List being compiled/// Secession

Rjp, you aluminum foil helmet is juuuuuust a little too tight. - Prescott Bush was NOT party to an attempted coup d'etat. Never happened. Never. - Also, there were scores of newspapers in FDR's pocket. There were very few that weren't. - There was the agreement with the heads of several...

Standing up for the Truth - Yoga is not for Christians

Jesus did not jog or life weights either. Using your line of reasoning those should be avoided, as well. I don't do Yoga, but know people that do. Many spend the time in prayer, praying in the spirit, or reciting memorized scripture. Tell me again where the downside in that is.

Another Reason WHY God Is Turning His Back On The U.S.

Whitestone, you need to take a closer look at your O.T. Also, we as Christians of course will not be judged by the actions of our nation, except perhaps if we were in a place to do something about it and chose not to. (There are people on this board actively advocating for Gay Marraige - even...

Tablet as my Church Bible - Yes or No?

I find the quandry strange since most churches I have attended over the last couple of years post the scripture(s) the pastor is referring to on a media screen or overhed projector for all to see. The use of this media is common even in the majority of smaller churches. Unlike in the past, many...

Egyptians rioting...Again

It's a simple matter of "Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss." Morsi is granting himself many of the same powers that Mubarak used to keep Egyptians under his thumb for decades. More blood will be shed as Egyptians struggle not to have the shackles put back on them.

Looks like things are heating up in the ME...

You believe something but you are unable to defend it. I get it. No problem. However, since there is only one position that is rather indefensible, that does make it easy to see where you stand. Hence the blustering to avoid one simple reasonable question. Thanks for clearing that up.

TRUTH

lol No, it was no explanation at all. -- But it WAS invented before it was CLARIFIED. There is no Oral Tradition from Paul's time that supports many of the Catholic beliefs they say is based on Oral Tradition. -- But the Bible doesn't mandate the types of unsupported...

TRUTH

Kepha, you keep taking this round in circles. The question stands: What specific doctrine/dogma/belief is held by Catholics today based on the Oral Tradition of Paul's time. You guys keep using Pauls words about it to justify beliefs you hold. It should be easy enough to support.......if...

You still haven't stated who you feel is the agrieved party in this situation, Gyspy...

Should Christians Support Isreal?

Unfortunately, according to Scripture, there isn't going to be peace in the Middle East. In the meantime, how exactly does one work towards peace with someone who states that your nation has no right to exist and feels the practice of launching suicide bombers and rockets at civilian centers to...

TRUTH

-- Neophyte, honestly.... You KNOW better than that. If you wanted to prove me wrong, you could simply post one or two Catholic belief/dogmas/doctrines based on Oral Tradition from Paul's time. The simple fact is that you cannot. It wasn't until 1950 that Pope Pius XII said 'ex cathedra' that...

Should Christians Support Isreal?

-- Exactly. Well said. God said that Israel was His beloved and He would always be with His people.
13. F

TRUTH

Again you miss the point. Those verses are used to justify Catholic dogma that wasn't in existance when Paul said those things. There has been NOTHING shown that the current Catholic beliefs based on Oral Tradition were even in existance when Paul wrote those words. Many of the Catholic...

Looks like things are heating up in the ME...

Please note that Hammerstone's comment is addressed to a post after mine that he removed. He is not saying that my third request for Gypsy to voice who is actually the agrieved party in this conflct is "insulting to other members."

Standing up for the Truth - Yoga is not for Christians

-- Christmas is based on a Pagan event. -- The 'Christian Fish' has origins outside Christianity. -- The first statues of Mary and Baby Jesus were modeled after statues of Isis and her baby son Horus. -- Even the word "Amem" has non-Christian, non-Jewish, non-True God origins. Does this mean...

TRUTH

-- You and other Catholics on this board have used this scripture more than once to try to justify some of the Catholic beliefs based on 'oral tradition.' But you of course cannot prove that ANY of the traditions Paul was speaking of had anything at all to do with the current Catholic beliefs...

is the Door for the rapture about to close before 2020-Vision

--The events of Matt. 24 will come to pass in the near future. They have NOT already passed.

TRUTH

My questions to Aspen is not a 'gotcha' question. There may be a litany of oral tradition items that mirror the Bible. Just because I am not aware of them doesn't mean they aren't out there in droves. I would simply like to see some examples of them.

TRUTH

Would still like to see Aspen explain this statement:

Standing up for the Truth - Yoga is not for Christians

Yoga itself is not bad. I know of Christians pray or recite memorized scripture to themselves as they do yoga. It is where the heart and mind are at the time it is being done.
