    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

[/indent]I think you have it back to front. The evil figs were the ones who disobeyed God and went to egypt...the good figs were the ones carried away into captivity to Babylon. Whereas, God preserved those who remained faithful to him by having them carried captive into Babylon...they...

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

You've done well in taking the application further then the physical kingdom of Judah, which is the aspect that i have shown. I hope that Whirlwind will see that it has both a literal fulfillment and a wider spiritual fulfillment in Christs role as the messiah.

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

the only inheritance any of the children of Zedekiah were going to receive was calamity and destruction as Jeremiah warned Jeremiah 24:8-10 “So I shall give Zed‧e‧ki′ah the king of Judah and his princes and the remnant of Jerusalem who are remaining over in this land and those who are...

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

Im not sure why you are having an issue with the word twig. There are many similar words used in the hebrew such as “Sprout” (NW, Le) or “the Branch” (KJ, AT), “the Bud” (Ro) but the hebrew words she′vet and mat‧teh′ are translated as “rod” and they are also rendered as 'staff' or...

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

the reason why the daughters of Zelophehad were approved to recieve inheritence was because their father died without a male heir....Moses agreed that Zelophehad should not be deprived of an inheritence and so he approved of the daughters request. But do you know why he also imposed a condition...

that comment in itself is enough reason to reject the idea entirely.

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

hence why using the hebrew interlinear is a good idea because the translators have already dont the work for you. If you go in and have a look you'll see that they provide you with the hebrew text. the transliteration and the equivalent english words.

    Hebrew Interlinear

HEBREW INTERLINEAR This is well worth keeping bookmarked and using as a companion to our english translations...its gives the original words used which can assist in clearing up discrepencies between english translations of the text.

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

that is exactly what we should do, unfortunately we dont all speak the language but that doesnt mean we cant look at a hebrew interlinear to get a better idea of the original writings. i know research takes effort, but its well worth it.

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

Let me show you how the Hebrew Interlinear bible puts the verse of Isaiah 11:1 "and·he-comes-forth twig (chtr) from·set-slip-of Jesse and· from·roots-of·him" Now the King James does puts twig as 'rod' but in the original language the word means a small offshoot. The layer plant is...

Should A True Christian Teach Evolution In School?

the problem with evolution is that scientists claim that humans are decended from a common ancestor which implies that we were not created in the way that God said he created us according to science, no living creature was specially created....it decended from other existing lifeforms. thats...

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

Mr J.H Allen has come up with a purely speculative story whereas the scriptures are very clear about the identity of the 'lion of Judah' and the 'twig of Jesse' There is no evidence that Jeremiah traveled with zedekiahs daughters anywhere...its purely speculative but the information God...

    Elijah And The Dreadful Day

im not sure how it can happen spiritually but not literally. The fact is that since the 1st century many nations have been gathered to Christ literally speaking. There are christians in every nation on earth today so to say that the gathering has not happened literally cannot be quite right...

Should A True Christian Teach Evolution In School?

the earth and universe were already in existence before God began to prepare this planet for habitation. Gen 1:1 "God created the heavens and the earth" This could have been billions of years ago....the earth was an existing planet created along with the universe at some point in the ancient...

Should A True Christian Teach Evolution In School?

im aware that it was written earlier...and i used it to back up my comment that some years ago they believed our dna was even more similar then they think now....in another 5 years they'll likely discover it to be even less similar then their current understanding. Now about evolution has no...

    Jesus's Geneology

you're missing the fact that as Paul points out ( very well infact) that the divisions begin and end with the same name Abraham - David David - Jechonias Jeconias - Jesus

    Jesus's Geneology

try looking at Vs 11 & 12 11 "Jo‧si′ah became father to Jec‧o‧ni′ah and to his brothers at the time of the deportation to Babylon." 12 "After the deportation to Babylon Jec‧o‧ni′ah became father to She‧al′ti‧el; She‧al′ti‧el became father to Ze‧rub′ba‧bel; 13 Ze‧rub′ba‧bel became father...

    Jesus's Geneology

Yeah i see that the 3rd group of names after the deportation states 13 from the way you've written it, but have a look from vs 11 11 "Jo‧si′ah became father to Jec‧o‧ni′ah and to his brothers at the time of the deportation to Babylon." The 2nd lot of names ends here and it amounts to 14...
