    The Religion Box

Mysticism is the antithesis of faith. It requires switching off the mind in order to enter an altered state of consciousness, which naive people call communion with the holy spirit. Faith is being persuaded of GOD's mercy and faithfulness, being convinced that he is worthy of being trusted, and...

Oh LOL. With that statement I think the picture below would be a more appropriate avatar for you.

    Hello from HiddenManna

    You are blessed.

    The Religion Box

It's occultic roots. Christian mysticism seeks the esoteric meanings behind written words. Emanuel Swedenborg was a Christian mystic who stated, How many times have we heard Episkopos say essentially the same thing? GOD's work is plain and means exactly what it says. The meaning is only hidden...

    The Doctrine of OSAS

    No, frankly I got bored.

The Moral Law not Abrogated by Christ to Believers

When faith works, it bears these fruits: The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control. Against such things [there] is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 This is how we know we have a faith with works.

    Priesthood

Just a few: Therefore I exhort you, brothers, through the mercies of God, to present your bodies [as] a living sacrifice, holy [and] pleasing to God, [which is] your reasonable service. Romans 12:1 Therefore through him let us offer up a sacrifice of praise continually to God, that is, the...

    The Religion Box

You've finally been outed. Your walk is based on faith in the experience of communing with a spirit of some form of Christian mysticism.

    Strong Delusion

Thou shalt also make a laver [of] brass, and his foot [also of] brass, to wash [withal]: and thou shalt put it between the tabernacle of the congregation and the altar, and thou shalt put water therein. For Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and their feet thereat: When they go into the...

    Strong Delusion

You really don't understand anything about the cross and the gospel. You read a christian book and wear Christian clothes, but haven't yet come to a knowledge of the truth. Water made OT priests holy because that is the way GOD decided to do it. It is a shadow of the reality of being cleansed...

    The Religion Box

Your understanding of old testament shadows is very weak. That makes it easy for another spirit and gospel to deceive your mind.

How Do You Read Your Bible?

I try not to use the term literal because the literal interpretation can be either spiritual, or natural (physical) depending upon GOD's intent. Literal just means real or actual, which could pertain to either spiritual or physical. So I strive to say natural instead of literal. My rule is that...

    Strong Delusion

In GOD's eyes, believers' sinful flesh dies when they are baptized into Christ. And he creates in each believer a new spirit that they can serve him in holiness, and promises to raise them from the dead if they persevere in the faith. I can't make it much simpler than that.

    Strong Delusion

I don't know what you mean by your questions; except for holy water, the answer of which is, no.
  16. H

    The Religion Box

That's just an excuse. The old is the pattern for the new. GOD overlooked the sinfulness of the priests because they were doing his will. That is what sanctifies and makes someone holy and acceptable to GOD. The holy priests were continually defiled by sin from handling the sacrifices, and had...

    The Religion Box

Holy doesn't preclude sinfulness. The priests who attended the altar were holy, yet sinful beings. Well obviously the people to whom James was writing weren't perfect (mature), otherwise he wouldn't have directed them to persevere so that could be perfect. Are you completely mature?
  18. H

    Strong Delusion

The death and raising occurred at baptism. If we endure in the faith, our bodies will be resurrected at the last day.

    The Religion Box

Those verses apply to me and I don't deny them. I don't have any religious or denominational slant because I didn't learn what I know from any organization or denomination. Define sinless

    The Religion Box

The ability to not sin and endure comes out of 'my salvation'. They are not mutually exclusive... but then you weren't really clear what you meant by 'my salvation'.
