Do you accept this a Biblical fact or fiction?:

I Am Ex. 3:15 "Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel I AM [ehyeh] hath sent me unto you. 15) And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, Jehovah [YHWH], the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath...

Do you accept this a Biblical fact or fiction?:

An alternate to the interpretation of John 20:28 by the WTS: To understand what may have been intended by Thomas, let’s first examine it as if the words were not directly applied to Jesus. Notice the parallel between 1 Samuel 20:12 (where Jonathan’s words appear to be directed to David...

Do you accept this a Biblical fact or fiction?:

#4 1 John 5:20 Let's examine the scriptural uses of the "true God" Strong's Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible shows only 5 places where this is used in the entire Bible: (1) 2 Chron. 15:3; (2) Jer. 10:10; (3) 1 Thess. 1:9; (4) 1 John 5:20; and (5) John 17:3. Jehovah's Witnesses teach...

Do you accept this a Biblical fact or fiction?:

#3 2 Peter 1:1 The very same objections to Titus 2:13 apply to 2 Peter 1:1, another Sharp’s ‘proof.’ The Roman Catholic scholar, Karl Rahner, commenting on 2 Peter 1:1, says that ‘God’ “here is clearly separated from ‘Christ’.” - Theological Investigations, Karl Rahner, pp. 136, 137, Vol.1...

Do you accept this a Biblical fact or fiction?:

#2 Titus 2:13 In an attempt to prove the trinity doctrine, Granville Sharp made up a rule in 1798. It is often called "Sharp's Rule" by trinitarians. It says, in effect, that when two or more words (nouns) in the original Greek New Testament (NT) text are joined by the word "and," they all...

Do you accept this a Biblical fact or fiction?:

Post #2 Christophany wrote: “Both are true and The Apostles ( Thomas, Paul, Peter and John) called Christ their God in John 20:28, Titus 2:13, 2 Peter 1:1 and 1 John 5:20. There are many other passages that refer to Christ as God as well.” I will answer these 4 examples in separate posts...

Why Do Jehovah's Witnesses Reject Blood Transfusions?

RN wrote above (#80): "and if you bothered to read the end, James said they would not sin, but do well or prosper. It is the Watchtower who made it a sin, not the church of God." And if you bothered to read the previous verse, you would see that these are requirements for Christians. Acts...

Why Do Jehovah's Witnesses Reject Blood Transfusions?

Good post! Just a clue, though, when you have a contraction (joining two words by leaving out a letter or so) the apostrophe nearly always goes where the missing letters were. For example, 'do not' becomes 'don't'; 'could not' becomes 'couldn't'.

The Case For The Triune GodHead!

GEN2REV writes: "For who is God save the Lord? (Jesus) or who is a Rock (Jesus) save our God?" (Psalm 18:31) A more accurate translation of the Hebrew text shows this verse should read: "For who is God save Jehovah [YHWH]? And who is a rock besides our God?" - ASV. "For who is God but Yahweh...

The Case For The Triune GodHead!

.............................. God said? Do you mean that man's translation of John's Greek writing is God's word? A careful examination of John's use of Greek grammar shows that he always intended an indefinite predicate noun ('a man,' 'a prophet,' 'a murderer,' etc.) in clauses which are...

The Case For The Triune GodHead!

Robert Derrick wrote: "The only Scripture necessary to prove the Son is God is John 1: And the Word was God. And the Word was made flesh." ..................................... Actually some trinitarian Greek experts and translators find a different translation for this verse. And my personal...

Why Do Jehovah's Witnesses Reject Blood Transfusions?

Acts 15:29 New American Standard Bible 29 that you abstain from things sacrificed to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from acts of sexual immorality; if you keep yourselves free from such things, you will do well. Farewell.” Some say that "abstain from blood" means do not eat...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

Hebrews 1:8 There is good evidence that the proper translation of Heb. 1:8 (as well as Ps. 45:6) should be “your throne is God forever” or “God is your throne forever.” If we look at some respected trinitarian authorities, we also see a preference for the “God is thy throne” rendering. Oxford...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

From my post #6 above: 1 Timothy 3:16 Noted Bible scholar Dr. Frederick C. Grant writes: “A capital example [of NT manuscript changes by copyists] is found in 1 Timothy 3:16, where ‘OS’ (OC or ὃς, ‘who’) was later taken for theta sigma with a bar above, which stood for theos (θεὸς, ‘god’)...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

Mt. 28:19 "...in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit." Trinitarian author Robert Reymond was quoted as saying about this scripture in his book Jesus the Divine Messiah, “what [Jesus] does say is this ... ‘into the name [singular] of the Father and of the Son, and of...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

Grace wrote (#44): ….…………………………………. Many trinitarians will tell you that, since the name “Jesus” (probably “Yehoshua” in Hebrew) means “Jehovah is Salvation” (or “Jehovah Saves”), then Jesus is Jehovah. If that were true, then all the other people in the Bible whose names had that same...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

............................ "Begotten” and “created” are English words carefully chosen by Bible translators to convey the meaning of the Hebrew and Greek words of the original manuscripts as closely as possible. So first we should determine what the words “created” and “begotten” actually...

Jesus IS God in the flesh!!

....................................... The trinitarian argument that Col. 2:9 proves that Jesus is God overlooks the common understanding of "fulness of ..." and "filled with ..." by those who used those common phrases in New Testament times. For example, the person who became "filled with Holy...
