Christians want to add, not what anyone left over after taking out what he doesn't like, etc. To know what is Scriptures and what is not, you...

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

Do you? 2 Tim. 3:16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. Jesus said "the scripture...

    Apokatastasis in the early church

Consider ALL as a name ... it never goes without last name. The last name is in the context, like here: 1 Cor. 15:27 For God “subjected all things under his feet.” But when he says that ‘all things have been subjected,’ it is evident that this does not include the One who subjected all things...

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

The lack of divine direction of the religious leaders of Christendom has confused them about what it means for the Scriptures to be inspired by holy spirit. They do not understand, much less their followers, that when God made everything to be registered in the Bible, he could not have given his...

    Apokatastasis in the early church

ALL in a specific and well-determined context.

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

No, it's not. For a doctrine to be biblical, it must have sufficient biblical support and be demonstrated without a doubt. Furthermore, it cannot contradict any fundamental teaching of Christ or that his followers have clearly expressed in their inspired writings.

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

That is false. Men can't invent what is truth or a religious lie or determine by themselves what God aproves or not. We need to study the Bible to know those things. We can't invent a god to our own liking, nor judge ourselves for the eternity under our own laws.

    Apokatastasis in the early church

It does not matter if after the second century some Christian apologist defended some belief that the Christian biblical Scriptures do not seem to clearly support... The Bible itself says that in times when the apostles were still alive there were individuals who also speculated on the things...

James 2 No such thing as faith without works

1 Cor. 6:9 Or do you not know that unrighteous people will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Do not be misled. Those who are sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality, 10 thieves, greedy people, drunkards, revilers, and extortioners will...

James 2 No such thing as faith without works

Obviously doing good works and not practicing the things that God condemns are not the only things that determine salvation, but their role in it is decisive. Psal. 37:10 Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. 11...

James 2 No such thing as faith without works

John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment. Rom. 1:28 Just as they did not see fit...
